Description
- Generally, punching bags are typically bulky in form and filled with various materials into a leather bag that hangs from an overhead beam, punching bags are typically found in fitness centers, gyms and homes, a punching bag is a devise for hitting with a closed first in the art of boxing, the problem with hitting a heavy punching bag is injury. Most injuries consist of sprang wrist, broken fingers, broken wrist, swollen hands, and results in lost of work and incurs expensive medical cost. This style of punching bag is not suited for everyone.
- Other familiar types of punching bags are smaller and also hang from above beams that are designed for speed punching, there is also an air filled type of punching bag filled with sand at the bottom of the unit that sits on a floor, and other styles of punching bags are hand held pads, one person would hold the pads and the other boxer person would punch the pads.
- As a result, existing punching bags are problematic, they're heavy weighted, bulky, persistent occurring injuries, and require a large area of space, in general, existing punching bags come in many forms and styles, no matter what the form or design is, all of the known styles and types of punching devises are categorized as a punching bag, the present invention shall also be categorized as a punching bag, in its conceived embodiment and constructed form.
- Initially the present invention relies on a single sheet of clear vinyl, unlike ridged hard clear plexi-glass, the clear vinyl is soft, thin, flexible and highly durable. Because the clear vinyl is soft and flexible, it avoids injury when it is struck, being portable, light weighted and because it rolls down and up the flat punching bag sheet can be stored in the place where it is installed using virtually no space.
- The present invention is a concept embodied in the art of shadow boxing. A boxer warms up by pretending to punch at their shadow without any contact, this is known as shadow boxing.
- The present invention allows the shadow boxer to strike the clear vinyl flat punching bag sheet with knuckle contact instead of just punching at open air space.
- The clear vinyl sheet combined with a silhouette graphic image inverted on the back side of the clear vinyl sheet comprised with other components becomes a roll down, roll up flat punching bag. The inverted graphic image enhances the users ability to precisely strike various points of contact.
- The above and other features of the invention including various novel details of construction and combinations of parts, and other advantages, will now be more particularly described with references to the accompanying drawings and pointed out in the claims. It will now be understood that the particular device embodying the invention are shown by way of illustration and not as a limitation of the invention.
- The principles and features of this invention may be employed in various embodiments without departing from the scope of the invention.
- In the accompanying drawings, like reference characters refer to the same parts through out the different views. The drawings are not necessarily to scale emphasis instead being placed upon illustrating the principles of the invention. Of the drawings:
