FRUIT-JAR FILLING ATTACHMENT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 263,772, dated September 5, 1882. Application filed July 22, 1882. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM M. DOTY, a citizen. of the United States of America, residing at Biggs" Station, in the county of Butte and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Fruit- Jar Filling Attachments; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
My invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in implements for carrying and filling fruit jars and cans; and it consists in providing a spring-band or jar-carrier with non-heat-conducting handles and. a funnel which is adjustable vertically upon the jarcarrier, as will be hereinafter set forth, and pointed out in the claim.
The annexed drawing represents a perspective view of my invention, in which A is a spring-metal band, which is curved, and terminates with straight handles B, to which handles are secured the non-conductin g pieces B, which are secured thereto by means of nails, or in any other well-known manner.
