IMPROVEMENT IN DUMPlNG-WAGONS.

To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ROBERT H. SHERAR, of Stanton, in the county of Miami and State of Kansas, have invented certain new and use ful Improvements in Dumping-Wagons; and
g I do hereby declare that the following is a full,
clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a perspective view. Fig. 2 is a similar view, showing the box tilted. Fig. 3 is a bottom plan of the box and frame. Fig. 4 is a longitudinal sectional view, and Fig. 5 is a cross-section.
Corresponding parts in the several figures are denoted by like letters of reference.
This invention relates to tilting boxes for dumping-wagons; and it consists in certain improvements in the construction of the same, which will be hereinafter fully described, and particularly pointed out in the claim.

Upon the under side of the bottom of box 0 is pivoted alever, D, the ends of which engage notches E E in the cross-pieces F F of frame A, thereby holding the box 0 inahorizontal position. Near its central point or fulcrum the lever D is provided with a catch, G, adapted to engage a stud, H, upon the lid or side piece I of box U, which is hinged to to be tilted.

Having thus described m y invention, I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States- The combination, with theframe A, having notches E E, of the tilting box 0, having hinged cover I, provided with stud H, the lever D, having catch G, and the lever J and connecting-rod K, all arranged and operating substantially as and for the shown and specified.
