(01. 40-426) This invention relates to an advertising device in the form of a display mirror wherein the prodnot of the advertiser is shownin a unique manner in combination with a weather recording instrument.

The particular object of the invention is to provide an effective and economicalconstruction for a mirror advertising device.

Other objects and benefits will be describe in the following descriptions and drawings indisplay and decorative sections as will later be explained;

Now referring to the drawings, and at the outset particularly to Fig. 4 the unitary back section of the device is composed of a heavy cardboard section Ill having openings l I and I2 therein. Immediately back of the heavy section I is a lighter cardboard section [4 and bothof thesesections are combined together in a unit by means of the paper tape section which is securely pasted on the back of section I4 and over the side and front edges of section ID. This entire back section is supported by the cord 22 through holes 22' as shown.

Now referring to Figs. 2 and 3 the front glass section [6 has transparent sections 26, 21, 28 and 29 provided by the decalcomania display means 3!] and the mirror reflection means 3| applied to the back of the glass l6. Decorative means is also applied to the back of the glass l6 as is shown by the lines I9, 20 and 2|. The glass I6 is first silvered, leaving apertures 26, 21, 28 and 29 as well as area 36 and strips [9, 20 and 2|. Decalccmanias thereafter are applied on the strips. The assembly of the front and back sections is effectively accomplished by the assembly of 1 these sections whereupon corner clips 32 are applied over the assembled sections and effectively held together by brads 34 inserted through openings 33 in the corner section and driven into the heavy cardboard section l0. Thus, I provide an effective. and economical mirror advertising device wherein the dealers name and a sample of his wares is displayed, together with a thermometer or similar weather instrument. I

Having thus described my invention, I now claim as new: I

1. In an advertising device, a back section comprising a heavy cardboard element having openings therein for receiving advertising samples and a thermometer, a light cardboard element for closing the back of'the heavy cardboard ele-'- ment, a light tape element for binding the heavy and light elements together, openings through the combined back section, and a support cord inserted througth the openings; a. glass front secopaque areas provided by applying reflector sub stance to the back of the glass section, and display cardsattached tothe back ofthe glass section over some of the transparent areas for displaying the dealers name and slogan; and corner brackets for holding the front and back sec tions together whereby the. device may be hung by the cord as a unitary advertisement.

2. In an advertising device, a back section comprising a heavy cardboard element having openings therein for receiving advertising samples and a thermometer, a light cardboard element for closing the back of the heavy'cardboard element,
