- The present invention relates to certain new -and-useful improvements in manually actuable hair trimmers of the self-used type and has more particular reference to a smallhandle-equipped toothed base carrying a replaceable cutting blade cooperating with said teeth.

Here a base [0 is provided of any suitablematerial and ting edge extending to the'forwardinost position of the base. The screw is passed through a notch 22 at one end of the blade 14 and the other end of the blade has another notch 24 forming a seat for the locking pinor screw 28 which is secured to the body or base H1 and which passes through the passage 12. The screw 20 passes through the passage at one end thereof, while the screw 28 passes through the passage at the other end thereof.

this number being chosen merely for illustrative purposes. The teeth arearranged so that the leading points thereof are staggered, as is evident from the plan view in Figure 1. Each tooth is substantially triangular in cross section, for example the tooth 38 in Figure 3, and the teeth have each side tapering toward the front thereof. Reference is now made to Figure 5. There is a base 50, in this instance the base being provided of an upper section 52 and a lower section 54. The base is provided with a smoothly curved cam surface 56 which is equivalent to and which serves the same purpose as the cam surface-36.

The teeth of this form of the invention are shaped similarly to the; teeth of the first describedform of the invention, however there are upper teeth 58 provided at the leadingor front edge of the upper section '52. Having described the invention, what is claimed as new is:

1.
