Abstract

By looking at the entire scope of E-Z Sleeve invention, it is apparent that this invention has uniqueness which is required for patent. It is the only way that a shirt can be minimally altered with maximum containment of sunglasses or eyeglasses regardless of any motion even horizontal. A simple button hole sewn sideways with a small cloth strip approximately 3 inches below it will firmly hold glasses better than putting them in a chest pocket.

Description

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION 1. Field of Invention
  • The entire scope of this invention is to address the problem of maintaining and firmly securing a set of sunglasses or eyeglasses on the left chest of a shirt or T-shirt without the use of a chest pocket. This invention can be used for both right or left side of shirt or T-shirt. By firmly controlling the placement of either sun or eyeglasses, the user can still work or bend over while glasses remain firmly in place. In the past, by containing glasses in chest pocket, user was limited by range of motion used so that the glasses would not fall out of chest pocket. This invention would allow user to crawl on hands and knees or work horizontally without losing glasses.
  • 2. Description of Prior Art
  • There really is no other prior art other than chest pockets to hold eyeglasses or sunglasses. Hanging them off the front of shirt at the neck is not considered prior art since no modification of shirt or T-shirt has been done. E-Z Sleeve utilizes a horizontally sewn button hole on usually left side of shirt or T-shirt but can also be sewn on the right side. Directly underneath the horizontal button hole approximately three inches down on the inside of shirt is where a small cloth strap one inch long and a half inch wide is also sewn horizontally just on the ends. It is this strap that firmly contains the eyeglasses or sunglasses in place. E-Z Sleeve can be sewn next to chest pocket if pocket is manufactured on shirt.
  • SUMMARY
  • All this invention does is to barely modify any type of shirt with minimal manufacturing changes so that a shirt can firmly hold in eyeglasses or sunglasses so that user has much more range of motion with glasses in place.
  • DESCRIPTION OF FIG. A AND FIG. B
  • FIG. A Depicts the front of shirt with horizontal button hole sewn on left chest of shirt.
  • FIG. B depicts the back of shirt showing the inside of left chest by cutaway to show where horizontal strap is sewn.
  • DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • This is an invention that can be implemented on any type of shirt regardless what type of material it is made from. T-shirts would probably be the most used with this invention regardless if there is also a chest pocket. FIG. A shows the front of the shirt from the outside. On the left chest is a finely sewn horizontal button hole (1) where the earframe of eyeglasses or sunglasses is inserted vertically. FIG. B depicts the back of the shirt with a cutaway (3) to show inside of left chest. In the cutaway (3) approximately three inches directly below the horizontal button hole (1) is where the one inch long cloth strap (2) is sewn horizontally on each end to firmly secure the earframe of the glasses.

Claims (2)

I claim:
1. A finely sewn horizontal button hole on either side of chest of any shirt. This slit is to be sewn exactly as a button is sewn only sideways.
2. A one inch long by a half inch wide cloth strap sewn only on the ends directly under horizontal button hole approximately three inches below it to firmly secure glasses.
