A piston rod H rises from the piston to the plate 32, in which it is-rigidly anchored, the; result being that the rising piston rod carriesthe plate 32 and the stems 33, 34 upward, thereby to pushthe bottom plate 20 and ,the charge of concrete upward through the open mold to the very top thereof. The operator thereupon lifts the plate away from the mold and carries it, with the completed blockthereon, to a curing and drying rack.
, The valve 65 is now returned to the position of Fig. 2, causing the pressure fluid to flow through a pipe" to the upper end of the cylinder 69 positively to return the piston 10 and the parts carried therebyto theinitial positions of these parts, at, the same time forcing the pressurefluid below the piston through a discharge connection 164 back to its source. Finally, the stem of the valve 60 is turned clockwise to connect the intake thereof,- through the passage 62, with a flexible hose 5!! to carry thepressure fluid behind'the piston 39 to return the piston to its initial position, thereby again lowering, the casing 3|;
When the valve 6llis .so turned, it is noticed that a second passage '51 of the stem of the valve .60. connects the hose 63, which is not carrying the inflowing pressure fluid, with a discharge pipe, .15, thereby to permit. the piston 39 to be moved by the pressure fluid. This discharge pipe may also return the fluid to the common pressure souree.-- The mold is now reset in position to receive a new charge of concrete, upon first placinganother bottom plate 2nutherein.

stand, a mold onsaid stand open at the-top to receive a concrete mixture, a compression member seatable on the bottom of said mold, a plate below the mold parallel with said member, studs rising from-said plate to the underside of the member, a casing vertically movable within the stand, transverse guides on said casing, a slide niovable'within said guides, a cylinder on one end of said guides, a'piston in said cylinder rigidly connected with said slide, arms hungon the stand and pivotally connected with the slide; and means carrying pressurefluid to said cylinder to mov'e said piston and slide thereby to swing said'ar'ms and so to move the casing and plate vertically.

stand, a mold on said stand openat the top to receive a concrete mixture, a compression member seatable on the bottom of said mold, a plate below the mold parallel with said member, studs rising from said plate-toth'e underside ofthe member, a casing vertically movable within the stand, transverse guides on said casing, a slide movablewithin said guides, a cylinder on one end of said guides, a piston in said cylinder rigidly connected with said slide, arms hung on the stand and pivotally" connected with the slide, means carrying pressure fluid to said cylinderto move said piston and slide thereby to swing said arms and soto move the casing and plate vertically, and a-valve controlling the flow of pressure fluid to one end of the cylinder to the other, thereby positively to raise or lower the casing and plate.

standya mold on said stand open at the top to receive a concrete mixture, a compression member seatable on the bottom of said mold, a plate below the mold parallel with said member, studs rising fromthes aid plate to the underside of saidmember, a casing vertically movable within said stand, a slide transversely movable in said casing-means on the casing for moving said slide, connections from the slide to the stand for translating transverse movement of the slide into vertical-movement of the casing thereby to elevate said plate and member, and hydraulicallyactuatedmeans for further elevating the plate and member togexpelthe molded block.
