- (1) Field of the Invention
- The disclosure and prior art relates to shelving assemblies and more particularly pertains to a new shelving assembly for positioning on an outside corner.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a pair of plates and a plurality of panels. Each plate has an inner edge. The inner edges are coupled so that an inner surface of the first plates defines an inner corner. The inner corner is complementary to an outside corner of an element of a structure so that the pair of plates is configured to abut the element. Each panel is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from an outer surface of the pair of plates to define a perimeter of the panel. The panels are configured to position articles of a user.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an isometric perspective view of a shelving assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new shelving assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , theshelving assembly 10 generally comprises a pair ofplates 12 and a plurality ofpanels 20. Eachplate 12 has aninner edge 14. Theinner edges 14 are coupled so that aninner surface 16 of thefirst plates 12 defines aninner corner 18. Theinner corner 18 is complementary to an outside corner of an element of a structure, such as a corner formed by the meeting of two walls. Theplates 12 are coupled so that theinner corner 18 is right angled. Theplates 12 are rectangularly shaped. Theplates 12 are dimensionally equivalent. Theplates 12 comprise wood, plastic, or the like. - The pair of
plates 12 is configured to abut the element, as shown inFIG. 6 . The pair ofplates 12 is configured to be coupled to the element of the structure using techniques well known to those skilled in the art of shelving installation, including but not limited to drilling of holes through theplates 12 into the element and driving of screws through the holes into the element. - Each
panel 20 is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from anouter surface 22 of the pair ofplates 12, as shown inFIG. 3 , to define aperimeter 24 of thepanel 20. Theperimeter 24 of thepanel 20 is arcuate, as shown inFIG. 1 . Thepanels 20 are configured to position articles of a user, as shown inFIG. 6 . - Each
perimeter 24 has a respective length so that the plurality ofpanels 20 comprisespanels 20 that haveperimeters 24 of a variety of lengths, as shown inFIG. 2 . The plurality ofpanels 20 comprises atop panel 26, a plurality ofmedial panels 28, and abottom panel 30. Thetop panel 26 is coupled proximate to anupper edge 32 of the pair ofplates 12. Thebottom panel 30 is coupled proximate to alower edge 34 of the pair ofplates 12. Themedial panels 28 are positioned between thetop panel 26 and thebottom panel 30. - The plurality of
medial panels 28 comprises onemedial panel 28. Theperimeter 24 of thetop panel 26 extends betweenouter edges 36 of theplates 12. Theperimeter 24 of themedial panel 28 is shorter than theperimeter 24 of thetop panel 26. Theperimeter 24 of thebottom panel 30 is shorter than theperimeter 24 of themedial panel 28. Thepanels 20 comprise wood, plastic, or the like. - In use, the pair of
plates 12 is coupled to the outside corner of the element of the structure so that thepanels 20 are configured to position the articles of the user. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
