SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 262,639, dated August 15, 1882.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ROBERT BUCKINGHAM, of Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Printers Tools, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, illust-ratingthe improvement, in which- Figure 1 is a plan view of my invention Fig. 2, a side view of Fig. 1 Fig. 3, an elevation of the hammer end of the device.

The object of the invention is to combine printers tools so that they may used to a better advantage than when they are constructed I 5 in separate pieces.

The nature of the invention consists in the combination of two sizes of quoin-keys with a shooting-stick and hammer-lever in such a manner that either or both of the quoin-keys may be used as a handle to operate the hammer-lever, and so that the hammer-lever may be used asa handle orhead, by meansof which the shooting-stick may be operated, as the whole is hereinafterfullydescribed and shown. A B G E are-four arms united in a single casting at Z. (last solid to the arms B E are respectively the quoin-keys G H, of different lengths or sizes, as may be required for use. Cast solid to the arm A is the shooting-stick get the proper leverage the arms G A are employed as a part of the improvement in this regard,in contradistinction to quoin-keys without this form of arms.

The part F is termed a hammer-lever beeauseitis used as aham mer and a lever. When used as a hammer either arm B E may be employed as a handle, and when it is used to pry devices apart as a lever one or both of the arms may be used.

Now, it is not claimed that there is any invention in casting the arms in one piece irrespective of the uses of the parts herein namedthat is, one part makes the other parts operate to a better advantage.

I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patcut- The arms A B G E,cast in one piece, and the quoin keys (3 H, hammer lever F, and shooting-stick D, combined as and'for the purpose specified.
