    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • The present application is related to and claims priority from prior provisional application Ser. No. 62478001, filed Mar. 28, 2017 which application is incorporated herein by reference.
  • COPYRIGHT NOTICE
  • A portion of the disclosure of this patent document contains material which is subject to copyright protection. • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention(s). It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art, or material, to the presently described or claimed inventions, or that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates generally to the field of bedding sets and more specifically relates to an improved bedding apparatus structured and arranged having built in pillows and an integrally attached bedspread/comforter to facilitate the process of making one's bed, as well as provide a practical means of preventing bed sheets, blankets, and pillows from becoming untucked and falling off the bed during the night.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • The perfect end to any day is a good night's sleep. An essential aspect of every human's life, a peaceful, full rest enables one to feel energetic and alert throughout the day. Although a person can fall asleep almost anywhere; lying on the couch watching television, reclining in an easy chair with a good book, during a boring movie, or even while riding in a car, by far the most comfortable and, of course, obvious area in which to sleep is a bed. Consisting of a comfy mattress and fluffy, soft pillows and covered in silky sheets and warm blankets, it is little wonder that a person's bed can be their haven.
  • While there is little dispute that a warm bed can be a peaceful refuge at the end of a hectic day, actually making one's bed can be a hassle. Specifically, re-tucking sheets and covers which have pulled loose during the night can be a time consuming and daunting task. As most people periodically roll over, toss or turn while sleeping, their sheets and blankets almost invariably become untucked. Requiring the homemaker to untangle and untwist the bedding, simply in order to make the bed, this task can be especially frustrating when making queen or king size beds, as the very size of the mattress can make the process of applying the bedding awkward and difficult—especially if one is applying this bedding unassisted.
  • Various attempts have been made to solve problems found in bedding sets art. Among these are found in: U.S. Publication No. 2009/0205133 to Annie L. Thomas; U.S. Patent Publication No. 2008/0104751 to Laurel Friedland; and U.S. Patent Publication No. 2007/0067909 to Gary W. Lampkins. This prior art is representative of sewn-together sheet sets and comforters for ease of assembly and comfort for sleeping.
  • Ideally, an improved bedding apparatus should be user-friendly and safe in-use and yet should operate reliably and be manufactured at a modest expense. Thus, a need exists for an improved bedding apparatus structured and arranged having built in pillows and an integrally attached bedspread/comforter to facilitate the process of making one's bed, as well as provide a practical means of preventing bed sheets, blankets, and pillows from becoming untucked and falling off the bed during the night and to avoid the above-mentioned problems.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known bedding sets art, the present invention provides an Improved Bedding Apparatus. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail is to provide an improved bedding apparatus structured and arranged having built in pillows and an integrally attached bedspread/comforter to facilitate the process of making one's bed, as well as provide a practical means of preventing bed sheets, blankets, and pillows from becoming untucked and falling off the bed during the night.

  • The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • As discussed above, embodiments of the present invention relate to bedding sets and more specifically relates to an improved bedding apparatus structured and arranged having built in pillows and an integrally attached bedspread/comforter to facilitate the process of making one's bed, as well as provide a practical means of preventing bed sheets, blankets, and pillows from becoming untucked and falling off the bed during the night.
  • Generally speaking, the Improved Bedding Apparatus comprises a specially designed line of fitted bed sheets smartly augmented with a bedspread or comforter sewn directly onto the material.
  • Made available in the standard bed sizes of twin, full, queen, and king, the Improved Bedding Apparatus sheets would contain a ring of stretchable elastic or Spandex around its perimeter to securely fit around the above bed sizes. Stylish, soft, and cushiony comforters/bedspreads would be integrally attached to the sheets. Material possibilities are virtually limitless, including but not limited to cotton, flannel, satin, jersey knit, and silk, just to name a few of the many options. Regardless of material, each Improved Bedding Apparatus combination would contain a zipper assembly along the outer sides of the bedding, as well as a zipper down the center between the top sheet and the comforter material (two zippers, one which allows the side to be rolled down, and one below to allow for slack and an adjustably looser fit). The zippers down the middle would be hidden below pleated material. As such, one need only fit the sheet to the mattress and smooth out the comforter across the top of the bed. Unzipping the material, the user would slip between the two covers, with the comforter enveloping them in warmth and the fitted sheet remaining firmly in place.
  • Upon waking, the user would slide out from the Improved Bedding Apparatus, zip up the comforter, and voila! The bed is instantly made. The inventor has also noted that this line would feature a series of zippered pockets along its sides for housing personal items such as books, magazines, keys, wallets, and medications. In addition, the Improved Bedding Apparatus would also feature built in pillows. In this manner, the pillows would stay put through the night as well. Attractive as well as functional, all options in the Improved Bedding Apparatus could be produced in a wide variety of colors and styles to appeal to individual tastes, or to match the decor of any bedroom.
  • Created with optimal convenience in mind for the consumer, the Improved Bedding Apparatus would handily simplify the making of one's bed, while also keeping bedding and pillows in place throughout the night. Neatly securing both the top sheet and the bedspread together, use of the easily applied Improved Bedding Apparatus would transform the once dreaded chore of making the bed into a fast and fun endeavor. Neatly and snugly holding bedding in place, the Improved Bedding Apparatus would eliminate the hassle associated making one's bed on a daily basis. Also, those who may experience physical limitations should especially benefit from this product. And, the incorporation of zippered pockets would reduce bedroom clutter, neatly tucking away personal items that are typically scattered over the surfaces of night stands. Perfect for home use, the Improved Bedding Apparatus would also prove a valuable accessory for hotels, hospitals and similar establishments.
