As the notches i3 and 3| are radially disposed about the pivot pin 25 as a center, it will be seen that by elevating the frame 48 a sufiicient distance, so that the lug 5| clears the notches 43, the frame may be turned to any suitable angular position and then lowered so that it will be held securely in that position.
This bracket is very substantial because the pivot pin 25 is supported at two different elevations. Yet it requires a minimum number of parts, there being only four parts in all. be made from stampings for the two bracket portions and a plastic molding for the cover member. While the bracket can be used without the cover member, the latter forms a concealing means for the mechanical parts that results in a bracket with a very pleasing appearance, The cover may be removed, if it is desired to clean out the bracket part, by sliding it upwardly.
The bracket portion is held to a wall or the like by screws that pass through openings in the metal parts. Preferably the screws pass through both vertical bracket portions 16 and Hi to give added assurance of their holding together. Thereafter, the cover part is slipped down over the bracket member, where it remains securely in place.
What is claimed is:
1. In a bracket device, a plurality of L-shaped bracket elements the backs of which are secured together to provide two spaced shelves projecting therefrom, a pin secured in both of said shelves and projecting upwardly therefrom, and a cover member removably secured over said bracket elements, said cover member having a hole through which the pin projects.
2. In a bracket device, a plurality of L-shaped bracket elements the backs of which are secured together to provide two spaced shelves projecting therefrom, and a pin secured in both of said shelves and projecting upwardly therefrom, said pin being united to one shelf, and passing through an opening in the second shelf, with a press-fit.
3. In a bracket device, a plurality of L-shaped bracket elements the backs of which are secured together to provide two spaced shelves projecting therefrom, and a pin secured in both of said shelves and projecting upwardly therefrom, said shelves having aligned openings therein, the pin having an enlarged portion adapted to be disposed between the shelves, with a reduced portion at each end of the enlarged portion, to fit through said openings, one of said reduced portions being fixedly secured through its opening and the other reduced portion fitting through its opening with a binding fit.
4. In a bracket device, a first L-shaped bracket member having a first back wall and a first projecting shelf, a pivot pin secured to said shelf, a second L-shaped bracket member having a second back wall and a second projecting shelf, said see- It can 4 ond back wall and first back wall being attached together with the two shelves in spaced relationship one over the other, said second shelf having a hole to receive and engage the pin, the second back wall, superposed in front of the first one, projecting laterally beyond the first, a enerally L-shaped cover member having a back wall with edges engageable around the overhanging second back wall, and a projecting portion to cover both the first and second shelves, said projecting portion and one of said shelves having notches concentric with the pivot pin.
5. In a bracket device, a first L-shaped bracket member, a second L-shaped bracket member, said members being secured together with the backs in contiguous relation and the shelf portions in parallel spaced relation, aligned apertures in said shelf portions, a mounting pin secured in said apertures and extending upwardly therefrom to receive a mount above said shelf portions, said upper shelf portion being of less area than said lower shelf portion, and radial slots in the edge of said lower shelf adapted to receive a mount edge.
6. In a bracket device, two L-shaped bracket elements, said elements being secured together with the backs thereof in contiguous relation and the shelves in spaced relation, and a pin secured in both of said shelves and extending upwardly including a portion above the shelves adapted to receive a mount.

In a bracket device, a first L-shaped bracket member having a first back wall and a first projecting shelf, a pivot pin secured to said shelf, a second L-shaped bracket member having a second back wall and a second projecting shelf, said back wall and first back wall being attached together with the two shelves in spaced relationship, one over the other, said second shelf having a hole to receive and engage the pin, the second back wall, superposed in front of the first one, projecting laterally beyond the first, a generally L-shaped cover member having a back wall with edges engageable around the overhanging second back wall, and a projecting portion to cover both the first and second shelves.
