nals of the key concealing loop of the strap device. Another object of the invention resides in the provision of a serviceable swingable support .rotatably sustained at one end of thekey con- 'cealing loop and on a transverse pin removably mounted at one end of the watch casing. Other important objects, advantages and features of the invention will appear from'the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings wherein:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the key retainer according to my invention, partly broken away.
Fig. 2 is a fragmentary view of Fig. 1, shown partly in section.
Fig. 3 is a perspective :view'of the-connector.
Fig. 4 is an exploded and perspective view of the buckle and the supporting means .for the 'swingable key.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view illustrating the watch casing sustained in a desired til'table ,position.
Fig. 6 is a fragmentary side view of Fig. 5, and
Fig.1? is a fragmentary view of the key concealing loop.
strap members l0 and looped over th'epins "l2 and I3 removably carried'by corner perforated lugs or bearings l4 extending from the watch casing of the watch broadly denoted W.
More particularly the strap I 0 is looped over the swingab'le member l6 having an eye "or coiled portion vl'l ,movably but .frictionally binding its pin I? "having its 'emi's 'rotatably'and removably retained in adjacent spaced "bearings 14.
Strap [I] is provided with an elongate'd slot 18 to permit the reception of the swiveled tongue [9 pivotally sustained-on the fulcrum pin ZB desirably held in the 'alined bores 2| of the spaced legs 22 of the hasp H provided with a notch or keeper "means '23 for the reception of the free "terminal of the pivoted tongue or *lip l9.

I :qni'ckly mounted ,onthe connector-C. This is-.ac-
icomplished by rfirst spreading apart :the pair rof earsromsocketsm ron;one;end of thestrap and [inzserting-flugs 34 therein. .=T-;hereafter theother lugs 5.35 ofitheconnectorare inserted :into the pair of ears or sockets of the other end of the strap. The strap I0 is of suitable leather, thus'rthe-ears may be desirably-separated, laterally due to the .kenfs 33 whichalso permit the ears or rsockets 132 to, be :moved towards and away from each anther in aqdirection normal to the ,plane of the body :of :the strap. By such action the looped earsj32 :may be readily attached or disengaged ;f'rom the.-conrreotor. Jif attached the connector holdsstrapmember 1H] in-close endlto end relatime.
.To amount the :buckle, characterized --by :the hEIJSDTH andzpivotedton'gue 1.9, on the strap I2 0, ithe looped;ears.32 10f one end of this strap are first removed from T the connector and subsequently threaded through theihasp. Thereafter the ipivoted tongue -is projected into "the longiitud-ina'lly. arrangedmpening +8 and :thepreviously detached loop -ears'32 are againmounted on the connector. 'By such arrangement the strap :may he considered as endless,1 ha v ing been :previously loopedpver the. swiveled supporting "member .1 6 amd the :hasp .I-I. -It follows that-thekeypnbody K and. the swingable member ."lfi rare concealed-by the new endless strap :to :andrspecificall between the upper reach 3 and the lower reachrdefined hy the scomplementarypartsior portionsta and it!) embodying the :ends :29 having :the looped --eai-"s 32.
mhe lefi ap ter i ;,,.n '0 '-mem r 4! 1 conceal the swingable key and the supporting member I6. Moreover should access be desired to the key, strap I I is disengaged from the buckle and the shank of the key may be conveniently projected laterally from between the reaches 31" over portions defining spaced sockets, a connector interposed between said portions and having projections removably receivable in said sockets, a hasp having a crown portion and including spaced limbs defining a gap, fulcrum means traversing said gap and sustained by said limbs, a relatively elongated body interposed between and normally concealed by said reaches and having means swingably sustained on said fulcrum means, a tongue pivoted on said fulcrum means and removably engageable with said crown portion, a perforated strap portion, the latter and said strap means having means to removably sustain said supporting means, and said endless strap and 38 due to the relatively elongated slot I8,
permitting displacement of loops 45 along the pivoted tongue I9. Where the key retainer is disconnected from the wrist, the watch may be supported 'in the tiltable relation shown in Figs. 5 and 6. Thus by swinging the lower strap I rearwardly, the support I6 is rotated rearwardly. By such action the rotatable support constitutes a biased brace intervening the lower and upper reaches 31 and 39, and the latter characterizes a reinforced seat for the watch casing; 7
Various changes may be made in details of construction and arrangement of parts without departing from the spirit'of the invention or sacrificing any of the advantages thereof, for example, the spaced leather straps I0 and I I may be considered as sustained by the watch casing or g in other words the latter is a support for these straps while the spreadable cars 32 also characterize sockets removably receiving the legs or projections 34 and 35 of the connector; the shank or the body of the key also characterize reinforcing means for upper and lower'reaches of strap member III; the brace 50 of'the hasp may be characterized as a crown portion; and the swingable member I6, that is that portion except for its coil I I may be considered as tail portion on which the casing I is seatedin a viewable but oblique posi-' interposed between said portions and having projections removably receivable in said sockets, a hasp having a crown portion and including spaced limbs defining a gap, fulcrum means traversing said gap and sustained by said limbs, a body interposed between and removably concealed by said reaches and having means swingably sustained on said fulcrum means, a tongue pivoted on said fulcrum means and removably engageable with said crown portion, a perforated strap portion, the latter and said strap means having means to hold said supporting means; and said endless strap means having a portion looped over said limbs and having an elongated slot for receiving said tongue.
2. A key retainer adapted to be removably mounted on the wrist of a wearer and adapted to be removably sustained by supporting means; said retainer comprising endless strap means having upper and lower reaches, the lower reach Ii embodying complementary parts having looped means having a portion looped over said limbs and 7 having an elongated slot for receiving said tongue to permit displacement of said last mentioned looped over portion relative to said hasp prior to displacement of said body from between said reaches.
3. A key retainer. adEtptedJtO. cberemovably mounted on the wrist of a' wearer and adaptedito be removably sustained by supporting means said retainer comprising endless: strap means having upper and lower reaches, the lower reachembodying complementary parts having looped over portions definin spaced 'socketsya' connector interposed between said portions, and having projections removably receivable in said sockets; a hasp having a crown portion and including spaced limbs defining a gap, a Ipin-traversingsaid gap and sustained by said limbs, abody normally concealed by said reaches andfh'avin'g means swingably and removably sustained on said pin, a tongue pivoted on said pin and having aterminal removably engageable with said crow'n'portion, a perforated strap portion; the latter and said strap means having means to removablysustain said supporting means and said endless str p means having'a portion looped over said limbs 1 and having an elong ated slot for receiving said tongue. 1 1
