Abstract

A trouser with longitudinal evaporative cooling inseam panel is disclosed. The invention is comprised of a pair of form-fitting jeans having a permeable, textile panel strip running along the entire said inseam—from a user's ankle to a user's crotch and back down again to the distal ankle. An objective of the invention is to provide a thermal vent allowing for a plurality of personal hygiene improvements, including but not limited to, enhanced evaporative cooling of the skin during hot conditions; enhanced cooling of the thigh and calf muscles; minimizing friction and chafing of the upper thighs; and allowing for air exchange within the groin region leading to an overall improvement in comfort.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention generally relates to trousers, more specifically—to enhanced methods of denim jean venting.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Jeans, also known as ‘blue jeans,’ ‘dungarees’ and ‘denim jeans’ have been in existence since the late 1800's. They were initially developed for cowboys and miners due to their heavy durability. Jeans became increasingly popular with teenagers in the 1950s and today remain a popular fashion item. Recent designs have incorporated various aesthetic characteristics such as stonewashed, form-fitting and distressed looks. While many aesthetics have changed, little has been done to improve overheating and discomfort associated with wearing such heavy material in warm weather.
  • Many in the textile industry have begun offering trousers with various ventilation options for the lower extremities. U.S. Pat. No. 4,619,004 granted to Lee disclosed a trouser groin area ventilation comprised of small aperture grommets. WIPO Patent No. 2012058721A1 granted to Craig disclosed a trouser goin area ventilation comprised of a mesh screen. Chinese Patent No. 103300499 granted to Llzhi, disclosed a goin area having a breathable part therein. U.S. Pat. No. 6,332,221B1 granted to Gracey disclosed jogging pants having mesh material at the groin and calf areas to facilitate cooling. WIPO Patent No. 2003065833A1 granted to Lambertz disclosed a full-body under suit that incorporated cooling panels at the inner and outer seams of the legs. U.S. Pat. No. 5,636,380A granted to Duncan disclosed slacks made entirely of permeable Coolmax® fabric. While many of these inventions provide ways to ventilate a user's legs, none have been found in the prior art that ventilate form-fitting jeans along the entire inseam of the inner legs.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An objective of the aforementioned invention is to provide a pair of form-fitting jeans with a longitudinal, evaporative cooling, inseam panel along the entire inside of the legs and lower groin areas.
  • Another objective of the aforementioned invention is to enhance comfort while wearing jeans in hot, humid conditions.
  • Another objective of the aforementioned invention is to provide cooling to the vastus and adductor thigh muscles and the gastrocnemius and soleus calf muscles.
  • Another objective of the invention is to minimize friction and chafing of the inner thighs.
  • Another objective of the invention is to increase air exchange within the groin region to minimize unwanted odors.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • For the purpose of illustrating the invention, the drawings show a form of the invention which is presently preferred. However, it should be understood that this invention is not limited to the precise arrangements and instrumentalities shown in the drawings.
  • FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a rear perspective view of the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is a side perspective of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Embodiments and examples are described below with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details in the form of examples are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the various embodiments. It will be evident, however, that these specific details are not necessary to the practice of such embodiments. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate description of the various embodiments. Reference throughout this specification to “one embodiment,” or “an embodiment,” means that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment is included in at least one embodiment. Thus, the appearances of the phrase “in one embodiment,” or “in an embodiment,” in various places throughout this specification are not necessarily all referring to the same embodiment. Furthermore, the particular features, structures, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments.
  • Referring now to the drawings wherein like reference characters identify corresponding or similar elements throughout the several views, FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view of one embodiment according to the present invention having jeans 1 with inseam 2 connected to a permeable, breathable, flexible and frictionless membrane panel 3 comprised of, but not limited to, Coolmax® and the like. Said panel 3 being configured along the longitudinal axis of said pant leg and extending continuously from the inner ankle, upwards along the inside of the leg and including the groin region and back down to the ankle of the distal pant leg. Said panel material also having a plurality of design patterns such as, but not limited to, paisley, plaid and tartan etc.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates a side perspective view of the present invention with trousers 1 being comprised of a form-fitting denim material.
  • Although the disclosure has been shown and described with respect to one or more implementations, equivalent alterations and modifications will occur to others skilled in the art based upon a reading and understanding of this specification and the annexed drawings. The disclosure includes all such modifications and alterations and is limited only by the scope of the following claims. In particular regard to the various functions performed by the above described components (e.g., elements, resources, etc.), the terms used to describe such components are intended to correspond, unless otherwise indicated, to any component which performs the specified function of the described component (e.g., that is functionally equivalent), even though not structurally equivalent to the disclosed structure which performs the function in the herein illustrated exemplary implementations of the disclosure.
