Definitions
- My present invention relates to improvements in display stands made up with the aid of elements, preferably of hardened glass or of any other material (metal, Plexiglas, wood, etc.) for diiierent articles, especially for show-window articles. It relates also to the pieces of furniture obtained with the aid of such a stand.
- the object of the invention is to render possible to determine in a simple and automatic manner (that is to say without the windowdresser or display man having to perform any regulating work) the position in height or in depth of objects which are to be displayed.
- this stand comprises a sheet, for instance a glass sheet, of big volume, which is placed upright and which possesses, at its upper part, some steps each of which may cooperate with a sheet of the same height as the step disposed at right angles with regard to the sheet and fitted into the latter, in a known manner, with the aid of slits having a width that is substantially equal to the thickness of the sheets, the steps and the sheets, placed at right angles to th latter, constituting crossshaped supports for elements made habitually of glass, for instance plates bearing objects to be displayed.
- Figure 1 illustrates the principle which forms the basis of th invention. This figure represents a stand with three steps; if desired, only two steps may be provided.
- Figs. 2 and 3 show separately the elements which can enter into th formation of a stand according to the invention.
- Figs. 4, 5, 6 and 7 show different stands based on the principle illustrated in Fig. 1.
- the stand making the subject matter of the invention, is composed in its simplest form, represented in Fig. 1, of a sheet, for instance a lass sheet I (big volume) which, when used, is
- the notches 8 and 9 have a width which is equal to or slightly greater than the thickness of the sheets.
- Fig. 4 represents a stand wherein use is made of a sheet Ia, formed by the juxtaposition in the lengthening of one by another of two sheets I, so as to form on either side of a central support II, a step I2 and a step I3, the steps I2 and th steps I3 being each on one and the same level.
- FIG. 5 it is possible to combine an ensemble such as represented in Fig. 4 with an ensemble such as represented in Fig. 1, the sheet I being fitted into the central support I l of sheet Ia; sheet I is placed at right angles with respect to sheet la.
- Fig. 6 shows a stand formed by the fitting into each other of two ensembles of the type represented in Fig. 1, the sheets I being placed in directions perpendicular one with regard to the placed upright and has in its upper part some steps 2, 3, 4 (Fig. 2).
- each step cooperates a sheet 5, 6 or I (Fig. 3), also of glass, which has the same height as the step, which is disposed at right angles with regard to the sheet I, and which is assembled with this latter thanks to the fact that the sheet sheet I notches 8 beginning above, but in this other.
- Fig. 7 relates to a disposition wherein sheets I.
