  • the closing member 50 of the bowl chamber 38 is moved from its storage configuration (shown in FIG. 1 ) to expose the bowl 14 that is stored within the bowl chamber 38 (shown in FIG. 3 ).
  • Smoking materials are next deposited within the bowl 14 .
  • the smoking material may be selected from one of the material storage compartments 30 , 32 , 34 , and 36 .
  • the material closing member 78 is moved from its storage configuration (shown in FIG. 6 ) to expose one or more of the material storage chambers 30 , 32 , 34 , and 36 and allow removal of any smoking materials stored therein. Once selected, the material closing member 78 may be returned to its storage configuration to prevent loss of material remaining in the material storage chambers 30 , 32 , 34 and 36 during use.
  • a distal end 124 or 132 of the nails 18 or 20 is heated with a torch to a temperature at which the nail 18 or 20 can vaporize the smoking material.
  • Suitable torches include propane torches, or even smaller butane torches. Titanium nails 18 tend to have higher heat retention than glass and quartz nails, so titanium nails 18 can handle larger material quantities. However, the metal may transfer some of its metallic “flavor” to the smoking material. Glass nails 20 also retain heat well, are less expensive to manufacture than titanium nails 18 , and do not transfer any flavor to the smoking material. However, glass nails 20 are much more fragile, often breaking if dropped and even cracking from quick changes in temperature.
  • the distal end 124 , 132 of the nails 18 or 20 is inserted into the smoking material in the bowl 14 and twisted around to lodge some of the smoking material within the openings 128 , 136 formed on the distal ends 124 , 132 of the nail 18 or 20 .
  • the mouthpiece 114 is then inserted into a user's mouth and ready to be inhaled.
  • selected nail 18 or 20 may be dislodged from the nectar collector 16 and restored within its respective nail storage chamber 110 , 112 .
  • the nail 18 or 20 may be disposed within the nail storage chamber 110 , 112 while still connected to the nectar collector 16 .
  • the nectar collector 16 may then be angled to apply a force to the nail 18 , 20 sufficient to dislodge the nail 18 , 20 from the nail opening 120 of the nectar collector 16 .
  • the nectar collector storage chamber 108 may be of a sufficient length that a nectar collection 16 with a nail 18 or 20 connected thereto, may also be stored pre-assembled therein.
  • the nectar collector 16 may also be restored within the nectar storage chamber 108 .
  • the closing member 50 of the bowl chamber 38 may be closed to store the bowl 14 . Once all the implements 16 , 18 , 20 are appropriately stored, the storage case 12 may be easily transported, with all implements and material collected together in a convenient carrying case that allows easy retrieval of the implements for additional use.
