Claims. 1

The present invention relates to a game apparatus and more particularly to the type of game apparatus which is well adapted for a competitive game playing.

An object of the present invention is to provide a detachable game apparatus which is readily assembled for playing a game between partners or individual participants.

A further object of the present invention is to provide individual projection means for each of the participants whereby dice means may be projected into the air with an object of placing the dice means within a cup means for achieving a predetermined score.

Still other objects of the present invention are to provide such means that are simple in construction, easily manufactured and simple in operation.

Various other objects and advantages will become apparent from the detailed description to follow.

The best form which I have contemplated applying my invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:

Figure 1 is a top plan view of the structure of the present invention;

Figure 2 is a vertical sectional view taken substantially along the plane of line 2-2 of Figure 1;

Figure 3 is a perspective view of one of the arms of the game apparatus showing the resilient projection means disposed thereon; and

Figure 4 is a detail perspective view of the cup mounting element which is adapted to join the plurality of arms together.

Referring more particularly to the drawings, wherein like numerals designate like parts throughout, the numeral I0 designates generally the arm members, the numeral I2 designates generally the means for joining the arms together, the numeral I4 designates generally the cup means into which the dice means is to be projected, and the numeral I6 designates generally the dice projection means.

The game apparatus of the present invention is comprised of a plurality of arm members I 0 which are disposed in radial relation, there being as many arms as are desired, Each of the arms I0 has its inner end of substantially rectangular cross section at I8 in which a transversely extending recess 20 is provided for a purpose to be hereinafter described. 22 and 24 which extend substantially the length of the arms. Each of the cut out

22 and 24 is provided with a plurality of recesses 26 into which peg means 28 may be inserted. Indicia means 30 are juxtaposed to the recesses 26 for keeping score. One set of indicia means of the cut out 22 is of denominations of 1 to 9 whereas the indicia means of the other out out portion are the denominations from 10 to by multiples of 10. Thus, scores of from 1 to 100 may be tallied.

Each of the arms I0 is also provided with a pair of recesses 32 of the upper faces thereon for receiving the pegs 28 before the first score is tallied.

The means for joining the plurality of arms I0 together includes the plate I2 which is best shown in Figure 4. The plate I2 is of non-circular form, having a predetermined number of sides dependent upon the number of arms to be associated therewith. As here shown, the plate I2 is of octagonal contour for receiving the four arms with an unused side between each of the pairs of arms. The octagonal plate I2 is provided with a plurality of downwardly extending flanges 34 at the periphery thereon.

When the arms I0 are in their desired relation, the plate means I2 is employed to join them together, as shown in Figure 2. The flanges 34 are received in the recesses Zii of the arms for maintaining the arms in their desired relation.

The plate I2 is also provided with a plurality of upwardly extending projections 36.

A cup means I4 is adapted to be positioned on the plate I2 and is held from movement thereon by means of the projections 36. The cup means I4 may be of substantially tubular form and manufactured from clear plastic or the like.

The resilient projection means I6 whereby the dice means 38 are to be projected, includes the resilient angulated metallic straps 40 which have one end thereof fixedly securedto each of the arms ID by means of the screws 42. The dice projecting means has an intermediate portion 42 extending angularly from the arms III, with the outer ends of each of the metallic straps being formed with angulated portions 44 which are adapted to receive a dice means 38. The outer ends of the straps I6 provide finger engaging portions 46 whereby the straps may be depressed while projecting the dice means from the portions 44.

From the foregoing description taken in conjunction with the drawings, it is believed that a device has been provided which will accomplish all of the objects hereinabove set forth. As seen best in Figure 2, a dice means 38 is positioned within the dice receiving portion 44 and is projected upwardly with an object to positioning the dice means within the cup means l4. The score,

shown by the upper faces of the dice means, is tallied in the recesses along each of the arms. Of course, either partners or single participants may engage in this game of skill.

Having described the invention, what is claimed as new is:

1. A game apparatus comprising a plurality of members disposed in radial relation and with their inner ends in juxtaposition to each other, means for securing the inner ends together, cup means positionable on said first mentioned means, and resilient projection means associated with each of said members whereby dice means may be projected into said cup means, said first mentionedmeans including a flat plate of non-circular form with each side thereof being formed with a downwardly extending flange, transversely extending recesses formed on the inner ends of members for receiving said flanges.

A. game apparatus comprising a plurality of members disposed in radial relation and with their inner ends in juxtaposition to each other, means for ecuring the inner ends together, cup means positionable on said first mentioned means, and resilient projection means associated with each of said members whereby dice means may be projected into said cup means, said first mentioned means including a fiat plate of non-circular form with each side thereof being formed with a downwardly extending flange, transversely extending recesses formed on the inner ends of said members for receiving said flanges, and a plurality of upwardly extending projections on said fiat plate, said cup means being receivable therebetween.

3. A game apparatus comprising a plurality of members disposed in radial relation and with their inner endsin juxtaposition to each other,

means for securing the inner ends together, cup means positionable on said first mentioned means, and resilient projection means associated with each of said members whereby dice means may be projected into said cup means, said first mentioned means including a flat plate of non-circular form with each side thereof being formed with a downwardly extending flange, transversely extending recesses formed on the inner ends of said members for receiving said flanges, and a plurality of upwardly extending projections on said fiat plate, said cup means being receivable therebetween, said resilient projection means includes angulated resilient metallic straps having one end thereof fixedly secured to one of said members, the other end of said straps being in spaced relation to said members and adapted to receive a dice means between the angulations thereof.

4. A game apparatus comprising a plurality of members disposed in radial relation and with their inner ends in juxtaposition to each other, means for securing the inner ends together, cup means positionable on said first mentioned means, and resilient projection means associated with each of said members whereby dice means may be projected into said cup means, said first mentioned means including a flat plate of non-circular form with each side thereof being formed with a downwardly extending flange, transversely extending recesses formed on the inner ends of said members for receiving said flanges, said resilient projection means includes angulated resilient metallic straps having one end thereof fixedly secured to one of said members, the other 'end of said straps being in spaced relation to said members and adapted to receive a dice means between the angulations thereof.

5. A game apparatus comprising a plurality of individual members disposed in radial relation with their inner ends spaced from each other, a flat plate overlying the spaced ends of said members, said plate having downwardly projecting edge flanges disposed in transverse slots in said members to secure said members together, cup

means positioned on said plate, resilient projection means carried by said members whereby dice means may be projected into said cup means.
