This invention relates to a fuel saving device and more particularly to such a fuel saving device adapted to eifect economy of operation by the introduction of a humidifying agent into the gasoline flowing into an internal combustion engine.
A primary object of this invention is the provision of such a fuel saving device characterized by simplicity of installation and manufacture and economy in use.
Still another object is the provision of such a device which may be installed on any existing make of motor vehicle employing a conventional internal combustion engine.
A still further object is the provision of such a device whereby moisture may be introduced into the feed line of an internal combustion engine, at all times to provide the proper degree of humidification to insure the utmost economy and efiiciency of operation.
A still further object is the provision of such a device wherein moist air may be admitted to the carbureter of an engine, and having means to preclude the introduction of actual water and liquid formed thereinto.
Other objects reside in the combinations of elements, arrangements of parts and features of construction, all as will be more fully pointed out hereinafter and shown in the accompanying drawings, wherein there is disclosed a preferred embodiment of this inventive concept.

Figure 1 is a side view partially in elevation and partially in section disclosing the instant invention as applied to a conventional motor vehicle.
Figure 2 is a top elevational view of a radiator cap of such a vehicle having features of the instant invention applied thereto.
Figure 3 is a sectional view taken substantially on the line 3-3 of Figure 2.
Figure 4 is a plan view partially in elevation and partially in section of the connection between the device and the inlet of the carburetor, and
Figure 5 is a sectional View taken substantially along the line 55 of Figure l as viewed in the direction indicated by the arrows.
Like reference numerals refer to like parts throughout the several views of the drawings.
Having reference not to the drawings and more particularly to Figure 1, a motor vehicle of any desired type is generally indicated at Ill and provided with an internal combustion engine schematically indicated at l l. The engine is provided with a carbureter, a portion of which is shown at I2, an intake manifold i3 and a con- 2 nection pipe 14 therebetween. It likewise is provided with a conventional radiator it having a radiator cap I6.
Having reference now to the instant invention, the radiator cap is perforated and provided with a vertically extending bolt ll having a bore l8 therethrough the upper extremity of which is plugged as at l9. A washer Zll is positioned about bolt I I and secured in position as by a locking nut 2 I. A transverse bore 22, cut through washer 20 and the side wall of .bolt ll intersects bore l8. Seated in bore 22 and secured therein in any desired manner as by threading is one end of a horizontally extending hollow tube 23 t0 the other end of which is connected the end of a flexible conduit 24, such as a rubber hose.
As best shown in Figures 4 and 5 the opposite end of hose 24 engages one end of a metal tube 25 having its other end engaged in a suitable aperture 26a in the side wall of a sleeve Zi or the like. Sleeve 26 is adapted to be positioned between gaskets 21 and 28 between the intake manifold I3 and carbureter I2, the assembly being secured as by bolts 29 extending through the gaskets and the sleeve.
A suitable regulating means for the regulation of the quantity of water vapor admitted into the intake is also provided. Such means takes the form of a screw 30 passed through a suitable threaded aperture in pipe 25 and provided exteriorly of the pipe with, a head 3| and interiorly thereof with a point 32 engaging a suitable seat on the opposite side to provide a valve means for the regulation of the amount of vapor passed therethrough.
From the foregoing it should now be readily seen that water vapor from the radiator ascending into the upper portion thereof adjacent the cap l6 passes through the bores l8 and 22, and the tube Hi, then passes valve in the pipe 25 into the sleeve 26, and thence substantially directly and commercial importance.

I claim:
In combination with a humidifying attachment for internal combustion engines having a conduit communicating with a radiator and an intake manifold, a connection for releasably securing said conduit in communication with said radiator including, a radiator cap, a hollow bolt extending through said cap and in open communication with the interior of the radiator, a collar on said bolt on said cap, a lateral bore in said collar communicating with the interior of said bolt, a laterally extending pipe supported by said lateral bore, and adapted for releasable engagement by said conduit.
