adapted to support collecting overs or thelilie; said stand being: provided with supportingineinbers for the covers, which members are swingable in a vertical plane. atleast 1:80 each supp'ontingmemberbeing provided with a device fordetacliiably hollii'ng r-a cover. i i
According. to one feature; of." the. invention. the
holding device for each cover is constructed and connected with the supporting member in such manner that the cover is slidable in a plane parallel to the swing axis of the supporting member.
According to another feature the holding device for each cover is constructed and connected with the supporting member in such manner, that the cover is also turnable in a plane parallel to the swing axis of the supporting member,
Other features of the invention will appear from the following description and the claims.
In the accompanying drawings: i
Fig. 1 is a top view of a stand in the form of a table.
Fig. 2 shows a vertical section of the same on the line II--II in Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a top view of the table supporting a collecting cover in open position.
The stand is provided with four legs (the lower part of the legs being omitted in Figure 2),
which are connected with each other by four bolts 2. Two of these bolts areconnected with a number' of vertical plates. 3 at equal distances from each other and between which a number of arms ,4 are swingably mounted ona bar 5 extending through all of the plates 3 and positioned a little on the side of the middle between the ends of each arm 4. On the outside of the outermost plates 3, side detachable supports 6 are provided having their upper sides on the same level with the upper sides of the arms 4 when these take the horizontal position shown with dotted lines in Fig. 2 in l which position all of the arms are positioned in the same horizontal plane and together with the side supports form a table. Three of the bolts 2 support rollers 1' of rubber or the like which serve as stop members for the covers 8, as will appear from the following. Each arm 4 is provided on one side with a. button 9 having an elongated head which is adapted to pass through an fl Atpplicaitiion-September 29,r9411 SeriaLNbMI ZBGS 5 m. 1 ImSwedemAugusthZlMflw 1 Tremain (015454 elongated aperture [0 in the back of the cover 8, y

Thereupon the cover is turned so that the cover back will be parallel to the arm 4, and is thereafter slid so that the end of the cover back engages under the tongue II. The cover is now attached to the arm 4, Whenthe cover 8 is to be without use it is closed so that the side covers take a vertical position as shown in the upper part of Fig. 2. On account of the eccentric position of the swing axis 5 the cover 8 rests by its own weight (and the weight of any papers contained in the same) on the upper roller I to the left in Fig. 2.- By swinging the arm 4 clockwise (according to Fig.2) the cover may now be turned to its lower position, in which the cover rests on the lower roller 1 to the right, and also in this case on account of the eccentric position of the swing axis;
When a leaf or a card is to be inserted in or, withdrawn from the cover or an annotation is to A be made on theleaf or card the arm 4 is swung counterclockwise (according to Fig, 2) to its upper position, whereupon the cover is opened, the other arms 4 which hold the downwards positioned covers serving together with the side supports 6 as a supporting table forthe opened cover (Fig- 3). By the fact that the cover is slidable on its supporting arm the cover may be moved relative to the writer to a suitable position for handy writing. By the fact thatthe cover also is turnable on its supporting arm it is possiblefor the writer to work at several adjacent stands and to bring any cover to asuitable position forthe writer. i L
One end-of each arm 4 has an inclined end surface which inthe position of the arm 4, in which the cover hangs downwards, is directed upwards,
and on which a label may be applied which shows the number, contents or the likeof the cover.
What I claim is: i l. A stand adapted to support collecting covers or the like, a plurality of collecting covers, supporting members for said covers, said members being swingably mounted on the stand to swing in a vertical plane through a range of at least aperture in its longitudinal dimension so that it is able to pass through the aperture only in a turned position of the cover which forms a right angle to the normal position of the cover.
2. In a stand for supporting collecting covers or the like, and provided with supporting members for the covers, which members are swingable lna vertical plane through at least 180, collecting covers held by said supporting members, each supporting member being provided with a device for detachably holding a cover, said holding devices comprising a stud, fixed on' one of the parts tob'e connected and having alaterally enlarged head, engaging in an elongated aperture formed in the other part, the lateral extent of the head of the stud being greater than the width of the aperture and the longitudinal extent thereofvbeing no greater than the width of the aperture, said stud being slidable in the longitudinal direction of said aperture through a substantial portion of the length of the cover.
3. A stand for supporting collecting covers or the like comprising, a, plurality of collecting covers, supporting members for the covers, means for pivotally holding said supporting members so as to swing in a vertical plane through at least- 180", and an elongated 'slot-and-headed-stud connection for detachably and slidably connecting each cover with its supporting member to enable the cover to slide in a direction transverse to i the pivotal axis of the supporting member through a substantial portion of the length of the cover.
- .4. A stand for supporting collecting covers or the like comprising, a plurality of collecting cover's, supporting members for the covers, and
means for pivotally mounting said supporting members to swing in a vertical plane through at least 180, each supporting member and its supported cover being provided with an elongated slot-and-headed-stud connection for detachably and slidably holding the cover on its supporting member to enable the cover to slide in a direction transverse to the pivotal axis of the supporting member through a substantial portion of the length of the cover and also to turn in said plane.
