comprises loops of non-absorbent material, which can be concealed behind the right and left bust cups of a brassiere and readily detached therefrom to permit of the laundering of the brassiere, and constructed of material which can be tinted to simulate the flesh of the wearer.

A further object of the invention is to provide a pair of plastic loops designed to have a centralizing effect upon the busts of the wearer and to comfortably hold the right and left busts spaced apart, and means for connecting the marginal edges of any brassiere to said loops, so that the loops will be concealed by the bust cups of the brassire, and the busts will be held against accidental displacement from their protecting and covering garment or brassire.

With the above and other objects in view the invention comprises certain new and useful constructions, combinations, and arrangements of parts, clearly described in the following specification, and fully shown in the drawings, in which:

Fig. 1 is a plan view of the companion bust separating plastic loops.

Fig. 2 is a view in perspective, showing the plastic loops in dotted lines behind a conventional brassiere, as it would be worn on a person.

Fig. 3 is an edge view of the plastic loops, i1- lustrating the offset central connecting bridge portion.

Fig. 4 is a fragmentary rear view of a brassiere, showing pockets in the edges of the bust cups thereof to receive the plastic loops.

Fig. 5 is a sectional view of a plastic loop frame, having overlapping garment retaining hooks.

Fig. 6 is a detail sectional view of a clip device.

Referring to the accompanying drawings which illustrate the practical embodiment of the invention, I0 designates a single plastic form having an integral right plastic 100p H, an integral left plastic loop I2, and an integral bridge portion 13, which connects the left and right plastic loops to each other and maintains these loops spaced apart a suitable distance. This bridge portion I3 is offset inwardly, so that it will fit neatly in the depression which naturally exists in the front side of the human chest, between the right and left busts of a Woman. For this purpose this bridge portion 13 is located a short distance above the lower ends of the plastic loops l I and I2, and well below the upper ends of these loops. When the coupled plastic loops are worn 1 Claim. (01. 2 302 with a brassiere having a central clearance between its bust cups, the external 'face of this bridge portion 13 may be suitably ornamented or formed with decorative designs l3a.

Each of the plastic loops is semi-circular in form, and made of relatively thin molded plastic material, tinted to match the color of human flesh, so as to present no color contrast to the skin of the wearer, whenever any portion thereof becomes visible. These loops may be of any desired thickness, and are designed to fit close to the right and left busts of the wearer.

The diameters of the loops may besized to fit a natural bust of given size, so that more than one size plastic loop frame may be provided, just as brassires are made with bust cups of dif ferent sizes.

Each plastic loop has a resilient or yielding action, above and below the bridge portion [3, so that it will exert acentralizing effect on the bust it engages, and thus minimize the tendency of the brassire to compress or flatten the bust.

To permit of the coupling of each bust loop to the bust cup of the brassire, each loop is formed with a plurality of garment connecting hooks I 4, formed thereon, or suitably embedded in the plastic material. Each hook is shown to have a terminal ball [4a, which is adapted to frictionally grip the edge portion of the bust cup of the brassiere. One of these connecting hooks is located near each end of each bust loop, and the other hook is located above the connecting bridge portion [3.

In Fig. 4 I show a brassiere l5, having right and left bust cups IS, the marginal edge of each being formed arcuate pockets or holding straps l1 and I 8, spaced apart to receive the upper and lower ends of the loops.

In Fig. 51 show a modified form of the plastic separating frame, wherein each plastic bust loop is formed with a spring retaining arm 19, which overlies the adjacent portion Of the loop, so that all of the loop may be fully concealed behind the brassiere.

The plastic bust separating frame may be used in connection with any conventional brassiere, and will give maximum styling to the busts, without subjecting the wearer to irritation or discomfiture. When it is desired to send the brassire to a laundry the plastic loop frame may be readily detached from the brassiere.

Due to the fact that the loop frame is constructed of plastic material, it will be non-absorbent, easily washed, and completely sanitary.

It is understood that various changes in the 3 details of construction, their combination and arrangement, may be made in carrying out the invention, as defined in the claim appended hereto.

The resilient plastic loop frame may be used in connection with the upper section of a bathing suit, or used in connection with an evening dress, under conditions which dispense with the use of a primary brassiere.

After removaliof the brassiere the resilient plastic-loop frame may be detached from the brassiere and then attached to the inner side of the upper section of the bathing suit or to the inner side of the evening dress. For this purpose the plastic loop frame is provided with hooks which are applicable for use with these three types of upper garments, and .these books are designed for repeated use.

The bridge portion is particularly adapted to support a detachable clip 20, having a decorative external face. This arrangement permits a lady to make frequent changes inv the use of the ,jewelled or decorative clip used.

Having described the invention, I claim as new:

An attachment for brassires comprising a plastic frame having a .pair of semi-circular, oppositely disposed spaced loops, each loop formed of an upper and a lower member adapted to partially encircle the breasts of a wearer, a bridging member integrally joining said loops, said bridging member including an inwardly offset portion disposed substantially below the horizontal medial line of said frame, each of said loops having a plurality of hooks providing means for detachably mounting said frame upon a brassiere.
