The; present invention relates to. a wall fixture amizhas special reference to such. a fixture comprising. a bracket for attachment to a wall or similar support and. a multiple-part tray or dish detachably supported thereby.

More particularly this invention relates to a multiple-part dish comprising upper and lower tray members and a bracket havin opposed arms for resiliently and detachabl'y supporting said dishand maintaining the parts or members thereof in proper combined or assembled position.

The multiple-part tray or dish contemplated herein such, for example, as a soap dish, may comprise a lower imperforate tray for catching any soapy water that drains from the soap and an upper perforate tray nested therein and spaced a. distance thereabove forming a space or chamber between the two. Consequently,

when the soap is placed on the upper tray, the

soapy water drains through the perforations into the chamber below where it collects. The upper and lower tray members of the dish are readily separable to provide easy access for cleaning. When the parts are assembled, the dish may be quickly inserted between the arms of the bracket.

These arms support the dish and also serve to prevent separation of the upper and lower tray members whileengaged thereby.

Moreover, the screws or similar securing means for mounting the bracket on the wall or other support are so positioned, that they will be be completely concealed from viewwhen the dish isrsupported: by the bracket;

An object of the present invention is to provide a, fixturerha-ving a multiple-part dish or tray detachably supported by a bracket which, while supporting the dish or tray, maintains the'iparts thereof, in proper" assembled. position and prevents unintended separation thereof.

When the bracket supports a substantially hexagonal dish", such as shown in Fig. 1, the arms are outwardly bowed with the terminal portions ITand' l8 thereof at a slight angle to the inner portions of the arms, so that the arms will fit the opposite ends of the dish. Obviously, when dishes of other'shapes are used the arms will be correspondingly shaped to securely hold the dish employed therewith. The metal portions 19 whichjoin the connecting member M with the arms l2 and ltprovide suflicient resiliency to permit the arms to bespread apart upon insertion and removal of the dish therefrom, and when the dish is in position will prevent unintended remova-l thereof. Other suitable arrangements for providing resiliently mounted arms may be employed.

Each of the arms l2 and I3 is also provided with upper andlower dish-engaging flanges 20 and 2! respectively, and the connecting member l4 may also be provided with similar dish- engaging flanges 22 and 23.

The multiple-part dish illustrated comprises 3 a lower imperforate tray 24 having an upwardly extending peripheral flange 25, and an upper tray 26 projecting within the lower tray 24 and having a downwardly extending flange 21 adapted to overlie the flange 25 of the lower tray. The flanges 25 and 2! are shaped to provide an outwardlyextendin peripheral bead 28, the vertical width of which is such as to permit it to fit between the top and bottom flanges of the arms 12 and I3 and the connecting member 14. The

The portion of the bead 28 at therear of the dish also preferably engages the upper and the lower flangesof the connecting member ,as illustrated in Fig. 5. i

The dish, therefore, may be easily and quickly inserted between the arms l2 and I3 or removed therefrom and, when positioned between the arms, separation of the upper and lower trays is prevented. Moreover, when the dish is supportedby the bracket, the rear side thereof conceals the screws 15 from view presenting a very pleasingtand expensive appearing fixture.

The present invention has been described in connection with the soap dish illustrated. However, it is capable of many additional uses, and the upper and lower trays of the dish may be substantially flat or of any other shape desired, depending upon the use. for which the dish is intended.

While I have shown a particular embodiment of my invention it will Joe-understood, of course, that I do not wish to be limited thereto since many modifications may be made and I, therefore, contemplate by the appended claims to cover any such modifications as fall within the true spirit and scope of my invention;

In combination, a multiple-part dish having a lower imperfo'rate tray member and a readily-separable upper perforate tray member, said members being normally arranged in nesting relationship, andmeans for preventing separation .of said tray members and for supporting said dish, comprising a wall-engagin bracket pro- 1 imperforate tray member and an upper readilyseparable perforate tray member, each of said tray members having a peripheral flange projecting toward the other to form a peripheral beaded portion intermediate the outer faces of said trays when said trays are nested together, the portion of said bracket adjacent the juncture of said connecting member and said arms being resilient and said connecting member and arms at'each side of said resilient portions being channel shaped in cross section to receive said peripheral beaded portion therein and prevent separation of said tray members while supporting said dish.
