The annexed drawing represents a perspective view of my invention, in which A is a spring-metal band, which is curved, and terminates with straight handles B, to which handles are secured the non-conductin g pieces B, which are secured thereto by means of nails, or in any other well-known manner. To the spring-band A, at a point opposite the handle, or where there is the least movement of the arm, 0, slotted as shown.
spring when the band is opened and closed to grasp or receive the jar, is secured a screwthreaded bolt, a, which is provided with a thumb-nut, b. By means ofthe boltand thumbnut the attachment hereinafter described is adjustably secured to the jar-lifter. This attachment consists of a funnel of ordinary construction or truncated cone, to which is attached an slot D the funnel can be adjusted vertically to the different styles of fruit-jars. The arm '0 is bent near the point of attachment to the funnel at right angles, so as to bring the base of the funnel over the center of the fruit-jar.
If desirable, the jar-holder may be used in- By means of the 4o dependent of the funnel attachment, and vice versa, though a labor-saving implement is provided when they are used in combination.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is--- In combination with the fruit-jar holder, a
