Abstract
A heating hanger. The hanger includes a casing, having a lower and upper grills. The casing further includes a heating ensemble, which provides heat employing resistive heating elements, and a fan. A cycle commutator controls the operation of the heating ensemble and fan to provide heated forced airflow to a garment hanging on the hanger.
Description
- The invention relates to a heating hanger, easing the drying of the garment being hanged on it.
- The use of hangers to hang garments and to avoid the creases is known in the state of the art. The clothes may become dry after being stretched in the air, but the applicant does not know any hanger having the suitable means to accelerate the drying process.
- Precisely, a problem to be solved is accelerating the drying process while the clothes are hanged in the hanger.
- Accelerating the drying process may be always useful but it is particularly convenient when the clothes absorb too much humidity and the drying is very slow (for example, neoprene suits used in sport garments).
- The subject invention relates to a hanger having at least one forced-air heating convector to accelerate the drying of a wet garment. It is characterized in that, in relation to the arms wherein the hanged garment is placed, it comprises:
-
- a casing wherein a lower grille and an upper grille are held and they are associated to a heating ensemble and a fan, respectively; and
- a cycle commutator which, connected to an outer power supply through a wire, monitors the switching on and off of both the heating ensemble and the fan depending on, at least, one switch, to cause the operation of the forced-air heating convector and to accelerate the drying of the hanged garment.
- From this basic structure, any embodiment is encompassed in this invention as long as it does not alter, change or modify the intended spirit, particularly:
- The cited casing is divided into two semi-casings facing each other and holding the upper grille and the associated fan and the lower grille and the associated heating ensemble, the switch being disposed in one of the semi-casings.
- The cited heating ensemble comprises one or more resistors on the housing/frame.
- The lower and upper grilles comprise rods having several closed portions in a concentric arrangement being engaged by one or more open portions in an opposing arrangement.
- Other configurations and advantages may be deduced from the following description and the dependent claims.
- For a better understanding of this invention the attached figures depict a preferred embodiment being susceptible to possible changes without departing from the scope of the invention.
-
FIG. 1 shows a general perspective view of the heating hanger of the invention with the basic component pieces in an assembly arrangement. - An example of a non-limiting and practical embodiment of the present invention will be described now. Other modes of the embodiment wherein changes are introduced are not discarded, as long as they do not depart from the scope of the invention.
- The object of the invention is a heating hanger comprising a casing (1), a lower grille (2), an upper grille (3), a heating ensemble (4), a fan (5), a cycle commutator (6), a wire (7) for electric supply from an outer source and the arms (8), wherein the hanged garment is hanged.
- According to this invention and to the depicted embodiment, the casing (1) is divided into two semi-casings (1 a), (1 b), facing each other and engaged with each other by holding both the upper grille (3) and the associated fan (5) and the lower grille (2) and the associated heating ensemble (4).
- A switch (9) is placed in one of the cited semi-casings (1 a) monitoring the switching on and off of the heating ensemble (4) and the fan (5).
- The heating ensemble (4) comprises one or more resistors (42) on the housing/frame (41). In the depicted example of the embodiment, the heating ensemble (4) comprises several electrical resistors (42) on the housing/frame which has several arms (41 a) in a radial arrangement.
- In the depicted example of the embodiment, the lower grille (2) and the upper grille (3) comprise rods. Each grille (2), (3) has several closed portions (21), (31) in a concentric arrangement being engaged by one or more open portions (22), (32) in an opposing arrangement.
- Having these arrangements, components and features, once the garment is placed to become dry on the arms (8), the casing (1) and the components therein are placed within the garment.
- By triggering the switch (9), the commutator (6) is turned on and the heating ensemble (4) and the fan (2) are switched on, the ensemble working as a forced-air heating convector. The hot flowing air acts accelerating the drying process of the garment.
- Several materials, dimensions, proportions, accessories and secondary details are encompassed in this invention as long as they do not alter, change or modify the intended purpose.
- The terminology in this disclosure is true and it represents the described object in the broadest sense, being regarded as non-limiting.
