(01. 209-84) This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in vegetable graders and more particularly to a novel belt for grading machines. Referring to the drawings wherein like numerals designate like parts, it can be seen that numeral 5 denotes the usual belt-carrying Wheel on the shaft 6 and over which the belt generally referred to by numeral 1 is trained. This belt is made up of'a multiplicity of links and one of which is clearly shown in Figure 3. . Having thus described the invention what is claimed as new is:.
A belt of the class described comprising a plurality of pivotally connected links, each link being formed from a substantially rectangular metallic plate of uniform width throughout and including rolled end portions providing transverse barrels for the reception of connecting pins, the length of the barrels corresponding to the width of the plate, the longitudinalmarginal portions of the plate between the barrels being bent at substantially right angles on inwardly and oppositely curved lines and providing arcuate flanges.
