Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The invention relates to a new type of front sight structure which is suitable for use in firearms and non-firearms such as bows, crossbows etc.
  • The invention is particularly related to a front sight structure which facilitates aiming and the ratio of hitting the target.
  • STATE OF THE ART
  • Today, the firearms widely used in the weapon industry, are described as guns projecting by means of the propellant power provided from the gunpowder gas. The firearms comprise many weapons such as large cannons, rifles, shotguns, guns with different sizes etc. The bullets of the cannons which are large-scaled, heavy firearms explode as soon as they reach the target, the bullets of the small guns such as rifles; guns etc. perforate the target with the impact effect.
  • Small firearms consist of barrel, trigger and bolt set. The barrel is made of a pipe from steel and it consists of two sections namely end section called gun muzzle and barrel extension. At the beginning of the barrel extension, there is a section called chamber wherein the bullet is located. The barrel extension is configured such that it can be opened and closed in order to insert the bullet into the chamber. The bullets used in the firearm basically consist of three sections, namely cartridge bullet, propellant charge and bullet casing. The propellant charge is included within the bullet casing. The propellant charge burns as soon as the gun is fired and enables the cartridge bullet to be fired towards the target by creating a pressure. When the firearm is triggered, the firing of the gunpowder is carried out by means of an igniter positioned at the rear end of the bullet casing. The trigger is the structure which drives the igniter by means of being pulled back. The bolt set is the movable part of the weapon during firing and consists of components such as rear sight, front sight, safety latch etc. The rear sight and the front sight are the elements used in ballistic weapons such as gun and rifle in order to increase the hit ratio. The rear sight is a configured section as “v or “or “circle” or “ghost rear sight” or “trapezoidal sight” of “buck-horn rear sight”. The front sight is the part which is close to the muzzle of the gun and is positioned in a perpendicular manner.
  • When firing will be carried out with a firearm, in order to allow the bullet to reach the target, the shooter must align his/her open eye, rear sight, front sight and target. In the currently used front sights, the right, left or lower portion of the front sight is closed. Thus, the target in the field of vision may be possibly closed by means of the front sight. This situation decreases the rate of hit. Moreover, in hitting the targets located at 200 meters or more, there may be problems such as closing the target by the front sight and even disappearing of the target behind the front sight.
  • As a result due to the abovementioned disadvantages and the insufficiency of the current solutions regarding the subject matter, a development is required to be made in the relevant technical field.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention is related to a front sight structure developed to be used in all firearms, non-firearms and guns operate with air thrust power which fulfills the abovementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.
  • The main purpose of the invention is to provide a front sight structure which increases the ratio of hitting the target.
  • A purpose of the invention is to provide a front sight structure in which the target is not closed partially or fully and provides an explicit target vision angle.
  • Another purpose of the invention is to provide a front sight structure which reduces the aiming duration and enables a faster shooting.
  • Another purpose of the invention is to provide a front sight structure which reduces individual faults during shooting.
  • A similar purpose of the invention is to provide a front sight structure which facilitates aiming and allows for shooting without distortion.
  • A similar purpose of the invention is to provide a front sight structure to be used in any kind of small-sized firearms.
  • A similar purpose of the invention is to provide an easy shooting opportunity such as throwing stone with sling.
  • A similar purpose of the invention is to reduce the training period in shooting and to allow the solider, police or security personnel etc. to become a professional shooter within a short period of time.
  • The invention is to provide a front sight structure which enables pointing the gun to the target and prevents eye watering of the shooter during tracking.
  • In order to realize the abovementioned aims, the invention is related to a front sight structure which has a body adapted on the bolt of a firearm, a target bowl with full circle form that is configured in the continuation of said body and an indicator section provided at the center of said target bowl. Therefore said front sight comprises aligning arms which connect said indicator section to the target bowl and contours configured such that they extend to the center of the target bowl from said aligning arms.
  • In order to fulfill the aims of the invention, said front sight is configured in ‘w’ form.
  • The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF FIGURES
  • FIG. 1 , is a general view of the inventive front sight.
  • FIG. 2 , is a general view of the alternative embodiment of the inventive front sight.
  • The figures are not required to be scaled and the details which are not necessary for understanding the present invention may be neglected. Moreover, the elements that are at least substantially identical or have at least substantially identical functions are shown by the same number.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • In this detailed description, the inventive front sight (10) structure is described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.
  • The invention relates to a front sight (10) structure operating in small-sized firearms such as guns with air propulsion power and developed for facilitating the hit rate of shooting in non-firearms such as bows, crossbows and its general view is presented in FIG. 1 . The front sight (10) mainly consists of a body (11) which enables connection of the front sight (10) on the bolt, a target bowl (12) which is configured as a full circle in the continuation of said body (11) and an indicator section (13) which is aligned in the center of said target bowl (12), enables the target to be centered according to the front sight (10). Said indicator section (13) has reverse “v” shape and comprises two aligning arms (14) which is configured such that they extend towards the ends of the target bowl (12) in the continuation of its two ends. The connection of said aligning arms (14) and the indicator section (13) to the target bowl (12) is provided. Moreover, a counter (15) is configured one for each that extend towards the center of the target bowl (12) at the ends where the aligning arms (14) and target bowl (13) is engaged.
  • In an alternative embodiment of the invention, it is possible to configure the target bowl (12) in a semi-circular form as can be seen in FIG. 2 . In this case, extra contours (15) can be added to front sight (10) structure which extends toward the center of the target bowl (12) in order to increase the target centering.
  • The target hitting percentage can be increased by providing the superposing of the aligning arms (14) with the rear sight form especially in the use of “v” rear sights although it is possible to superpose the front sight (10) to the “u” and peep sight. Moreover, the aligning arms (14) both keeps the position of the indicator section (13) within the target bowl (12) in a stable manner and also enables to increase the mechanical resistance of the same against any force that have effect on the front sight (10). Said contours (15) provide the determination of rollover-inclination ratios and provides correction possibility.
  • In the inventive front sight (10) structure, when the target is aimed through the rear sight and front sight (10), an easier target tracking can be made since the indicator section (13) does not contain a connection which hides the bottom potion of the target. The inventive front sight (10) can be used with the rear sights namely trapezoidal sight, “v” rear sight, “u” rear sight and peep sight in a compatible manner. Aiming at the target is realized within a shorter period of time and serial shootings are possible to realize with the use of front sight (10). Moreover, the use of front sight (10) in trainings provides the shooters to improve themselves quickly and minimizes individual faults.
