2 Claims.
The present invention relates to a display device designed to be attached toany suitable supporting structure and carrying a plurality of movable elements, each of which may contain advertising medium, and the entire assembly being designed to attract attention to itself and to adjacent material or commodity on display.
More specifically the invention includes a supporting element, shaped at one end for attachment to a frame, pipe or analogous structure and provided at spaced intervals with vertical pins for supporting rotary display elements, and a transverse rod removably fixed to the supporting rod, the latter terminating in vertical display supporting pins.
Another feature resides in having the supporting element separable from the transverse element, whereby different types of supporting elements may be utilized and the transverse element may be kept of a standard design.

Figure 3 shows in elevation the connecting element used in Figure 1,
Figure 4 shows a connecting element designed for attaching the structure to a pipe or the like,
Figure 5 is a top plan view of Fig. 4, and
Figure 6 is a modified type of supporting extremity for use in connection with window frames and the like.
Reference character I shows the supporting element formed of wire or a metal bar of small diameter, flattened horizontally at an intermediate point 2 in its length and terminating in vertical extension 3. A transverse wire or bar 8 is flattened at an intermediate point 9 to overlie the flattened portion 2 of the supporting wire l. The flattened portions 2 and 9 are formed with registering perforations through which a screw I 0 extends for removably securing these parts together. A nut I0 is shown for fastening the screw in position. The extremities of the transverse wire or bar 8 are bent upwardly to provide vertical supporting pins 4 and 5 for the rotatable spiral display elements 6 and.'!. A supporting pin l l is shown fixed to the supporting rod arm I for carrying the spinning wheel l2. A somewhat similar spinning display device 12 is supported on the upper extremity of the vertical element 3, which constitutes the outer end portion of the Wire l.

ment such as a pipe. To provide for securing the assembly to such elements one end of the supporting wire or rod l is shown in Figure 1 as bent at l3 to provide a clover leaf structure l4 constituting rings or loops for the reception of such fastening elements as screws or bolts. In Figures 1 and 2 such a fastening element is shown attached to the wall A by means of screws l 5. In Figures 4 and 5 the end of the supporting rod or wire I to be attached to a supporting pipe B is illustrated as terminating in a curved clamp section I6. A companion clamp section ll cooperates vvith the section l6 and these clamp sections are secured together by the transverse bolt I8, which extends through looped aligned extremities of the clamp parts.
In Figure 6 the supporting arm i is illustrated as terminating in a hanger element for engaging over a window sill or horizontal structural bar of any type. In this form of support the rod or wire I is bent at right angles at 26 and forwardly at 20' then downwardly at 2| for a short distance and transversely of the rod l at 22. The transverse portion 22 0 extends an equal distance on each side of the rod arm l and is then bent upwardly at 23, rearwardly at 24 and inwardly at 25, to provide companion parts to portions 20, 20 and 2!. The extremity of the wire is wrapped around the rod arm, at 26 adjacent the original bend forming the right angle extension 20.
From the foregoing it will be apparent that the transverse bar 8 with the supporting pins 4 and 5 and the rotary display elements 6 and i can be of substantially standard construction and are capable of attachment to the supporting element 1, and the latter may be selected according to the type of fastening means desired. That is to say the transverse element 8 and its companion parts may be secured to supporting arms I where the latter has securing means of any of the three types illustrated. It is contemplated that display or advertising material may be placed on the surface of the rotating elements and these elements may be interchanged or redesigned provided they are of the general type illustrated, wherein radiating heat will effect their rotation. In this connection it will be seen that by using the type of assembly adjacent a window, near which is positioned a radiator, the heat from the radiator will cause the parts 6, l, I 2 and 12 to rotate. In Figures 4 and 5 the element B may be a stove pipe and the supporting arm will position the display elements over the stove body whereby the heat will cause the same to rotate.
In Figure 6 the structure is adapted to overlie any bar or rod adjacent a heated element to provide for the operation of the mechanism.
Changes in detail and construction and arrangements of parts may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
What we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:-
1. In a display device, a supporting arm provided at one extremity with means for securing same to a support and at the other extremity with a vertical pin, said supporting arm having a flattened intermediate portion formed with an opening, a transverse bar formed with a flattened intermediate portion having an opening registering with the opening formed in the flattened portion of the supporting arm, fastening means extending through the openings and securing the arm and the transverse bar together and vertical pins carried by said bar and said transverse arm for supporting a plurality of rotatable elements.
2. In a display device, a supporting arm provided at one extremity with means for securing same to a support and at the other extremity with a vertical pin, said supporting arm being formed with a flattened intermediate portion, a transverse member having display elements supported at its extremities and an intermediate enlarged portion for engaging the flattened portion of the supporting arm, and fastening means extending through the engaging portions of the arm and transverse member and removably securing same together.
