Abstract
A face mask assembly includes a mask pad configured to cover at least a portion of a face of a wearer and allows a passage of air therethrough to the wearer. In addition, the face mask assembly includes a frame connected to an elastic member configured to secure the mask pad to the face of the wearer.
Description
- In various settings, for example industrial settings (e.g., factory floors), medical settings (e.g., clinics and hospitals) and construction settings, persons generally are required to use safety protection such as eyeglasses. With the spread of contagious diseases such as COVID 19, it is further generally required to protect people from coming into contact with diseases spreading microbes, viruses, bacteria and other contaminants. In addition, masks can provide a physical barrier for fluids and particulate materials such as smoke and dust. However, wearing of face masks in conjunction with safety glasses or optical glasses can be cumbersome and further has the propensity to fog the glasses due to expiration of air from the user.
- A face mask assembly includes a mask pad configured to cover at least a portion of a face of a wearer and a frame supported by ears and a nose of the wearer. An elastic member is connected with the frame and positioned to hold the mask pad to the face of the wearer.
