The present invention relates to childrens toys and particularly relates to a doll :house assembly.

One of the primary objects of the present invention is to provide a portable doll house assembly which is compact in its nature so that the assembly may be readily transported and will take up a minimum amount of room when not in use.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a simplified doll house assembly made up of a plurality of complementary members representing single rooms or single houses which may be arranged in a plurality of different ways to efiect desired designs.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a doll house assembly which is economical to manufacture and which is of a rugged character so that it can withstand normally hard usage.

A further object of the invention is to provide a toy house assembly which may be of such a size that it may be used as a doll house, or may be of a larger size sothat it may be used as a play house to accommodate small children.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following specification, the drawing relating thereto, and from the claims hereinafter set forth. I

Referring to the drawing for a more detailed description of the invention, a plurality of boxlike members l0, l2, l4, and iii are illustrated. Each of these 10 members may represent a room so that'the members may be arranged, for example, as shown in Figure 1 to provide a house of a plurality of communicating rooms arranged as desired. The structure offers itself for a variety of diiferent uses; for example, the members may be arranged to represent single houses.

The elements forming the assembly are preferably made of wood but it is evident that other materials such as cardboard could be used. Also, decorative designs may be placed on the elements to effect attractive and realistic appearance.

Formal changes may be made in the specific embodiment of the invention described without departing from the spirit and substance of the invention, the scope of which is commensurate with the appended claims.

What is claimed is:

1. A doll house assembly comprising a plurality of complementary shaped members adapted to be received in nested relationship to each other, said members having openings formed thereinresembling doors and windows.

2. A doll house assembly comprising a plurality of complementary box-like members open at their tops adapted to be received in nested relationship to each other, said members having complementary openings formed therein resembling doors or windows.

3. A doll house assembly comprising a plurality of complementary box-like members open at their tops and bottoms adapted to be received in nested relationship to each other, said members having complementary openings therethrough forming doors and windows.

4. A portable doll house assembly comprising a base, a plurality of complementary box-shaped members in nested relationship to each other and supported on said base, a holding member secured to said base and extending upwardly above the tops of said members.

5. A portable doll house assembly comprising a base, a plurality of complementary box-shaped members in nested relationship to each other supported on said base, said members being open at their tops and bottoms, a holding member secured to said base and extending upwardly through said members above the tops thereof.

6. A portable doll house assembly comprising a base, a plurality of complementary box-shaped members in nested relationship to each other supported on said base, said members being open through their bottoms and tops, a holding member secured to said base and extending upwardly through said members above the tops thereof, and a closure member disposed over the tops of said members and having an opening therein through which said holding member extends.
