The general purpose of my invention is to prolike of such construction that it can be easily adjusted as to thickness, width and height of the boards and at the same time permit ready access both of the player to the frontside of the board and of the sales clerk to the rear side for the purpose of securin the number designators pushed out of the back side of the board.

Another important purpose of my invention is to provide a device which may be readily adapted to hold display cards, signs and posters such as are ordinarily used by real estate, department store or other similar advertisers.

An important feature of my invention is the provision of a reinforcing bar which may be used as an attachment to prevent bending and warping of display cards which are not entirely self-supporting.

A further advantage of my device is the provision of an adjustable hook which may be used as an attachment to securely position the top section of a display card and preventwarpage and dislocation of the display.

Another important object of my invention is to provide a display holder which is simple in con struction requiring only a few parts and suitable for quick adjustment through simple finger-operated mechanism.

Additional objects and advantages will be apparent from the following description considered in conjunction with the accompanying sheets of drawings or from both as supplements of each other, wherein are set forth certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts and functions.

In the accompanying sheet of drawings forming a part of these specifications, and in which like numerals are employed to designate like parts:

Figure 1 is a perspective view of my display holder having a game board secured therein.

Figure 2 is a side elevation of the same.

Figure 3 is a cross section on line 3-3 showing, however, a light cardboard display secured in the holder.

Figure 4 is a cross section of the reinforcing and supporting brace.

Referring now in detail to Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4 wherein for purposes of illustration are shown preferred embodiments of my invention, the

5 and 6 indicate supporting feet or bases which are connected together and held in the desired frictionally locked spaced relationship by an outer spacer tube 1 telescoping and slidin over an inner spacer bar 8.

Bases

5 and 6 are of identical construction except bore 9 for spacer tube I is larger than bore It for spacer bar 8. Set screw II securely locks tube I and bar 8 in position. Numeral I2 designates a coin'board and numeral I3 a sign or poster display card.

Bases 5 and E are each provided with a suitably proportioned transverse slot I l within which coin board I2 is securely held by spacer clamp I5 slideably positioned in a groove I6 formed in the top surfaces of

An upturned lug I'I formed at one end of spacer clamp i5 is used as a finger hold to slide the clamp in groove I6 and force shoulder It, provided at the other end of clamp I 5, into contact with and tightly pressed against the coin board I2. Spacer clamp I5 is also provided with a longitudinal slot I9 through which clamping screw 20 is inserted in

5 and 6 in such a way that grommet 2| may be tightened thus securing spacer clamp I5 and shoulder I8 in a frictionally locked position supporting game board I2.

The attachments for supporting a sign or poster display card consist of a reinforcing strip 22 which is provided at its lower end with a hook 23 adapted to slide over clamping shoulder I8 of spacer clamp I5. At the other end of reinforcing strip 22 is an off-set section 24 in which is located slot 25. Numeral 26 designates a height spacer bar adapted to slide against off-set section 24 and provided with a bolt 21. Bolt 21 protrudes through and slides in slot 25 and is provided with a wing nut 28 and both bolt 21 and wing nut 28 when tightened secure height spacer bar 26 in the desired position. At the top end of height spacer bar 26 a formed shoulder 29 is provided with a threaded bore 30. Slideably positioned on shoulder 29 is display card hook 3| provided with slot 32 through which Wing bolt 33 releaseably screws into threaded bore 30. A lug 34 formed at one end of hook 3I securely positions the display card by locking wing bolt 33 against hook 3 I.

In the utilization of my display holder a coin game punch board may be easily set up by releasing the clamping screws 26 in each base, then after adjusting the frictionally locked spacer tube 1 and bar 8 the board is set in the holding slots I4, clamps I5 are moved into contact with the back of the board and securely locked in position by tightening the clamping screws 20. With strong self-supporting boards no other adjustments are necessary; however, for thinner display boards constructed of weaker material the upright supporting attachment can be readily added and, if thought necessary, even the top of the card may be secured in position by the use of hook 3I. My device can thus be adjusted to my invention, I do not limit myself to the precise constructions as disclosed, but reserve the right to resort to and substitute various modifications and changes in shape, size and arrangement of parts without departing from the spirit of my invention or the scope of my claims as described and indicated above and in the drawings and the following claims.

Having thus described my invention, I claim:

1. A display card holder consisting in combination of: multiple supporting bases; a telescoping lateral spacer connecting said multiple supporting bases; transverse slots in said supporting bases; depressed grooves provided in the top surface of said supporting bases; frictionally lockable clamps sliding in said depressed grooves; substantially upright reinforcing bars attached to said frictionally lockable clamps; frictionally lockable spacers slideably attached to said substantially upright reinforcing bars; friction- 4 ally lockable hooks slideably attached to said fractionally lockable spacers; all cooperating and co-acting to securely hold and reinforce a dis-v play card in a substantially upright position.

2. In a display holder comprising in combina tion: a pair of supporting bases; a laterally positioned bar attached to one of said supporting bases; a laterally positioned tube attached to one of said supporting bases; said laterally positioned tube telescoping over said laterally positioned bar so as to provide a frictionally lockable means of securing said pair of supporting bases in a lateral spaced relationship; a transverse slot provided in each of said supporting bases; a groove provided in the top surface of each of said supporting bases; a frictionally lockable clamp slideably positioned in each of said grooves; said bases, transverse slots and clamps adapted to position and support said display card.
