A further object is to provide a cover including fastening mean that is free from penetrating hooks, pins or the like, so as to eliminate injury to the user when attaching or removing the cover.

Another object is to provide a cover that is simple in construction, inexpensive to manufacture, and extremely eiilcient in use and service.

This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fullyjescribed, illustrated in the accompanying drawing and specifically pointed out in the appended -claim.

In describing the invention in detail, reference will be had to theaccompanying drawing wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views. and in which:

Referring to the drawing in A indicates a pressing machine buck to which my cover is attached, but it is to be understood that the cover can be used on ironing boards or the like.

In any event, the cover is made from any suitable fabric material into a single elongated sheet like body I that tapers from one end to the other and the ends are rounded as best shown in Figure 1. The marginal edge portion of the body is folded and sewed or otherwise secured to provide a marginal hem 2 having threaded there'through a draw cord 3 of a length to provide free end portions 4 extending through reinforced openings or eyelets 5 disposed in the hem at the small end of the body.

Disposed in the side portions of the hem are reinforced openings or eyelets 6 and I, there being a pair of the latter eyelets in each side portion, in the form shown. The draw cord 3 extendsthrough the eyelets 6 and l to provide loops 8 and 8 and the eyelets 6 are disposed diametrically opposite the eyelets I so that the loops will be detail, the letter arranged, accordingly, as best shown in Figure 2. Each loop 8 is twisted once upon itself, for the their free ends normally contact the body portion l3 and terminate in outwardly flared free ends,

to facilitate the application of the loops to the fastener members. as will be apparent upon ,in-

spection of Figure 3. V From the above description and the disclosure in the drawing, it is believed that the manner of attaching my cover to the buck will be obvious, but it might be mentioned that the cover is laid lengthwise upon the buck and the fastener mem-'- bers which are preferably permanently connected to the loops 8, are hooked onto the loops 9 for connecting the loops' together on the underside of the buck, as bestshown in Figure 3. The free end portions '4 ol the cord are then pulled for drawing the cord taut and thence they are tied into a bow knot, as shown in Figure 2. It will be further obvious that when the cord is taut and tied, the; cover is free from wrinkles and casual removal or displacement thereof with respect to the buck is practically impossible.

It is to be understood that changes may be made in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claim.

What I claim is:

A pressing machine buck cover comprising an elongated sheet like fabric body having rounded ends and provided with a marginal hem having eyelets in its sides and one end thereof, a draw cord threaded through the hem and having free.

end portions extending through the end eyelets to be tied together, said cord extending through the side eyelets to provide loops, each loop of one side of the cord having portions thereof twisted about each other, collars mounted on the twisted portions for permanently retaining the latter loops in the cord and through the eyelets therefor, and

resilient strip-like fastener members having hooks on the ends thereof to receive opposed loops for disposal of the fastener members in bridging relation between the loops to cooperate with the cord to attach the cover in use.
