Be it known that I, JEREMIAH HOWARD, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new a'nduseful Improvement in Mills for OrushingSuganCane and other Substances; and I do hereby declare that theifol lowing isafull, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had tothe annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in which 1 Figure/1 is an end view. of a mill with my invention applied wit, a portion of the latter being bisected, as indicated by the line mm, Fig. 3. Having thus described my invention, what I'elaim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isv The employment or use of a pump, G, waterreservoir F, and valve J, in connection with necessary pipes H I and cylinders E, provided with pistons D, acting on the bearing of the roller or rollers, the whole being irrenged as shown, or in any equivalent way, so as to operate as and for the, purpose set forth.
