Of course, the tube 26 may be expeditiously removed from the holder 24 for replacement when the lipstick therein has been exhausted. Also, the rouge container 22 may be conveniently removed from the recess or well 2| when desired.
It is believed that the many advantages of a vanity box constructed in accordance with the present invention will be readily understood and although a preferred embodiment of the device is as illustrated and described, it is to be understood that changes in the details of construction and in. the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to which will fall Within the scope of the inventionas claimed.
What is claimed is:
1. A vanity box comprising a case open at its front, a mirror mounted in the front portion, of the case, a removable top insertable in the upper portion of the case, a plate depending from the rear portion of the top, and an electric lamp mounted on said plate, the mirror having a window therein for the passage of light from the electric lamp and the removable top having an opening therein adjacent the lamp for the passage of light therefrom.
2. A vanity box comprising a case open at its front, a hingedly mounted closure for the front of the case, a horizontal partition in said case prdviding upper and lower compartments, a mirror in the front portion of the upper compartment, a removable top for the case insertable in the upper compartment, a plate depending from the rear portion of said top, a battery mounted on said plate, an electric lamp mounted on the plate and electrically connected with said battery, the mirror having a window therein for the passage of light from the lamp, and a container fixed on the closure and engageable in the lower compartment when said closure is in closed position.
3. A vanity box comprising a case, a closure hingedly mounted on said case, a container fixed on the inner side of said closure and engageable in the case when the closure is in closed position, said container comprising a cover including a well, and a container removably mounted in said well.
4. A vanity box comprising a case, a closure hingedly mounted on said case, a. substantially V-shaped resilient holder mounted on said closure, a clip on said holder, and a tube for the reception of a lipstick removably and adjustably mounted in, the clip, said tube being engageable with the case for tensioning the resilient holder when the closure is in closed position, said resilient holder constituting means for swinging the closure to open position.
