  • DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF THE INVENTION
  • All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
  • The present invention is a lower body shaper. The present invention contours the body into a desire hourglass shape. The present invention encourages sweating at specific areas of the body. Furthermore, the present invention slightly compresses specific areas of the body in order to target specific muscles and encourage the specific muscles to work harder during exercise. In order to create an hourglass shape, the present invention comprises a waistband 1, a left hip strap 7, a right hip strap 8, a left thigh band 11, and a right thigh band 16, seen in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the waistband 1, the left hip strap 7, the right hip strap 8, the left thigh band 11, and the right thigh band 16 are made of neoprene material. The waistband 1 wraps around the abdomen of a user. The waistband 1 comprises a first band end 2 and a second band end 3 in order for the waistband 1 to accommodate various sized waists. The first band end 2 rests on the abdomen of the user as the second band end 3 overlaps the first band end 2 such that the abdomen of the user is fully surrounded by the waistband 1. The first band end 2 and the second band end 3 also allow the waistband 1 to be tightened around the waist as desired by the user in order to slightly shrink the waist of the user. The left hip strap 7 and the right hip strap 8 connects the waistband 1 to the left thigh band 11 and the right thigh band 16, respectively. More specifically, the left hip strap 7 and the right hip strap 8 positions the left thigh band 11 and the right thigh band 16 accordingly. In order to offset the waistband 1 with both the left thigh band 11 and the right thigh band 16, the left hip strap 7 and the right hip strap 8 each comprise a proximal strap end 9 and a distal strap end 10. The proximal strap end 9 attaches with the waistband 1, and the distal strap end 10 attaches with the left thigh band 11 and the right thigh band 16, respectively.
  • The overall configuration of the aforementioned components effectively shapes the body of a variety of users. In order for the abdomen of a user to be positioned within the waistband 1, the first band end 2 is positioned opposite the second band end 3 along the waistband 1, as seen in FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4. The proximal strap end 9 of the left hip strap 7 is laterally mounted with the waistband 1, thereby positioning the left hip strap 7 along the left thigh of the user. More specifically, the proximal strap end 9 of the left hip strap 7 is positioned in between the first band end 2 and a central widthwise axis 4 of the waistband 1. This arrangement positions the left thigh band 11 specifically along the outer side of the left thigh so that the user has a full range of motion during an exercise while wearing the present invention. Similarly, the proximal end of the right hip strap 8 is laterally mounted with the waistband 1, thereby positioning the right hip strap 8 along the right thigh of the user. More specifically, the proximal strap end 9 of the right hip strap 8 is positioned in between the second band end 3 and the central widthwise axis 4 of the waistband 1. This arrangement positions the right thigh band 16 specifically along the outer side of the right thigh. In order to connect the waistband 1 with the left hip strap 7, the distal strap end 10 of the left hip strap 7 is laterally mounted with the left thigh band 11. Likewise, in order to connect the waistband 1 with the right hip strap 8, the distal strap end 10 of the right hip strap 8 is laterally mounted with the right thigh band 16. The first band end 2 is releasably attached with the second band end 3. This arrangement allows waistband 1 to be wrapped around and tightened around the abdomen of a user, thereby accelerating the achievement of an hourglass shape during exercise.
  • The overlap of the second band end 3 over the first band end 2 is secured while wrapped around the abdomen of a user as the present invention may further comprise a first hook-and-loop fastener 21, seen in FIG. 4. Furthermore, the waistband 1 comprises an inner band surface 5 and an outer band surface 6. The inner band surface 5 is oriented towards the body of the user, and the outer band surface 6 is oriented away from the body of the user.
