Definitions

  • This invention relates to hair drying towels and particularly ones that are a single piece and designed to reduce hair ‘frizz’.
  • the current hair drying accessory market is dominated by blow driers and towels. This industry is currently dominated by “Turbie Twist” style products. Wet hair is put in the wrap, and the end is secured onto the base of the wrap. These are hair wraps made of terry cloth cotton. The wrap absorbs water and holds hair in place. This increases rate of drying and allows the user to be less constrained while waiting for hair to dry. The terry cloth breaks up the hair follicle and can make the hair fuzzy no matter how much high end product you are using to de-fuzz your hair.

Abstract

The current invention are towels that are designed to wrap up wet hair, to control and assist in drying wet hair. It is a Birds Eye Organic cotton fabric cut to taper. The wide end is rounded, to be placed on the back of the head, and hair will end near the tapering end. The tapering fabric is twisted and secured in place over the user's head. • The wrap will be made of Birds Eye Organic cotton. This feature will protect hair from follicle damage that can be caused by the terry cloth knit of other towels.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Without restricting the full scope of this invention, the preferred form of this invention is illustrated in the following drawings:
  • FIG. 1 shows the hair towel lying flat on a side;
  • FIG. 2 shows the hair towel from the side, propped up and showing the tapered end twisted;
  • FIG. 3 shows the hair towel from the broad end, propped up and showing the tapered end twisted;
  • FIG. 4 shows the hair towel in use from the front;
  • FIG. 5 shows the hair towel in use from the side; and
  • FIG. 6 shows the hair towel in use from above.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • The current invention is a hair towel wrap 1 that wrap up and secure hair on top of the user's head while hair dries.
  • The wrap 1 would taper, being widest at the end that wraps around the head and tapering to end that holds the length of hair as shown in FIGS. 1 through 3. The preferred embodiment would taper into a curved end, but the end could be pointed. The wrap 1 would absorb moisture from the hair, drying hair more rapidly than regular air drying.
  • The preferred embodiment would be a single piece which wraps in a manner to be secure. Alternative options would include the base 10 having a loop 20 on the side that the end of the wrap 1 is twisted and secures into, or having a loop and button system. The wrap 1 is a twist and loop hair towel with a tapered design with two sides with an opening on the bottom with a closed top with a 30 in×56 in (76 cm×142 cm)” dimension in the preferred embodiment. This provides a proper fit for all head sizes. The head with wet hair is placed into the opening and the wrap 1 is wrapped around the head.
  • The wrap 1 will be made of Birds Eye Organic cotton. This feature will protect hair from follicle damage that can be caused by the terry cloth knit of other towels. Birds Eye Organic cotton is a cotton fabric is a cloth that is light as well as incredibly soft and durable.
  • Advantages
  • The innovative hair towel reduces hair frizz due to damaged compared to other hair towels. Other hair towels use the terry knit that is common to towels. This Birds Eye Organic cotton would not have a terry knit, will reduce follicle damage, and result in less frizzy, more manageable hair. The one-piece design would be a more durable unit, without worry of breaking loops or buttons.
