Description
- A portion of the disclosure of this patent document contains material which is subject to copyright protection. The copyright owner has no objection to the facsimile reproduction by anyone of the patent document or the patent disclosure, as it appears in the Patent and Trademark Office patent file or records, but otherwise reserves all copyright rights whatsoever.
- The present invention relates generally to a cosmetic tool, and more particularly, to a cosmetic tool capable of allowing users to accomplish multiple skin care tasks with one same tool.
- The following background information may present examples of specific aspects of the prior art (e.g., without limitation, approaches, facts, or common wisdom) that, while expected to be helpful to further educate the reader as to additional aspects of the prior art, is not to be construed as limiting the present invention, or any embodiments thereof, to anything stated or implied therein or inferred thereupon.
- In the art of facial make-up, mascara is used to darken and define eyelashes to accent the eyes. Typically, mascara is applied to the eyelashes after eyeshadow and eyeliner have been applied. Mascara is available in liquid form or in a light fluid paste preparation and is applied by a small brush that is attached to the end of a wand. The mascara is supplied from a tube-like dispenser container in which the wand and brush are inserted. After mascara is loaded on the brush, a thin layer of mascara is applied to the upper eyelashes by moving the brush from the base to the tip of the eyelashes. The brush is then re-inserted into the dispenser until a desired amount of mascara has adhered to the brush. Additional coats of mascara can be applied to the upper eyelashes, if desired. The brush is then reloaded and mascara is applied to the lower lashes in the same manner. The ends of the eyelashes can also be coated with mascara by moving the brush horizontally across the tips. The brush is also used to separate the eyelashes and remove clumps.
- Cotton swab of the type mentioned with both ends fixed to cotton wool bodies, etc. are often used for the daily beauty care, in particular for cleaning the ears, in the eye cosmetics, manicure, lipstick correction. In the cotton swab is so-called disposable articles which are fed after a single use of waste utilization. It is therefore desirable that the swab is biodegradable as a whole or at least parts, and is also made as a whole or at least parts from renewable raw materials. While the cotton body usually made of natural fibers such as cotton, is the handle body is often made of a non-biodegradable plastic such as polypropylene.
- The above cosmetic products are just two examples of the many cosmetic products on the market. Most people have and use a lot more cosmetic products. Thus, it is clear that a person may, have numerous tools and applicators in their homes.
- U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,446,880 and 4,545,393 to Gueret and U.S. Pat. No. 7,467,905 to Habatjou disclose make-up brushes/applicators that are variable in diameter by varying the length in response to manipulation of actuation means or an adjuster element. In order to achieve an expanded configuration, the actuation means/adjuster element must be manipulated and inconvenience for the user. Furthermore, there is no indication that the brush or applicator in an expanded configuration is capable of being drawn through a relatively smaller wiper opening. The '880 and '393 disclosures clearly indicate that the bellows embodiment has sufficient elasticity to cause it to resume the elongated reduced diameter portion, i.e., the brush is biased to the smaller configuration rather than the expanded configuration of the present invention. The '905 disclosure appears to be similar. The disclosed brushes are also relatively complex in both construction (numerous parts to be assembled) and use (manipulation of the actuation means or adjuster element to achieve an expanded configuration).
- The DE-U-297 16 819 discloses a compostable cotton swab, which is produced from cardboard or paper. The handle body made of cardboard by being cut out from a sheet punched, or produced by using a cellulose pulp is filled into corresponding molds and pressed is produced. The handle paper body is manufactured as a wound body, which are in with a corresponding winding technique strip of paper wound into a rod-shaped body. The Gnfikörper described above have either the disadvantage that they are not environmentally friendly or that their manufacture is complex and correspondingly expensive.
- None of the prior art methods have been found to be completely suitable to meet these needs and are cumbersome. Consequently, what is needed is a makeup applicator (or tool) that can be used for multiple purposes. Specifically, there is a need for a multi-purpose makeup tool or applicator which is lightweight, portable and fully functional without sacrificing any of the functionality of each tool that the multi-purpose tool is replacing. The present invention provides such a method and the overall combination of these features is nowhere disclosed in the prior art cited above which appears to be representative of the general art in this area although it is not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of pertinent prior art patents.
- In light of the disadvantages of the prior art, the following summary is provided to facilitate an understanding of some of the innovative features unique to the present invention and is not intended to be a full description. A full appreciation of the various aspects of the invention can be gained by taking the entire specification, claims, drawings, and abstract as a whole.
- In order to solve the above problems, the method and system of this invention focused on 2 in 1 portable applicator and brush. In which one is Mascara side which is used to brush brows and/or lash hairs the other side is Lint free swab side which is used to clean lashes and/or apply brow tint or henna.
- Another embodiment of the present invention is to provide a disposable mascara applicator-assembly having a disposable mascara applicator which is completely contained in first casing-sections and swab side which is used to clean lashes or apply lipstick in second plastic casing-sections.
- In one aspect, the first applicator includes a brush for applying mascara. The brush comprises a plurality of bristles and the bristles permanently extend outwardly from the elongated shaft.
- It is an object of the invention to provide an improved and simple and inexpensive applicator which is readily cleaned but so cheap that it may be treated as disposable; which may readily be carried and compactly stored.
- This Summary is provided merely for purposes of summarizing some example embodiments, so as to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the subject matter described herein. Accordingly, it will be appreciated that the above-described features are merely examples and should not be construed to narrow the scope or spirit of the subject matter described herein in any way. It will be further understood that terms, such as those defined in commonly used dictionaries, should be interpreted as having a meaning that is consistent with their meaning in the context of the relevant art and the present disclosure and will not be interpreted in an idealized or overly formal sense unless expressly so defined herein.
- In describing the invention, it will be understood that a number of techniques are disclosed. Each of these has individual benefit and each can also be used in conjunction with one or more, or in some cases all, of the other disclosed techniques. Accordingly, for the sake of clarity, this description will refrain from repeating possible combination in an unnecessary fashion. Nevertheless, the specifications and claim/s should be read with the understanding that such combinations are entirely within the scope of the invention and the claim/s.
- The method and system of this invention focused on the 2 in 1 portable applicator and brush. In which one is Mascara side which is used to brush brows and/or lash hairs the other side is Lint free swab side which is used to clean lashes and/or apply brow tint or henna.
- Both sides are not restricted for cosmetics purpose only but for universal cleaning on small areas such as: keyboards, guns, ink-jets and printers, cameras and more. Brush side is used to scrub lips and the lipstick swab side is used to apply ointments or lipsticks.
