In Figs. and 6 another form of the invention has been disclosed. According to this form, the anti-burn device is applied to the protector of a spiral type wave. The dot and dash lines 20 in Fig. 5, indicate a. spiral wave former. At the base of this former there is a circular protector 2!. This circular protector is formed with an opening 22 through which the drip may pass. A transverse opening 23 is formed in the side of the protector 2i and communicates with the opening 22. The tip member I5 is inserted through the opening 23 so that the trough portion [8 and the perforations is are located beneath the opening 22.
While I have illustrated and described the preferred embodiments of my invention, it is to be understood that I do not limit myself to the precise constructions herein disclosed and the right is reserved to all changes and modifications coming within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to. secure by United States Letters Patent is:-
1. An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube member having a tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube member having a tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube, Said protector including a pair of adjacent members, and said opening being in the form of a groove between said adjacent members.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip Waving solution, a tube member having a tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube, said tube having a trough along its top face and said perforations being arranged in the base of said trough.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube member having a tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube, comprising a suction fan and a plurality of tubes connected therewith.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair'waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely todrip waving solution, a tube within said opening and having a trough portion to receive said drip, and apertures in the base of said trough, and a suction device connected with said tube.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of thehair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube within said opening and having a trough portion to receive said drip, and apertures in the base of said trough, and a suetion device connected with said tube, the base of said trough being formed with a wavy drain portion, and said apertures being in the low areas of said wavy formation.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving so1ution,a tube within said opening and having a trough portion to receive said drip, and apertures in the base of said trough, and a suction device connected with said tube, the base of said trough being formed with a wavy drain portion, and said apertures being in the low areas of said wavy formation, the top wall of said drip portion being of wavy construction.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having anppemng beneath those portions likely to drip wavingsolution, a tube within said opening and having a trough portion to receive said drip, and apertures in the base of Said trough, and a suction device connected with said tube, the base of said trough being formed with a wavy drain portion, and said apertures being in the low areas of said wavy formation, the top wall of said drip portion being of Wavy construction, and the contacting wall of the tube being also of wavy construction feeding into said first mentioned wavy formation.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube Within said opening and having a trough portion to receive said drip, and apertures in the base of said trough, and a suction device connected with said tube, the base of said trough being formed with a wavy drain portion, and said apertures being in the low areas of said wavy formation, the top wall of said drip portion being of wavy construction, and the contacting wall of the tube being also of wavy construction feeding into said first mentioned wavy formation, and the low portions of the wavy formation of the top wall of the opening for the drip being aligned with the low portions in the trough.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube member having a tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube, said opening in the protector extending from one side and connecting with a branch opening extending in from the top.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip waving solution, a tube member having a tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube, said opening in the protector extending from one side and conmeeting with a branch opening extending in from the top, said tube being extendable into said side opening.

An anti-burn device for waving solutions for permanent hair waving, comprising a. protector for the roots of the hair and having an opening beneath those portions likely to drip wavinfl solution, a tube member having a. tip portion extending into said opening and having perforations to receive said drip, and a suction device connected with said tube, said opening in the protector extending from one side and connecting with a branch opening extending in from the top, said tip member being extendable into said side opening andihaving a trough portion in the top into which the drip may enter.
