This invention relates .toadvertising devices and more particularly to a display sign adapted to display continuous or progressive :a'dvertising matter.
An object of this invention is to provide an advertising device which is especially attractive and well adapted to hold an observers interest.
A further object of the invention is to provide an automatic continuous'or progressive display device using novel means for activating a strip of film placed therein.
Another object of the invention resides in the provision of concentric guide means for housing a film strip of larger size and design so that the film may be conveniently and easily fed before a transparent screen so as to novelly display an advertisers wares.
A yet further object of the invention is toisolate the drive means of the inventionfrom the film whereby the film is protected to a greater degree from deterioration dueto grease or other oils.
Still further objects of the invention reside in the provision of a display sign that is strong, durable, highly efiicient in operation, simple in construction and manufacturer, easy-t operate,

Securedtothe bottom strip of the frame molding 44 is a trayg la in which a fluorescent tube '50 is operatively secured so as to provide means, for illuminating the interior of the casing l2.
Journaled within the top and bottom of the casing l2 are a pair ofjspaced shafts suchas the one indicated by reference-numera152; Each of the shafts have their lower end '54 extending --without the bottom of the'casing and into the chamber 22. The sprocket wheel 56 is securedto the end of the shaft 52 and a chain 58 is trained thereabout'to transfer from sprocket wheel "60 driven by prime mover v'62 which may be an-relectrio motor or other similar .device. A suitable reductiongear. is used to reduce the speed of the motor 62 to the degree: necessary for desirable actuation of the shafts '52.
An additional pair of spaced sprockets 64 and 66 are secured to the shaft 52 by any suitable means adjacent the top and bottom thereof. 00- axial with the shafts 52 are a plurality of spaced arcuate guides such as those indicated by reference numerals 68, 10, 14, 16, and 18. on each of the Vertically extending ends of these guides are secured roller bearings similar to the roller bearing 40 secured to the plate 38 which is best shown in Figure 7 in order to reduce friction on the film.

Since from the foregoing, the construction and advantages of this display sign are readily apparent, further description is believed to be unnecessary,

A reeling system installed in a casing comprising film engaging means journaled in said casing, a plurality of radially spaced substantially concentric guide means substantially concentric with said film engaging means secured to said casing, and drive means operatively connected to said film engaging means, said film engaging means comprising a shaft journaled in said casing, one end of said shaft extending without said casing, spaced sprockets secured to said shaft within said casing and adapted to receive a film trained therearound, and a sprocket wheel secured to said end of said shaft, and a chain trained about said sprocket wheel and operatively connected to a prime mover.
3. The structure of claim 2 wherein said guide means comprise a series of substantially concentric arcuate plates substantially co-axial with said film engaging means.
4. The structure of claim 3 including roller bearings secured to the vertical ends of said plates.
5. A reeling system installed in a casing comprising a pair of spaced shafts journaled in said casing, a plurality of substantially concentric plates secured to said casing substantially coaxial with said shafts, said plates being radially spaced, and drive means operatively connected to said shafts.
6. The structure of claim 5 including spaced sprockets secured to each of said shafts Within said casing and adapted to receive a film trained therearound.
7. The structure of claim 6 wherein said shafts each have an end extending without said casing, sprocket wheels secured to said ends of said shafts, said drive means engaging said sprocket wheels,
8. The structure of claim 7 wherein said drive means comprise a chain trained about said sprocket wheel and operatively connected to a prime mover.
9. The structure of claim 8 wherein said guide means comprise a series of substantially concentric arcuate plates substantially co-axial with said film engaging means.
10. The structure of claim 9 including roller bearings secured to the vertical ends of said plates.
11. In a display sign having a display casing, a drive means container and a continuous display web in said casing, a web winding device comprising a pair of shafts mounted in spaced apart relation in the casing, a pair of web engaging sprockets on each of said shafts, a plurality of radially spaced loop-forming arcuate guides concentric with each of said shafts, said web being entrained over said shafts and said guides.
