In the sale of some articles such, for instance, a shoe laces, these may be sold in boxes of rather large numbers and if one desires to purchase for re-sale less than the complete box,yhe has no convenient manner 'of displaying the same.

A front wall 20 of some transparent material may also be provided to assist in protecting the banded pairs of laces or other articles so packaged.

An easel member 2| is formed by cutting the back wall l0 along the lines 22,23, and 24 and folding the stock so slit along the line 25 to pro Vide this easel member and to leave an opening 26 in the back wall 10. In order to lock this easel member 2| in position, the easel is cut out to provide a recess 2'! (see Fig. 4 or Fig. '7)v and the stock of the back wall I0 is further out along the line 28 somewhat in the shape of the upperportionnof a heart and folded along the line 29 to provide lock 36 so that the heart-shaped notch 30 will enter a cut-out recess 3| in the easel which is shown, in engagement in Figs. 2 and .4 whereby to lock this easel in position. I have provided a, slidable member 32 which is passed through the opening 26 so as to lie along the rear surface of the back wall ID to provide a handle by which this member may be readily engaged so that the member 32-may be slid upwardly with reference to the back wall I!) from the position shown in Fig. 7 to the position shown in Figs. 1, 2, and 4. In order to assist this manipulation a hole 34 is provided for the insertion of some sharppointed instrument if, desired.

. The lower edge 3,5 of this member 32, when in its raised position, will rest upon the part 3la of the looking member 36 soias to hold the slidable member 32 in raised position. A notch 31 is formed in the lower edg of this member 32 so as to receive this part 3 la of thelocking member and by the depth of this notch the height at which the member 32 willbe retained in raised position will be determined. I claim:

1. A display package comprising a back wall with means extending forwardly thereof for con.- taining merchandise, a portion of said wall being foldable rearwardly to provide an easel and leave an opening in said wall, and a display member of generally the size and shape of said wall loosely resting against the forward side-of said wall provided with a tab fixed thereto and extending through said opening and along and in frictional engagement with the rear side of the wall to hold the member against the wall and providing a handle for said member to slidably move the same upwardly beyond the upper'edge of said'wall to expose its upper portion for display.

2. A display package comprising a back wall with means extending forwardly thereof for containing merchandise, a portion of said wall being foldable rearwardly to provide an easel and leave an opening in said Wall, and a display member of generally the size and shape of said wall loosely resting against 'the' forward side of said'wall provided with'a' tab cut from the stock thereof extending through said opening and along and in frictional engagement with the rear side of the wall to hold the member against the wall and providing a handle for said member to slidably move the same upwardly beyond the upper edge of said wall to expose its upper portion for display;

Adisplay package comprising a back wall with means extending forwardly thereof for containing merchandise, an easel foldable rearwardly from said wall and leaving an opening therein, a locking member also-foldable from saidwall into engagement with said easel andwith aportion thereof extending through said o'peningiand forward of saidwall, and a member on the forward side of said wall inclosedwithin said package and slidable upwardly beyond the upper edge of said wall to expose its upperportionl forj dis] play, saidslidable member when in its-uppen'po' sition resting on" the said portion of the locking member extending through said opening to be supported thereby in raised position.

4.
