Abstract

A shower and toilet system including a shower having a built-in toilet including a dispenser with a cover. The built-in toilet is mounted to an interior wall of the shower and extends therefrom. Plumbing of the toilet is in communication with bathroom plumbing such that the water is delivered and disposed of during use of the built-in toilet. The dispenser is configured to house a roll of toilet-paper. The cover is connected to the dispenser and provides a water-resistant shield for protecting the roll of toilet-paper from water damage. The device provides a toilet option for individuals with time management, parents and children, the elderly, the physically limited, or ill people as well as caretakers. Self-cleaning features are further included.

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

The present application is related to and claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/555,616 filed Sep. 7, 2017, which is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to the field of bathrooms and more specifically relates to showers and toilets.

2. Description of Related Art

Many people enjoy taking a shower. A shower may be practiced for personal hygiene, or therapeutic purposes. Showering can take place in any situation where there is water, ranging from warm to cold. It can take place in a bathtub or shower. While showering and/or bathing, people may have to go to the bathroom. Getting out of a shower/bath may end up getting the floor and other bathroom products wet. Cleaning up after getting bath mats and other items wet can be frustrating. Further, physically-limited, elderly, and sick people may have to use the restroom immediately while showering. Caretakers having to help a person in and out of the shower can be difficult and time-consuming. A suitable solution is desired.
U.S. Pat. No. 6,185,759 to Winfried Staudenmayer relates to a built-in sanitary furniture unit. The described built-in sanitary furniture unit includes a built-in furniture unit is provided with a fixedly mounted toilet, a shower, a shower tray, a rear wall rigidly connected to the shower tray, and a toilet seat movably mounted on the rear wall. The built-in furniture unit is designed as a cubicle. The essential advantage of this built-in furniture unit is that it can be installed, for example, in the bedroom of a person in need of nursing, so transforming the bedroom into a nursing care room.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known bathroom art, the present disclosure provides a novel shower and toilet system. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a shower with a built-in toilet for use while showering, thus eliminating the need to get out of the shower to use the bathroom. The device is especially useful for individuals with time management (young and middle aged), parents and children, the elderly, the physically limited, or ill people as well as caretakers.
A shower and toilet system is disclosed herein. The shower and toilet system includes a shower having a built-in toilet including a dispenser with a cover. The built-in toilet is mounted to an interior wall of the shower and extends therefrom. The toilet is a flush-toilet and includes a water-inlet and water-outlet. The water-inlet is configured to supply clean water therethrough to a bowl of the built-in toilet from a water source. The water-outlet is configured to act as a means for drainage of wastewater from the bowl of the built-in toilet. Plumbing of the toilet being in communication with bathroom plumbing such that the water is delivered and disposed of during use of the built-in toilet. The dispenser is configured to house a roll of toilet-paper. The cover is connected to the dispenser and provides a water-resistant shield for protecting the roll of toilet-paper from water damage.

The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a bathroom and more particularly to a shower and toilet system as used to offer a simple and convenient toilet option for individuals with time management or physically-limited individuals who may have trouble getting in and out of the shower to relieve themselves.
Generally, the present shower and toilet system including a shower unit with an accessible, built-in toilet inside. The system includes a built-in tissue holder with a metal covering, offering access to toilet tissue without worry of the tissue being wet and unusable. This eliminates the need to get out of the shower and get bathroom items wet. The user can go to the bathroom using the toilet and then flush away waste. The toilet is intended to offer a convenient solution to using the bathroom while bathing. The shower and toilet system is intended to share the same pipeline as a standard toilet. Shower and toilet system may be built into any type of bath or shower unit. A self-cleaning feature may be included with the present shower and toilet system. The self-cleaning features include push button controls and a metal tool or brush configured within the built-in toilet. The metal tool or brush extends from the toilet bowl and is designed to clean the interior bowl portion of the toilet. A remote control may further be provided for controlling the system.
Referring now more specifically to the drawings by numerals of reference, there is shown in FIGS. 1-5, various views of a shower and toilet system 100. FIG. 1 shows a shower and toilet system 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As illustrated, the shower and toilet system 100 may include a shower 110 having a built-in toilet 120 including a dispenser 130 with a cover 140. The built-in toilet 120 is mounted to an interior wall of the shower 110 and extends therefrom. The toilet includes a water-inlet and water-outlet. Plumbing of the toilet 120 is in communication with bathroom plumbing such that the water is delivered and disposed of during use of the built-in toilet 120. The dispenser 130 is configured to house a roll of toilet-paper. The cover 140 is connected to the dispenser 130 and provides a water-resistant shield for protecting the roll of toilet-paper from water damage.
FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the shower and toilet system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As above, the shower and toilet system 100 may include the built-in toilet 120 including the dispenser 130 with the cover 140 mounted within a shower 110. The built-in toilet 120 may be mounted offset or opposing a shower-head within the shower 110. The built-in toilet 120 is a flush-toilet including necessary plumbing connections for removal of wastewater. The built-in toilet 120 further comprises a controller for controlling flushing functions of the built-in toilet. The toilet 120 includes a water-inlet and water-outlet. The water-inlet is configured to supply clean water therethrough to a bowl of the built-in toilet from a water source. The water-outlet is configured to act as a means for drainage of wastewater from the bowl of the built-in toilet 120.
FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the shower and toilet system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As above, the shower and toilet system 100 may include the shower 110 having the built-in toilet 120 including the dispenser 130 with the cover 140 providing a convenient bathroom solution for users, individuals with time management, elders and physically limited users, parents, and children. The dispenser 130 is integral to the built-in toilet 120. The dispenser 130 comprises a substantially similar profile to the roll of toilet-paper. The dispenser 130 provides a housing for the roll of toilet-paper when inserted therein. The roll of toilet-paper is able to rotate within the housing of the dispenser 130.
FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of the shower and toilet system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As above, the shower and toilet system 100 may include the shower 110 having the built-in toilet 120 including the dispenser 130 with the cover 140. In a preferred embodiment, the built-in toilet 120 is stationary. The built-in toilet 120 is non-removeable and built in to the shower wall and bathroom plumbing. The built-in toilet 120 is configured to support a weight of the user. The built-in toilet 120 may further comprise a hinged lid 122.
FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of the shower and toilet system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As above, the shower and toilet system 100 may include the shower 110 having the built-in toilet 120 including the dispenser 130 with the cover 140. The cover 140 provides a lid-like mechanism or canopy over the roll of toilet-paper configured within the dispenser 130. The cover 140 comprises a water-resistant material such as metal or similar material such that it protects toilet-paper from water. The cover 140 may be moveable to provide access to the roll of toilet-paper within the dispenser 130. The dispenser 130 further includes a water-resistant material. In a preferred embodiment, the dispenser 130 comprises metal.
The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.

Claims

What is claimed is new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent is set forth in the appended claims:

1. A shower and toilet system comprising:

a shower having;

a built-in toilet including;

a dispenser;

a cover;

wherein said built-in toilet is mounted to an interior wall of said shower and extends therefrom;

wherein said toilet includes a water-inlet and water-outlet, plumbing of said toilet being in communication with bathroom plumbing such that said water is delivered and disposed of during use of said built-in toilet;

wherein said dispenser is configured to house a roll of toilet-paper; and

wherein said cover is connected to said dispenser and provides a water-resistant shield for protecting said roll of toilet-paper from water damage.

2. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said built-in toilet is mounted opposing a shower-head within said shower.

3. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said built-in toilet is a flush-toilet.

4. The shower and toilet system of claim 3, wherein said built-in toilet further comprises a controller for controlling flushing functions of said built-in toilet.

5. The shower and toilet system of claim 4, wherein said dispenser is integral to said built-in toilet.

6. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said dispenser comprises a substantially similar profile to said roll of toilet-paper, said dispenser providing a housing for said roll of toilet-paper when inserted therein.

7. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said roll of toilet-paper is able to rotate within said housing of said dispenser.

8. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said water-inlet is configured to supply clean water therethrough to a bowl of said built-in toilet from a water source.

9. The shower and toilet system of claim 8, wherein said water-outlet is configured to act as a means for drainage of wastewater from said bowl of said built-in toilet.

10. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said built-in toilet is stationary.

11. The shower and toilet system of claim 10, wherein said built-in toilet is non-removeable.

12. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said built-in toilet further comprises a hinged lid.

13. The shower and toilet system of claim 1, wherein said cover provides a canopy over said roll of toilet-paper configured within said dispenser.

14. The shower and toilet system of claim 13, wherein said cover comprises a water-resistant material.

15. The shower and toilet system of claim 14, wherein said water-resistant material is metal.

16. The shower and toilet system of claim 13, wherein said cover is moveable and provides access to said roll of toilet-paper within said dispenser.

17. The shower and toilet system of claim 16, wherein said dispenser comprises a water-resistant material.

18. The shower and toilet system of claim 17, wherein said water-resistant material is metal.

19. A shower and toilet system, the shower and toilet system comprising:

a shower having;

a built-in toilet including;

a dispenser;

a cover;

wherein said dispenser is configured to house a roll of toilet-paper;

wherein said cover is connected to said dispenser and provides a water-resistant shield for protecting said roll of toilet-paper from water damage;

wherein said built-in toilet is mounted opposing a shower-head within said shower;

wherein said built-in toilet is a flush-toilet;

wherein said built-in toilet further comprises a controller for controlling flushing functions of said built-in toilet;

wherein said dispenser is integral to said built-in toilet;

wherein said dispenser comprises a substantially similar profile to said roll of toilet-paper, said dispenser providing a housing for said roll of toilet-paper when inserted therein;

wherein said roll of toilet-paper is able to rotate within said housing of said dispenser;

wherein said water-inlet is configured to supply clean water therethrough to a bowl of said built-in toilet from a water source;

wherein said water-outlet is configured to act as a means for drainage of wastewater from said bowl of said built-in toilet;

wherein said built-in toilet is stationary;

wherein said built-in toilet is non-removeable;

wherein said built-in toilet further comprises a hinged lid;

wherein said cover provides a canopy over said roll of toilet-paper configured within said dispenser;

wherein said cover comprises a water-resistant material;

wherein said water-resistant material is metal;

wherein said cover is moveable and provides access to said roll of toilet-paper within said dispenser;
