Abstract
Description
- The present disclosure relates generally to a vaping kit, and more particularly to a vaping kit having compartments for storing one or more vaping implements, materials for smoking, and a smoking bowl.
- Vaping has recently increased in popularity as an alternative to smoking traditional cigarettes, and allowing customized use of different smoking materials. To engage in vaping, one needs a number of smoking implements, such as a nectar collector, at least one nail, smoking material, and a bowl for the smoking material. The nectar collector is similar to a pipe or straw that a user draws on to pull in vapor. The nail attaches to the nectar collector and is typically heated to vaporize smoking material to be drawn through the nectar collector. Smoking material is deposited into the bowl and the heated nail is inserted into the material vaporize the material.
- While the nectar collector, nails and bowls are small items that are easily portable, each item can also be easily lost or misplaced. Further, as some of the implements, such as the nail and bowl are often constructed of glass, if such items are dropped, they may break. Accordingly, what is needed is an all-in-one kit that allows for easy portability, storage and use of the smoking implements.
- In one exemplary arrangement, a vaping kit comprises a storage case, a bowl and one or more smoking implements. The storage case further includes a bowl chamber for storage of the bowl, and at least one storage chamber for each of the smoking implements.
- In another exemplary arrangement, a vaping kit comprises a storage case, a bowl, a nectar collector and at least two nails. The storage case further includes a number of storage chambers that allows for selective storage of the smoking implements. More specifically, in one exemplary arrangement, a bowl chamber for storage of the bowl is provided in the storage case. A nectar collector storage chamber for selective storage of the nectar collector may also be provided. Further, there may be at least two nail storage chambers for selective storage of nails. In addition, the storage case may further include at least one material storage chamber for receiving and storing smoking material. To ensure that the smoking implements are adequately stored, each storage chamber may have a closing member associated therewith. More specifically, each of closing members may be operably engaged to close the respective bowl chamber, nectar collector storage chamber, the nail storage chambers and each material storage chamber.
- Additional alternative arrangements provide for tethers that will retain the closing members to the storage case when the closing members are moved from a storage configuration to an open configuration where access to the respective storage chambers may be provided.

FIGS. 1-6 , an exemplary arrangement of avaping kit 10 is shown. In one exemplary configuration, vaping kit 10 comprises astorage case 12, a bowl 14 (best seen inFIG. 4 ), andsmoking implements FIG. 3 ).Storage case 12 is defined by atop surface 22, abottom surface 24,end surfaces side surfaces storage case 12 is constructed of silicone or other resilient material such that if thestorage case 12 is dropped, breakage is reduced. Referring toFIGS. 3 and 4 , thestorage case 12 may include at least one material storage chamber. In the exemplary arrangement shown inFIGS. 3 and 4 , there are fourmaterial storage chambers storage case 12 from one of theside surfaces 28 a. However, it is understood that more or less material storage chambers may be provided without departing from the aims of the disclosure.Material storage chambers -
Storage case 12 further comprises abowl chamber 38 disposed therein.Bowl chamber 38 is sized to receivebowl 14. In one exemplary arrangement, thebowl chamber 38 and thebowl 14 have complementary shapes and are sized such that thebowl 14 may be friction fit within thebowl chamber 38 to effectively retain thebowl 14 within thebowl chamber 38 during transport and use. This arrangement also allows for selectively removal ofbowl 14, for cleaning or replacement. As best seen inFIG. 3 ,bowl chamber 38 is defined by abottom surface 40, from which a continuous upwardly extendingwall 42 extends.Wall 42 extends around a perimeter of thebottom surface 40.Bottom surface 40 may be constructed to be substantially planar. - In one exemplary arrangement,
bowl chamber 38 extends inwardly fromtop surface 22 ofstorage case 12. In one exemplary arrangement, anengagement flange 44 extends substantially around an outer perimeter ofbowl chamber 38 and is inset from thetop surface 22 of the storage case. In this arrangement, wall 42 does not extend all the way to thetop surface 22 ofstorage case 12. Arelease notch 46 may be formed to extend outwardly from thebowl chamber 38, adjacent to theengagement flange 44. In one exemplary arrangement, abottom surface 48 of therelease notch 46 is co-extensive with theengagement flange 44. - To selectively close the bowl chamber 38 (i.e., for storage or transport), a
closing member 50 may be provided. In one exemplary arrangement, closing member 50 is constructed to have a complementary size and shape as thebowl chamber 38. For example, referring to the exemplary arrangement inFIG. 3 , for a bowl chamber 39 having an oval shape, theclosing member 50 has a similar oval shape. Closingmember 50 may be constructed to closebowl chamber 38 via friction fit such that theclosing member 50 is in a sealed engagement with a portion of thestorage case 12 to prevent water and other contaminants from entering thebowl chamber 38. In this regard, theclosing member 50 further comprises anengagement member 52 and amounting flange 54 extending around theengagement member 52 in some arrangements. - To close the
bowl chamber 38, theengagement member 52 is received within an opening of thebowl chamber 38 with themounting flange 54 engaging theengagement flange 44 of thebowl chamber 38. To facilitate entry of theengagement member 52 within the interior of thebowl chamber 38, an outer periphery of theengagement member 52 may be chamfered 53. Referring toFIGS. 1 and 2 , once engaged in this manner, atop surface 56 of theclosing member 50 becomes generally co-planar with thetop surface 22 of thestorage case 12. To release theclosing member 50, a finger nail or other implement may engage the mountingflange 54 of theclosing member 50 and separate themounting flange 54 from theengagement flange 44 at therelease notch 46. Other arrangements for selectively closing thebowl chamber 38 are contemplated without departing from the disclosure. For example, complementary fasteners may be employed to secure theclosing member 50 over thebowl chamber 38 and to thestorage case 12. - To prevent the
closing member 50 from becoming lost, in one exemplary arrangement, atether 58 that has afirst end 60 extending from thetop surface 56 of theclosing member 50 and asecond end 62 extending from thestorage case 12 may be provided.
