Abstract
An exercise assistance device, in order to be able to easily increase exercise intensity, inhibit an injury by applying a load to a user only when the user works out, and effectively improve muscular power of various parts, includes a main body configured to be worn on the body of a user, an elastic band formed in a band shape having elasticity and having a first end configured to be connected to the main body and a second end configured to be connected to a fixed supporting structure, in which the elastic band applies a predetermined load to a user wearing the main body when the user works out at a predetermined distance from the second end of the elastic band fixed to the supporting structure.
Description
- The present disclosure relates to an exercise assistance device, particularly an exercise assistance device that can effectively improve muscular power by easily increasing exercise intensity.
- In generally, people perform body weight training not using devices or equipment, such as walking, running, push-ups, and pull-ups, or work out using various kinds of exercise devices or equipment to keep their health, and they improve muscular power through these exercises.
- People increase exercise intensity by using barbell plates of different weights or adjusting the number of plates to lift in the case of exercises using exercise devices or equipment, and increase exercise intensity by increasing the repetitions in the case of exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, and stretching. However, there is limitation in improvement of muscular power by only increasing the repetitions in the case of exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, and stretching, so people increase the exercise intensity by wearing sandbags having predetermined weight on their wrists or ankles.
- However, the load of sandbags is applied to a user not only when the user is working out, but keeps being applied to the user immediately before and after the user works out unless the user takes them off, so muscles are over-exercised and injuries such as muscle damage may be caused. Further, the parts on which sandbag can be worn are limited, so it is difficult to achieve the effect of improving muscular power of various parts.
- The present disclosure has been made in an effort to solve the problems described above and an objective of the present disclosure is to provide an exercise assistance device that can easily increase exercise intensity, that does not cause an injury by applying a load to a user only when the user works out, and can effectively improve muscular power of various parts.
- An exercise assistance device of the present disclosure for achieving the objectives includes: a main body configured to be worn on the body of a user; and an elastic band formed in a band shape having elasticity and having a first end configured to be connected to the main body and a second end configured to be connected to a fixed supporting structure.
- Further, at least one elastic band may be connected to at least one of a front, a rear, and sides of the main body.
- Further, the elastic band may have a first fastener and a second fastener at the first end and the second end, respectively, the main body may have a first connection ring, to which the first fastener is hooked, on at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides, and the exercise assistance device may further include a fixing member including a fixing band that is formed in a band shape and coupled to surround a portion of the supporting structure, and a second connection ring that is disposed on the fixing band and to which the second fastener is hooked.
- Further, the main body may include a rail disposed on at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides, and a movable member that can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the rail, that is fixed at a position on the rail, and to which the first end of the elastic band is connected.
- Further, the elastic band may have a third fastener at the first end, the rail may include a pair of rail bars protruding from the main body in a longitudinal direction or a width direction of the main body and facing each other with a predetermined gap therebetween, and the movable member may be formed in a bar shape, may be disposed perpendicularly to the rail bars between the pair of rail bars, may have a third connection ring to which the third fastener is hooked, and may be inserted from the outside of the rail bars and fixed at a position on the rail by fixing bolts that are fastened to both ends.
- According to the present disclosure, since an elastic band applies a predetermined load to a user wearing a main body when the user works out at a predetermined distance from a second end of the elastic band fixed to a supporting structure, it is possible to easily increase exercise intensity without an injury by applying a load to a user only when the user works out.
- Further, since it is possible to connect elastic bands at various positions on the main body, a user can select parts to which he/she wants to apply a load, and it is also possible to connect elastic bands at various positions on a supporting structure, it is possible to adjust the intensity of a load that is applied to a user, whereby it is possible to effectively improve muscular power.

FIG. 9 is an exploded perspective view showing a rail and a movable bar that are applied to an exercise assistance device of the present disclosure. - The present disclosure proposes an exercise assistance device, in order to be able to easily increase exercise intensity, prevent an injury by applying a load to a user only when the user works out, and effectively improve muscular power of various parts, includes a main body configured to be worn on the body of a user, an elastic band formed in a band shape having elasticity and having a first end configured to be connected to the main body and a second end configured to be connected to a fixed supporting structure, in which the elastic band applies a predetermined load to a user wearing the main body when the user works out at a predetermined distance from the second end of the elastic band fixed to the supporting structure.
- The right range of the present disclosure is not limited to the following embodiments and the present disclosure may be changed in various ways by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the present disclosure.
- Hereafter, an exercise assistance device of the present disclosure is described in detail with reference to
FIGS. 1 to 9 . - An exercise assistance device A of the present disclosure, as shown in
FIG. 1 , fundamentally includes amain body 100 and anelastic band 200. - The
main body 100, which is supposed to be worn on the upper body of a user, may be a top, a bottom, or a piece of clothes of a top and a bottom. However, it is assumed in the following description that themain body 100 is a top, and various types of tops shown in the figures are sleeveless tops, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. When the body A is a top that is supposed to be worn on the upper body of a use, as shown inFIGS. 1 to 3 , the body A includes a front that covers the chest and stomach of a user, a rear that covers the back of a user, and sides that connects the front and the rear and surround the sides of a user. - The
elastic band 200 is formed in a band shape having elasticity and a predetermined length, and a shown inFIGS. 4 to 6 , a first end there of is connected to themain body 100 and a second end is connected to a supporting structure B. The supporting structure B may keep fixed not to move when a user moves so that elasticity is applied by theelastic band 200. For example, the supporting structure B may be not only a pull-up bar or various types of exercise equipment for weight training, but a person. - When a user wearing the
main body 100 of the present disclosure works out a predetermined distance from the second end of theelastic band 200 fixed to a supporting structure B, theelastic band 200 applies a predetermined load to the user in accordance with movement of the user. Since exercise intensity can be easily increased and a load is applied to a user only during exercise, as described above, there is no possibility of an injury. - For example, as shown in
FIG. 4 , in order to do a pull-up using a supporting structure B having a pull-up bar at a predetermined height so that a user can do a pull-up, a user puts on themain body 100, connects first ends ofelastic bands 200 to themain body 100, and connects the second ends of theelastic bands 200 to the lower portion of the supporting structure B. In this state, when the user holds the pull-up bar and lifts his/her body for a pull-up, theelastic bands 200 extend and simultaneously apply elasticity downward, thereby applying a predetermined load to the user. Further, when the user moves down his/her body, theelastic bands 200 contract and elasticity is removed. - As another example, as shown in
FIG. 5 , in order to do a push-up, a user puts on themain body 100, connects the first end of anelastic band 200 to the front of themain body 100, and connects the second end of theelastic band 200 to a portion of the supporting structure B that is lower than the position of themain body 100. In this state, when the user pushes up his/her body, theelastic band 200 extends and simultaneously applies elasticity downward, thereby applying a predetermined load to the user. Further, when the user moves down his/her body, theelastic band 200 contracts and elasticity is removed. - As another example, as shown in
FIG. 6 , in order to do an exercise such as twisting or a golf swing, a user puts on themain body 100, connects the first end of anelastic band 200 to a side of themain body 100, and connects the second end to a portion of the supporting structure B positioned ahead of themain body 100. In this case, the user prepares twoelastic bands 200 and connects the first ends of theelastic bands 200 to both sides of themain body 100, respectively. In this state, when the user twists his/her waist in a standup position with the front facing the supporting structure B, oneelastic band 200 of the twoelastic bands 200 extends and simultaneously applies elasticity, thereby applying a predetermined load to the user. - As described with reference to these examples, at least one
elastic band 200 can be connected to at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides of themain body 100. As described, sinceelastic bands 200 can be connected to various positions on themain body 100, a user can select parts to which a load is applied and can adjust the number of elastic bands in accordance with the kinds of exercises and desired exercise intensity. - Meanwhile, connection between the
main body 100 and theelastic band 200 and connection between themain body 100 and the supporting structure B may be implemented in various ways. - For example, as shown in
FIGS. 1 and 4 , theelastic band 200 may have afirst fastener 210 and asecond fastener 220 at the first end and the second end, respectively. Thefirst fastener 210 and thesecond fastener 220 may be formed in hook shapes, but may be configured such that they have a closed loop shape and can be opened only when a user intentionally applies a force or takes an action, as shown inFIG. 1 , not to be easily separated after connected to themain body 100 and the supporting structure B. - The
main body 100, as shown inFIGS. 2 and 3 , may have afirst connection ring 110, to which thefirst fastener 210 is hooked, on at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides. Thefirst connection ring 110 may be formed in a ring shape and may be rotatably disposed on themain body 100. - The exercise assistance device A of the present disclosure, as shown in
FIG. 4 , may further include afixing member 300 for connecting the second end of theelastic band 200 to the supporting structure B. Thefixing member 300 may include afixing band 310 that is formed in a band shape and coupled to surround a portion of the supporting structure B, and asecond connection ring 320 that is disposed on thefixing band 310 and to which thesecond fastener 220 is hooked. Thefixing band 310 has a detachable attachment fastener such as a Velcro tape or a snap at both ends, whereby thefixing band 310 can be fixed to a portion of the supporting structure B while surrounding the portion of the supporting structure. Further, thesecond connection ring 320, similar to thefirst connection ring 110, may be formed in a ring shape and may be rotatably disposed on thefixing band 310. Thefixing member 200 enables a user to connect theelastic band 200 to various positions on the supporting structure lb and the intensity of a load that is applied to a user can be adjusted in accordance with the fixed positions on the supporting structure B, whereby it is possible to effectively improve muscular power. - Meanwhile, according to the present disclosure, not only it is possible to change not only the position at which the
elastic band 200 is connected to themain body 100 by providing a plurality offirst connection rings 110 at various positions on themain body 100, but themain body 100 may be configured such that the positions of the components that are connected with theelastic band 200 can be changed. - For example, as shown in
FIGS. 7 and 8 , themain body 100 may include arail 120 disposed on at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides, and amovable member 130 that can be moved in the longitudinal direction of therail 120, that is fixed at a position on therail 120, and to which the first end of theelastic band 200 is connected. Accordingly, a user can move themovable member 130 to a position corresponding to the part to which he/she wants to apply a load, fix themovable member 130 on therail 120, connect the first end of theelastic band 200 to themovable member 130, and then work out. - In detail, the
elastic band 200 may have athird fastener 230 at the first end and thethird fastener 230 is the same as thefirst fastener 210. That is, thethird fastener 230 may be formed in a hook shape, but may be configured such that it has a closed loop shape and can be opened only when a user intentionally applies a force or takes an action not to be easily separated after connected to themovable member 130. - As shown in
FIGS. 7 to 9 , therail 120 may include a pair of rail bars 121. The rail bars 121 may have a bar shape or a plate shape having a predetermined length and a small width and protruding from themain body 100 in the longitudinal direction of the width direction of themain body 100. The rail bars 121 are provided in a pair to face each other with a predetermined gap therebetween. Themovable member 130 is formed in a bar shape and disposed perpendicularly to the rail bars 121 between the pair of rail bars 121, and has athird connection ring 131 to which thethird fastener 230 is hooked. Thethird connection ring 131 may be formed in a ring shape extending from themovable member 130 and may be rotatably disposed on themovable member 130. Themovable member 130 is inserted from the outside of the rail bars 121 and fixed at a position on therail 120 by fixingbolts 132 that are fastened to both ends. - In more detail, a plurality of fixing
holes 121 a is formed through the rail bars 121 in the longitudinal direction of the rail bars 121 and fixing grooves (not shown) spirally formed inward at both ends of themovable member 120. Accordingly, a user can move themovable member 130 to the position to which he/she wants to apply a load, insert the fixingbolts 131 into the fixingholes 121 a formed through the rail bars 121 at the corresponding position, and then tighten the fixingbolts 132 into the fixing grooves. - Meanwhile, the
main body 100, in the present disclosure, may have aprotection pad 140, as shown inFIGS. 7 and 8 , to protect muscles when an excessive load is applied to a user when he/she works out, and to prevent damage to muscles even if a load is periodically applied. Theprotection pad 140 may be made of a shock-absorbing material such as sponge and memory foam, may be provided to correspond to the shoulders, etc. of a user, and may be disposed inside themain body 100. -

Claims (5)
1. An exercise assistance device comprising:
a main body (100) configured to be worn on the body of a user; and
an elastic band (200) formed in a band shape having elasticity and having a first end configured to be connected to the main body (100) and a second end configured to be connected to a fixed supporting structure (B),
wherein the elastic band (200) applies a predetermined load to a user wearing the main body (100) when the user works out at a predetermined distance from the second end of the elastic band (200) fixed to the supporting structure (B).
2. The exercise assistance device of claim 1 , wherein at least one elastic band (200) is connected to at least one of a front, a rear, and sides of the main body (100).
3. The exercise assistance device of claim 1 , wherein the elastic band (200) has a first fastener (210) and a second fastener (220) at the first end and the second end, respectively,
the main body (100) has a first connection ring (110), to which the first fastener (210) is hooked, on at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides, and
the exercise assistance device further comprises a fixing member (300) including a fixing band (310) that is formed in a band shape and coupled to surround a portion of the supporting structure (B), and a second connection ring (320) that is disposed on the fixing band (310) and to which the second fastener (220) is hooked.
4. The exercise assistance device of claim 1 , wherein the main body (100) includes a rail (120) disposed on at least one of the front, the rear, and the sides, and a movable member (130) that can be moved in a longitudinal direction of the rail (120), that is fixed at a position on the rail (120), and to which the first end of the elastic band (200) is connected.
5. The exercise assistance device of claim 4 , wherein the elastic band (200) has a third fastener (230) at the first end,
the rail (120) includes a pair of rail bars (121) protruding from the main body (100) in a longitudinal direction or a width direction of the main body (100) and facing each other with a predetermined gap therebetween, and
the movable member (130) is formed in a bar shape, is disposed perpendicularly to the rail bars (121) between the pair of rail bars (121), has a third connection ring (131) to which the third fastener (230) is hooked, and is inserted from outside of the rail bars (121) and fixed at a position on the rail (120) by fixing bolts (132) that are respectively fastened to each end of the moveable member.
