in wall and plumbing fixtures and has reference more particularly to a` structure wherein a pair of plumbing fixtures are mounted on opposite sides of a partition'wall.
One of the important objects of the present invention is to provide a structure of the above mentioned character which is particularly adapted for use in conjunction with low cost housing projects, including apartments and knock-down buildings.
An important object of the invention resides in the provision of a structure that is constructed of non-critical materials, such as met-al, the-parts being so constructed and arranged as to be very easily assembled.
A further object is'to provide a structure of the above mentioned character which includes a pair of concrete slabs adapted to be, arranged in a recess in a partition wall in back-to-back relation with pockets formed in the outer front faces of the slabs to receive the inner portions side of the wall and the other unit projecting i from the opposite side of the partition wall. l
A still further object is to provide a structure of the above mentioned character 'wherein the concrete slabs and sink andv basin are formed with suitable conduits to supply hot and cold water to the receptacles and to also discharge the water therefrom into a suitable waste carryingoff conduit. i
Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent during the course of the following description, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing.

in the drawing, wnerein'tnere is'sno'w'n a preferred embodiment of my invention, the numeral I designates generally a partition wall arranged between two rooms of a house or apartment, or other building. The wall includes the spaced vertical studs 2 which form a space 3 therebetween. A oor is designated by the numeral 4. Fitted within the space or recess 3, between the studs 2, are the rectangular shaped concrete slabs 5 and 6, respectively, that are formed of concrete material.
The slabs are disposed in back-to-back relation between the opposite faces of the partition wall, in the manner as is more clearly shown in Figures 2, 3 and 4 of the drawing.
Each slab is formed with vertical passages 'I and 8, respectively, that extend from the bottom edge `of the slab and communicate at their upper ends with the horizontally extending passage 9, the purpose of which will be presently described.
Each concrete slab is formed with a substantially rectangularly shaped pocket I inthe front face of the upper portion thereof and this pocket is located below the horizontal passage 3.

The lower end of the passage 'I has communication With the water Supply line I5 extendingr beneath the floor 4, which leads toa suitable source of cold water supply (not shown) and similarly, .the lower end of the other passage way 8 has connection with a hot water supply line It. Extending outwardly from the central portion of the horizontal passageway 9 is the valveless These faucets extend from opposite sides of the partition wall and supply het and cold water to the respective receptacles mounted on the slabs.
Each slab is formed with a discharge conduit 2e that has its upper end extending tofthe bottom of the respecnye'pocket It; A trap 2r is associated with the lower end of each conduit and a discharge conduit 22 extends from this trap 20 in each slab to the bottom thereof.
A fresh air supply revent 23 is formed in each slab and communicates at its upper end with the respective trap 2I and the lower end of this revent passage extends to the bottom of each slab for a purpose also to be presently described.
The various passages or conduits formed in each of the concrete slabs are produced by the usual plastic molding methods and suitable cores are employed for forming these passageways, it being understood that these cores are removed after the plastic material has set. In this manner, properly formed passageways will be produced without requiring the use of metal liners, thus saving considerable material and expense.
Each slab is formed at its bottom with the iianged portions 24, the same extending transversely of the slabs and these fianged portions constitute channeled guides for slidably receiving the flanged portion 25 of the concrete waste carrying-off conduit 26. This waste carrying-off conduit 2E is formed with openings 21 in the top thereof for communication with the lower ends of the respective discharge conduits 22. Further, the conduit 2B is formed with a vent passageway 28 in the interior along one side thereof, for communication with the lower ends of the revent passages 23. This concrete waste carrying-off conduit is adapted to have communication at one end with the conventional sewage pipe, (not shown).
The basin I I is formed with a discharge opening 29 in the bottom of the central portion thereof and a similar discharge opening 30 is formed in the bottom of the central portion of the sink I3. A stopper 3i may be provided for the opening 29 in the basin I I while a strainer 32 is associated with the opening 39 in the sink I3.
Formed in the bottom portion of the basin IIv is the conduit 33 which has communication between the outlet opening 29 and the discharge conduit 29 in the concrete slab 5. A similar conduit 34 affords communication between the opening 30 in the sink I3 and the upper end of the conduit 20 in the slab 6.
While I have shown a basin and a sink as associated with the two concrete slabs, I -do not wish to limit myself to these particular types of fixtures, as any other form of xture may be equally as well employed, as may be desired.
With the parts assembled in the manner as shown in the drawing, by stepping upon the foot controlled valves I1 and I8, cold and hot water will be delivered to the passages 'I and 8, from which such Water is delivered to the horizontal conduit 9 and will be discharged therefrom through the faucet I9 into the fixture, depending upon which set of Valves are actuated. If it is desired to supply cold water alone, the valve controlling the cold water supply only is actuated, and conversely, if hot water is desired, the hot water control valve alone is actuated.
The waste water is discharged from the receptacles into the discharge conduits 20 and from the traps 2| to the discharge conduits 22, into the waste carrying-oir conduit 26.
The revent passageway 23 will prevent backsiphonage of the water in the trap 2l, and fresh air will be supplied through this passageway 23 from the vent 28 to the trap.
In Figure 5 of the drawing, I have shown a modification of the waste carrying-oli conduit, wherein this conduit 35, which is also formed of concrete, is provided with the flanged portions 36 at the sides of the top portion thereof. The discharge of the waste water into this conduit enters throughV the opening 31 in the central portion of the top. In lieu of having the hot and cold water supply lines separate from the conduit, the flanged portions may be formed with passages 38 and 39 to deliver the hot and cold water to the respective passages 1 and -8 in the concrete slabs, it being understood .that suitable connections will be provided between the passages 38 and 39 and the passages 'l and 8 in each slab. The conduit 35 is also formed with the vent passage 40. If desired, instead of having the hot and cold passageways on opposite sides of the conduit, one side of the waste carrying-off conduit may be enlarged to accommodate both the hot and cold water passages.
It will thus be seen from the foregoing description, that I have provided a structure that does not require the use of any critical materials or metals and due to its simplicity, the same may be constructed and sold veryinexpensively and, further, readily and easily assembled. y
It is, of course, understood that the various water passages or conduits and their respective water supply conduits may be provided with suitable water tight connections.
Preferably, the parts are molded from concrete, although any other desirable plastic material may be employed.
A structure of this character will at all times be positive and efhcient in its operation and there will be no parts to become inoperative. Y
While I have shown the preferred embodiment of my invention, it is to be understood that various changes in the size, shape and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention and the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is:
l. The combination of a partition wall having its opposite sides open and formed wi'th a recess, the sides of which are formed by a pair of studs, a pair of slabs arranged vertically in said recess between the studs and disposed in back-to-back relation with respect to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a fixture 'tted in each pocket and extending outwardly from the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs being formed with Water supply and discharge passages, means for supplying water to the supply passage at its lower end, the upper end of said supply passage having communication with the xture, the fixture having a discharge conduit in its bottom for communication with the discharge passage in the slab, and a waste carrying-off conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge passage of each slab.
2. The combination of a partition wall having its opposite sides open and formed with a recess, the sides of which are formed by a pair of studs, a pair of slabs arranged vertically in'said recess between the studs'and disposed in back-to-back relation with respect to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a iixture fitted in each pocket and extending outwardly from the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs being formed with water supply and discharge passages, means for supplying water to the supply passage at its lower end, the upper end of said supply passage having communication with the fixture, the fixture having a discharge conduit in its bottom for communication with the discharge passage in each slab, and a waste carrying-off conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge passage of each slab, all of said parts being formed of plastic material.
3. The combination of a partition wall having its opposite sides open and formed with a recess, the sides of which are formed With a pair of studs, a pair of concrete slabs arranged vertically in said recess. between these studs and disposed in back-to-back relation with respect to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a fixture having its rear body portion fitted in each pocket and extending outwardly from the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs being formed with a water supply passage that extends upwardly from the bottom of the slab, each slab being formed with a horizontal passage that communicates with the upper end of the .vertical water supply passage, a faucet for delivering water from the horizontal passage to the interior of the fixture, each slab being formed with a discharge conduit leading from the bottom there.. of to the bottom of the respective pocket, the fixture associated with each slab having a clischarge passage leading from its interior to the top of the discharge conduit in the respective slab, means for supplying water to the supply passage, and a Waste carrying-off conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge conduit of each slab.
4. The combination of a partition wall having its opposite sides open and formed with a recess, the sides of which are formed with a pair of studs, a pair of concrete slabs arranged vertically in said recess between these studs and disposed in back-to-bacl: relation with respect to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a fixture having its rear body portion fitted in each pocket and extending outwardly from the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs being formed with a water supply passage that extends upwardly from the bottom of the slab, each slab being formed with a horizontal passage that communicates with the upper end of the vertical water supply passage, a faucet for delivering water from the horizontal passage to the` interior of the fixture, each slab being formed with a discharge conduit leading from the bottom thereof to the bottom of the respective pocket, the fixture associated with each slab having a discharge passage leading from its interior to the top of the discharge conduit in the respective slab, means for supplying water to the supply passage, a. trap associated with the discharge conduit in each slab, fresh air supply conduit extending from the bottom of each slab to the trap portion thereof, and a waste carrying-off conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge conduit of each slab, said waste carryoff conduit being provided with a vent passage for communication with the fresh air supply passage.
5. The combination of a partition wall having its opposite sides open and formed with a recess, a pair of concrete slabs arranged vertically in said recess and disposed in back-to-back relation with respect to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a xture fitted at its rear portion in each pocket and extending outwardly from said recess and disposed in back-to-back relation being formed with hot and cold water supply passages that extend vertically through the slabs, a horizontal conduit connecting lthe upper ends of the hot and cold water supply passages, means connected with the horizontal conduits for delivering the water to the interior of the fixture, means for supplying hot and cold Water to the respective supply passages, at the lower ends of the latter, each slab being formed with a discharge conduit that extends from the bottom to the pocket, the fixture having a discharge conduit in its bottom for communication with the upper end of the discharge conduit in each slab, and a waste carrying-oli conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge conduit of each slab.
6. The combination of a partition Wall having its opposite sides open and formed with a recess, a pair of concrete slabs arranged .vertically in said recess and disposed in back-to-back relation with respect to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a i'ixture tted at its rear portion in each pocket and extending outwardly from the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs being formed with Vhot and cold water supply passages that extend vertically through the slabs, a horizontal conduit connecting the upper ends of the hot and cold water supply passages, means connected with the horizontal conduits for delivering the water to the interior of the fixture, means for supplying hot and cold water to the respective supply passages, at the lower ends of the latter, eacli slab being formed with a discharge conduit that extends from the bottom to the pocket, the fixture having a discharge conduit in its bottom for communication with the upper end of the' discharge conduit in each slab, and a waste carrying-off conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge conduit of each slab, the lower edges of the slabs and the upper portion of the waste carrying-01T conduit being provided with interengaging flanges to permit slidable connection of the conduit to the slabs,
7. The combination of a partition Wall having its opposite sides open and formed with a recess, a pair of concrete slabs arranged vertically in with respect -to each other, each of said slabs being formed with a pocket in its outer front face, a xture fitted at its i'ear portion in each pocket and extending outwardly from the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs being the respective side of the wall, each of said slabs formed with hot and cold water supply passages that extend vertically through the slabs, a horizontal conduit connecting the upper ends of the hot and cold water Supply passages, means connected with the horizontal conduits for delivering the water to the interior of the fixture, means for supplying hot and cold water to the respective supply passages," at the lower ends of the latter, each slab being formed with a discharge conduit that extends from the bottom face of the slab to its pocket, a trap in said discharge conduit, the fixture having a discharge conduit in its bottom for communication with the upper end of the discharge conduit in the slab, a waste carrying-off conduit for communication with the lower end of the discharge conduit of each slab, said waste carrying-off conduit being formed with a vent passage, each slab being provided with a fresh air supply passage leading from the vent passage in the Waste carrying-off conduit to the trap.
