The top line (it) at the rear end opens directly into an exit flue chamber (in) tlu'migh an aperture governed by a damper (a) which is opened to kindle the tire, or when it is not desired to heat the oven, but whcn closed then the top line discharges into two diring sidc lines to, 0) at the back, and these discharge into two side tlues (p, 7/) at the bottom, passing directly under the bottom plate ot the oven. And at the trout end of the oven these two lines 1, 7),) dis-- charge into a return flue (q) placed between them and running; back and discharging into a vertical line at the back and placed between the two diving or side lines (0, 0) and the upper end of this discharges into the exit line chamber (at). The back and bottom lines above described are made as usual in this class of stoves by the oven plates and back plates (8) and bottom plate (ll, of the stove; and these are inclosed by a l'alse bzlck (u) and False bottom (V) whenever. as before stated, it is desired to prevent the heat from being radiated into the room. This false back (a) is made either of sheet or cast metal with the edges fitting close to the urface of the stove, and with a flanch at top which enters under a cleat (w) on the under surface of the bottom plate (11") of the exit tlue chamber (m) and then held in place at bottom by a pin (y) fitted to a hole in the bottom plate or by any well known catch; and the false bottom (V) has a rim all around, the upper edge of which fits up against the bottom plate of the stove, and it is provided with a lip like a hasp, on each side which fits over a staple on the bottom plate of the stove that it may be secured in place by belts or pins passing through the eyes of the staples. The false back and bot tom are so formed as to leave an air space between them and the stove back that the air contained therein may act as a non-conductor to prevent the radiation of heat into the room.
The top plate (a) of the stove extends back over the exit flue space (m) and besides the usual boiler holes it has a large hole (5') to receive a large boiler (0') formed with two llucs (4, d) which pass through the bottom. one near each side, and run up obliquc ly through and to the top of the boiler whcrc they unite in one, as at (0'), to connect with the usual stove pipe or chinmey.
As the gaseous products of cm'nbustion enter the time .space (ml From the middle back lluc they must spread and act under the bottom ol the boiler to get to the two lines in the bottom of the boiler, through which they ascend to the pipe The boiler (0), as is shown by the drawings, has a removable or hiup cd cover, thus allowing; easy access to its interior tor the supply or removal of its contents and the making; of it closed or tight, as occasion or use may require. In this way the heated oases not only act el'liciently against the entire b ttom oi the boiler, but inside thereof through two lines which have their heating: surface increased by being inclined to form the single connection with the chin'iney.
hat I claim as my invention ot improvements on the well known return flue store herein specified, is-
l. in combination with a stove such as describcd making: the front plate at the orcu open with doors and an apron to receive and hold a tin kitchen or roaster, substantially as specified, that the heat radiated by the front plate of the tire chamber may be aided by the. heat: radiated by all the oven plates, as specified, when combined with an end door. whereby the draft may be controlled without the aid and independent of the front doors.

And I also claim the boiler having a removable cover and two inclined lines which are separate at the lower end and united into one at top to connect with the chimney, substantially as described, in arr: ngelnent with the exit flue space to which the boiler is fitted, and into which the gaseous products of combustion are discharged from the series of direct and return fines, substantially as, and for the purpose specified.
