Description
- A portion of the disclosure of this patent contains material that is subject to copyright protection. The copyright owner has no objection to the reproduction by anyone of the patent document or the patent disclosure as it appears in the Patent and Trademark Office patent files or records, but otherwise reserves all copyright rights whatsoever.
- The present invention relates to a device for pulling bra straps together. In particular, it relates to a device, when positioned on the front straps of a bra, creates lift and cleavage enhancement.
- The bra is a form-fitting undergarment suspender designed to support or cover the wearer's breasts. Bras come in a variety of designs, cuts, and styles, each with its own purpose. The plunge type bra is low cut, designed to expose the top area of the breast. In order to exacerbate the look, bras, such as push up bras are designed to further enhance the look. One problem is that while these multiple styles exist, most women own a wide variety of bras that don't provide enhancement. It is not practical to have all bras of one type only, so there is a need for something to provide enhancement in existing bras.
- The present invention relates to a device that connects the two front straps of a bra and pulls them closer together thus creating lift and cleavage enhancement by increasing tension on the bra cups.
- Accordingly, in one embodiment, there is a device for creating breast lift and enhancement for use with a bra having a front left and front right bra strap comprising:
-
- a) a body having a first end and a second end which is narrower than a distance between the left and right front bra strap;
- b) a device for attaching the first end of the body to the left front bra strap;
- c) a device for attaching the second end of the body to the right front bra strap; and
- d) wherein when attached to the left and right front bra strap, the device pulls the left and right bra strap closer together.
-
FIG. 1 is a depiction of a bra without the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a view of the device on a bra worn by a woman. -
FIG. 3 is a close up front view showing the adjustment of length device. - While this invention is susceptible to embodiment in many different forms, there is shown in the drawings, and will herein be described in detail, specific embodiments with the understanding that the present disclosure of such embodiments is to be considered as an example of the principles and not intended to limit the invention to the specific embodiments shown and described. In the description below, like reference numerals are used to describe the same, similar, or corresponding parts in the several views of the drawings. This detailed description defines the meaning of the terms used herein and specifically describes embodiments in order for those skilled in the art to practice the invention.
- The terms “about” and “essentially” mean ±10 percent.
- The terms “a” or “an”, as used herein, are defined as one or as more than one. The term “plurality”, as used herein, is defined as two or as more than two. The term “another”, as used herein, is defined as at least a second or more. The terms “including” and/or “having”, as used herein, are defined as comprising (i.e., open language). The term “coupled”, as used herein, is defined as connected, although not necessarily directly, and not necessarily mechanically.
- The term “comprising” is not intended to limit inventions to only claiming the present invention with such comprising language. Any invention using the term comprising could be separated into one or more claims using “consisting” or “consisting of” claim language and is so intended.
- Reference throughout this document to “one embodiment”, “certain embodiments”, “an embodiment”, or similar terms means that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment is included in at least one embodiment of the present invention. Thus, the appearances of such phrases in various places throughout this specification are not necessarily all referring to the same embodiment. Furthermore, the particular features, structures, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments without limitation.
- The term “or”, as used herein, is to be interpreted as an inclusive or meaning any one or any combination. Therefore, “A, B, or C” means any of the following: “A; B; C; A and B; A and C; B and C; A, B, and C”. An exception to this definition will occur only when a combination of elements, functions, steps, or acts are in some way inherently mutually exclusive.
- The drawings featured in the figures are for the purpose of illustrating certain convenient embodiments of the present invention and are not to be considered as limitation thereto. The term “means” preceding a present participle of an operation indicates a desired function for which there is one or more embodiments, i.e., one or more methods, devices, or apparatuses for achieving the desired function and that one skilled in the art could select from these or their equivalent in view of the disclosure herein, and use of the term “means” is not intended to be limiting.
- As used herein, the term “creating breast lift and enhancement” refers to the effect of pushing the breasts closer together by attaching a strap to the front of the left and right bra straps such that the straps are pulled closer together. - As used herein, the term “bra” refers to an undergarment worn by women to support the breasts.
- As used herein, the term “left and right bra straps” refers to the front of the left and right bra straps as seen from the front of the bra and depicted in the drawings. The device of the invention is connected to the left and right bra straps to pull the straps closer together and the breasts closer together.
- As used herein, the term “adjustable” refers to attaching an adjustment device to the body of the device in order to change the length of the device. Shorter means more lift and longer means less lift.
- As used herein, the term “appearance of jewelry” refers to decorating the device to look more like jewelry than an action device on the bra. In general, a pleasing esthetic look makes it more visually appealing.
- As used herein, the term “body” refers to the device of the invention that stretches between the left and right bra straps. It can be any material, cloth, plastic, metal, and the like and have devices for attaching the left and right side of the device to the left and right bra straps on the front of the bra straps. The device can be a strap or a cord and, in one embodiment, has the appearance of jewelry, such as is shown in
FIG. 3 . - Now referring to the drawings,
FIG. 1 is a frontal view of a low cut bra. In this view,bra 1 with left andright straps bra straps 5 is how far apart the straps are. -
FIG. 2 is a frontal view of thesame bra 1 with the device of theinvention 10 with a first andsecond end right bra straps bra straps 11 is now less than the distance inFIG. 1 . The result is the breasts 4 are lifted high and appear fuller as they are pressed together. - In
FIG. 3 , there is a close up frontal view ofdevice 10. In this view, the device is designed asjewelry 31 wherein the length can be adjusted to change how far the bra straps are pulled bylength adjustment device 30. - Those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains may make modifications resulting in other embodiments employing principles of the present invention without departing from its spirit or characteristics, particularly upon considering the foregoing teachings.
