Abstract

A carrying case for a smart phone that can be placed on the back. The attached straps will keep the case in place while the person is performing any type of physical activity. The straps secure the backpack to the waist as well as to the shoulders.

  • This application claims priority to and benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/421,875 filed Nov. 14, 2016. The entire specification that is expressly incorporated by reference.
  • FIELD OF INVENTION
  • This invention relates generally to a case for carrying a smart phone. It has been developed mainly for carrying a smart phone while exercising.
  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • Smart phones used in many different contexts today. Some of these contexts include walking, jogging, and other forms of physical activity either inside or outside.
  • The users do have many options to carry their devices while exercising. Most carrying cases either attached to arm, ankle, wrist or waist. This invention would get the option is carrying the device on the back in a secure way.
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • A carrying case, that can be placed on the back, consisting of a pouch, several straps, and a flap with a Velcro closure. This case will protect a smart phone or other items from shifting around while a person is preforming any type of physical activity. The intention is to move the items to a location that will not only keep the items safe but to keep them out of the way while performing the activity.
  • The pouch is large enough to fit several styles of smart phones. The attached straps for the shoulders and abdominal area can be tighten or loosen as necessary to fit several body types. The flap with Velcro closure will help secure the item placed in the pouch stays in place. The included drawing gives a description of size of the pouch to attach as well as the placement of the straps.

  • FIG. 1 depicts the front plan view of the invention.
  • FIG. 2 depicts the bottom view of the invention.
  • FIG. 3 depicts the side view of the invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • FIG. 1 illustrates the front of the invention. It depicts a backboard, comprised of two pieces of material sewn together, to which a wide, deep pocket is attached. There are two polyester adjustable straps that are attached to the backboard via machine stitching. These straps contain two ‘D’ rings that attaches at the bottom to assist in making the shoulder straps adjustable.
  • FIG. 2 is a view of the bottom of the invention. It is shown to be in the center of the backboard and curves out. This includes two openings in the bottom to allow access to headphone jack on the device as well as prevent the device from falling out.
  • FIG. 3 depicts a side view of the invention. This view show the lid that is closed by Velcro to keep the devise in place and prevent it from falling out of the pocket while preforming any activity.
  • In order to provide a finished look to the pocket, it is attached to the backboard using a method whereby the material of the pocket is tucked in and is machine sewn to the backboard.
  • As seen in FIG. 1, a ‘D’ is used on the shoulder straps to assist with making the strap adjustable.

Claims (11)

1. A carrying case for a smart phone, comprising:
a pocket attached to a backboard which has an opening to make the phone accessible; and
a lid with Velcro closure to keep the phone in place yet accessible when needed; and
two straps attached at the top and bottom of the backboard.
2. The case set forth in claim 1, the backboard will be made out of two pieces of material, the preference is leather. These pieces will be sewn together to create a stiff holder.
3. The case set forth in claim 2, can contain other material then the preferred but any modifications to create a stiff back are included.
4. The case set forth in claim 3, will includes straps, made of material, preference being polyester but any material type can be used.
5. The case set forth in claim 4, will have clips that will allow sliding for adjusting the straps to fit any size shoulder.
6. The case set forth in claim 5, will use a ‘D’ ring to attach the bottom straps with top straps being attached to backboard when sewing the two pieces of material together.
7. The case set forth in claim 6, will contain a clip to hold a waist strap together. Said strap will be adjustable.
8. The case set forth in claim 1, will have a pocket for the smart phone device attached to the backboard allowing for an opening on each side of the bottom attachment.
9. The case set forth in claim 8, will have a pocket with Velcro on it to secure the lid and protect smart phone from falling out of pocket.
10. The case set forth in claim 8, will have a lid attached to the attached to the backboard.
11. The case set forth in claim 10, will have a lid with Velcro on it to secure it to pocket.
