- The present invention relates generally to a hair dryer, and more particularly, to a hair dryer for blowing and styling hair.
- The available hair dryer for blowing and styling hair includes a housing with an air inlet and an air outlet, a handle connected to the housing, a motor, a fan, a heater installed in the housing, and a control circuit installed in the handle. The air inlet and air outlet are located on the two axial sides of the housing. The fan and heater are located between the air inlet and the air outlet. The motor drives the fan to draw air into the housing through the air inlet. The air passes through the heater and becomes hot airflow, which is blown out from the air outlet for drying or styling the hair.
- In the known hair dryer, the air inlet, fan, heater, and air outlet are roughly arranged along the axial direction of the housing. Part of the air passing through the heater is obstructed to form a turbulent flow. The turbulent flow hits the fan and the housing to generate noise as well as increase the power consumption of the motor. The noise make users uncomfortable, especially for hairdressers, as long-term noise environment may affect hearing. Therefore, improving the various problems of the known hair dryer is the objective of the present invention.
- A primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hair dryer, comprising: a housing, a wind module, a control key, and a heating module; wherein the housing has a handle, an air duct and an annular flow-guide chamber; one side of the handle forms an air inlet, one side of the air duct forms an air outlet, and the center of the annular flow-guide chamber forms a perforation; the annular flow-guide chamber communicates with the handle and the air duct respectively and the angle between the handle and the air duct is not more than 180 degrees; the wind module is disposed in the handle and comprises a motor, a fan, a control circuit and an electric power unit mutually connected; the control key is disposed on the surface of the handle and connected to the control circuit; the heating module is disposed in the air duct and connected to the control circuit and the electric power unit.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the cross-section of the perforation along the air flow direction is circular, elliptical or water drop shaped.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the angle between the handle and the air duct is 90 or 180 degrees.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the electric power unit may be connected to an external power source.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the hair dryer further comprises a wind deflector, detachably connected to the air outlet.
- The hair dryer of the present invention includes a housing, a wind module, a control key, and a heating module. The housing has a handle, an air duct, and an annular flow-guide chamber. One side of the handle forms an air inlet, and one side of the air duct form an air outlet, and a perforation is formed at the center of the annular flow-guide chamber. The annular flow-guide chamber is respectively connected with the handle and the air duct. The angle between the handle and the air duct is not more than 180 degrees. With the design of the annular flow-guide chamber and the perforation, the present invention can greatly reduce the noise and power consumption of the hair dryer, and improve the convenience of storing and using the hair dryer.
- The present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art by reading the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:
-

As shown inFIG. 1 , thehair dryer 1 includes ahousing 10, awind module 11, acontrol key 12 and aheating module 13. Thehousing 10 has ahandle 101, anair duct 102, and an annular flow-guide chamber 103. One side of thehandle 101 forms anair inlet 1011, one side of theair duct 102 forms anair outlet 1021, and the center of the annular flow-guide chamber 103 forms aperforation 104. The annular flow-guide chamber 103 respectively communicate with thehandle 101 and theair duct 102, and the angle between thehandle 101 and theair duct 102 is not greater than 180 degrees. Thewind module 11 is disposed in thehandle 101 and includes a motor, a fan, a control circuit, and an electric power unit (not shown) connected to one another. Thecontrol key 12 is disposed on the surface of thehandle 101 and connected to the control circuit. Theheating module 13 is disposed in theair duct 102 and connected to the control circuit and the electric power unit. - The
housing 10 can be molded into two symmetrical half-shells using polymer materials, such as polycarbonate. The motor, fan, control circuit, electric power unit, such as rechargeable battery or wire connected to an external power supply with components such as the rectifier, and theheating module 13, such as electric heating coil, can be selected from known commercially available products.
