Description

Hair band
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a hair band in general, and more particularly, to an improved hair band for restraining and securing a user's hair, thereby ensuring that the user's hair is secured in place so as not to interfere with the user's activities. In addition, the improved hair band can effectively wring out wet hair of a user and prevent the hair from being damaged. The improved hair band may also serve as a hair accessory or decorative function.
Background
Hair bands are a well known product. Typically, the user will wear a hair band over the hair or around the forehead, securing the user's hair in place, maintaining the hairstyle so that it does not interfere with the user's activities. For example, to ensure that the user's hair does not obstruct the face or vision or interfere with activities being attended or performed. For example, U.S. patent No. 6,560,783 describes a hair band that restrains the forehead and the hair covering the face. Us 1,146,934 discloses a hair binder which is easy to remove and which can be tightly bound to the hair to hold it in place.
Users (typically women or long-haired persons) often need to dry their hair after shampooing, dyeing, etc. They often use commercial hair dryers to dry their hair. People with thick or thin hair often experience problems when blowing their hair with an electric blower. Many times, hair is burned when exposed to excessive heat or hot air from a hair dryer, the wind blows on the face when hair is blown, and when hot air blows on the face, the skin is dried, and so on. In addition, when drying hair using a hair dryer, the user has a limited range of head movement (particularly round commercial hair dryers used in barbershops). In addition to these disadvantages, electricity is required for using such a blower or for maintenance, which increases the cost burden on the user. If the hair is dried with a hair dryer, the natural oils on the hair gradually diminish, causing the hair to become frizzy and brittle, thereby accelerating hair loss. Drying wet hair by heat also results in split ends and thus more prone to hair breakage. The use of a hair dryer in the early morning or late night can also cause noise. Some experts recommend drying hair using low temperatures, however, this may also lead to some health problems, or hair related problems, due to the wet scalp being exposed to relatively cool air.
Many efforts have been made before to control the effect of the hot air of the hair dryer, but the proposed solutions still do not avoid the drawbacks of using traditional hot hair dryers. For example, the protection device shown in U.S. patent No. 2,290,455 is installed on a hood of a hot air blower, thereby protecting a user's face and eyes from hot air, and adjusting a drying temperature and reducing a drying time. U.S. patent No. 1,796,384 is a commercial blower designed to overcome the problem of rapid rotational air flow at the discharge end of a conventional blower when set at a vacuum. U.S. patent No. 1543423 is directed to a hair dryer, and more particularly to a novel housing or hood for hair that allows warm air from a hair dryer to effectively circulate around and within the hair and then exit from both sides of the hair. Us patent 1,907,215 discloses a fan cover for hot air drying device, which is adapted to be used around hair and has good air permeability, so that warm air forced downward around the head can be emitted from all directions around the hair through the fan cover.
In addition, there is a traditional method of drying hair, primarily at home, using a towel to dry damp hair. In this method, long-haired women will tightly wrap their hair with a towel until they are dry enough to be styled or exposed. This drying method is time-consuming. Furthermore, this method is only effective in drying the outer hairs, while the inner hairs remain wet, which may cause the scalp to become wet by constant contact with moisture, thus causing scalp or skin problems, such as dandruff, and even hair loss, especially in children and older women. And the wrapping of hair can make the user very inconvenient to move. Rubbing the hair with a towel can damage the hair, aggravate the frizziness, and lead to hair breakage, deterioration, and split ends. Wet hair breaks more easily than dry hair. Another major problem is that wrapping wet hair with a towel that was not originally designed for this purpose may cause the towel to loosen and fall off over time. Also, those who generally use this method know that they cannot move freely if the towel is wrapped loosely around their head. Furthermore, we do not suggest that the user move around with the towel, as this makes the user look unsightly. The user may therefore choose to stay at home until the hair is sufficiently dry, or to leave the home wet.
Previously, it has been found that users can use different types of hair bands as ornaments, which can be incorporated with different ribbons, fabrics, hairpins, etc. in addition to restraining and fixing hair, and thus can be used as hair accessories. For example, U.S. patent No. 9,265,323 is a decorative hair band with detachable decorative ribbon sections and other accessories. In addition to this, there are many prior arts. For example, in U.S. patent No. 8,919,354, a hair band with one or more decorative features is provided with magnetic properties that can be attached to other hair bands.
In view of the foregoing background, the inventors herein propose a multi-functional improved hair band that can be used to secure and restrain hair, thereby ensuring that the user's hair is properly positioned so as not to interfere with the user's actions. Furthermore, the utility model provides an use natural air to weather reliable solution of hair. The utility model also relates to a hair band which can be used as a hair accessory, thereby leading the appearance of the wearer to be more colorful.

In an embodiment, the endless belt portion 102 may comprise an extended strip of fabric material 102h having two opposite ends interconnected with two opposite ends of the elastic portion 102i (as shown in fig. 3). In another embodiment, the endless belt portion 102 may be wrapped with an extended strip of fabric material. The web material comprises an elastic portion carried by an endless belt, with two opposite ends of the fabric extension belt being interconnected (as shown in figure 1). According to various embodiments, the extended strip of fabric material may comprise a single layer of fabric or a plurality of layers of fabric. Figure 2 particularly illustrates the use of a double layer fabric. The multiple layers of fabric may be of the same type or different types of fabric materials. In another embodiment, the annular band portion 102 may comprise an elongate band of elastic material with opposite ends of the extension attached to one another (perhaps similar to FIG. 1). In addition, according to various embodiments, the band portion 102 may be configured to have a decorative effect by attaching a knot or bow tie or the like to the band. The knot or bow may be made of the same or different fabric material (e.g., a separate attachment) as the band portion 102. In addition, in some other embodiments, the band portion 102 may contain one or more exterior trim pieces. The one or more external decorative pieces may include, but are not limited to, buttons, beads, sequins, or any other decorative piece or combination thereof. Although some possible configurations for the band portion 102 are discussed in fig. 1-3, other embodiments or variations are possible.
Referring to fig. 1 through 3 in conjunction with fig. 4 and 5, the hair band 100 further includes a plurality of extensions 104 having a predetermined shape and length and attached to the band portion 102 and extending from the band portion 102. The plurality of extensions 104 are made of various suitable fabrics and have water-absorbing properties, such that after passing deep through wet hair 202 of a user 200 (see fig. 17), the extensions 104 absorb water or moisture from the wet hair 202, thereby drying the hair. The present invention is not limited to a specific water-absorbent textile material, but encompasses any kind of water-absorbent material.
According to one embodiment, each extension 104 is a flat, substantially rectangular portion with opposite ends 104a and 104b, as shown in FIG. 6. The length and width of each extension 104 may be uniform or non-uniform depending on a variety of factors including design requirements, thickness of the user's hair, and the style of the hair. The two opposing ends 104a and 104b of each extension 104 may or may not be edge sealed. The manner in which these extensions 104 are made can be understood with reference to fig. 7. According to one embodiment, a rectangular piece of fabric (preferably having a length L longer than a width W) is cut longitudinally into extensions 104 (having a length shorter than L), with all of the extensions 104 sharing a common attachment base 110. In another embodiment, a rectangular piece of fabric may be cut longitudinally into separate extensions 104 (length equal to L) as shown in FIG. 6. Once the extensions 104 are formed into the finished product as shown in FIG. 6 or FIG. 7, these extensions 104 may be attached to the looped band portion 102 of the hair band 100. In one embodiment, the extension 104 may be sewn or affixed directly under the top 102a of the band portion 102 (on the bottom layer 102e), as shown in phantom in fig. 5 or 13. In another embodiment, one end of the extension portion 104 may be inserted between the top layer 102d and the bottom layer 102e of the band portion 102, and further, sewn or attached to at least one side of the band portion 102 in a circumferential manner, as shown in fig. 4 or 12. In fig. 4, the sewing line 102C is a broken line. In use of the hair band 100, the extensions 104 may be passed into the wet hair 202 of the user 200, through the wet hair 202, dried and wrung out, as shown in fig. 15-17.
Fig. 8-11 illustrate an alternative form of extension 104 and a process for making the same, which are substantially tubular and may be attached to the looped band portion 102 of the headband 100, as described above with respect to fig. 4 and 5 or fig. 12 and 13. As shown, the extension shown according to this embodiment may be made of a fabric 104c having dimensions (assuming length a and width B). The first step, as shown in FIG. 8, is along the length of the web 104 and the location of the medial fold line 104 d. Next, the fabric 104 is folded along a folding line 104d, and two openings (one third) of the folded fabric 104, one in the longitudinal direction and one in the transverse direction, are closed (preferably by sewing 104e), as shown in fig. 9. The sewn and folded fabric 104 is then turned over to form a bag-like or tubular structure (referred to as a tubular extension in the present disclosure) as shown in fig. 10. Subsequently, the insert 104f is secured within the tubular extension 104. As shown in fig. 11, the insert 104f is pushed into the cavity of the tubular extension 104, and both ends thereof are fixed in the tubular extension 104 by sewing or bonding. In some other embodiments, insert 104f may be secured at one end within tubular extension 104 while the other end may be left idle, and then annular band portion 102 may be sewn straight over, thereby securing insert 104f at the other end. According to the illustrated embodiment, the insert 104f may be metal, plastic, or any other material that may or may not be bendable in nature. After the extensions 104 of the band insert 104f are prepared, these extensions 104 are attached/sewn directly to the bottom of the top 102a of the hair band portion 102 or between the top and bottom fabric layers 102d, 102e of the looped band portion 102, as shown in fig. 4 and 5 (or fig. 12 and 13). The length of each extension 104 may or may not be uniform, depending on the design requirements of the user 200, including hair thickness and style.
According to this embodiment, the extension 104 of the hair band 100 can be provided with more decorative pieces 106, so that the hair band 100 looks elegant (to the public). In examples, the trim piece 106 may be sewn to the extension portion 104, or glued directly to the extension portion 104, or attached using other methods. 106 the trim piece may include, but is not limited to, a knot, a ribbon, a button, a bead, a sequin, or any other trim piece or any combination thereof. The selected trim piece 106 may be attached to the extension portion or even to the band portion 102.
Fig. 12 and 13 are cross-sectional side views of a hair band with the extension 104 of fig. 11 or fig. 4. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 12, the tubular extension 104 and the insert (not shown) or common extension are shown in FIG. 4, which can be inserted between and sewn together with the top layer 102d and the bottom layer 102 e. The extension portion 104 may be sewn with the band portion 102 with a single thread or multiple threads. Extension 104 is attached to the underside of the top 102a of band portion 102, which is placed on the head of user 200. The tubular extension 104 is shown in greater detail in fig. 8-11, and the extension 104 is attached to the annular band 102 so as to be closed on four sides. With the hair band 100 on, the user 200 can insert these extensions into the wet hair strand 202 and then wring the wet hair strand 202 to effectively dry the wet hair, as shown in fig. 17. The extension 104 twists, twists and rolls with the aid of an insert 104f in the extension 104. Further, as shown in fig. 13, the extension 104 (the tubular extension 104 or the general extension 104 in fig. 4) may be seamed or attached directly below the top 102a (at the bottom layer 102e) of the endless belt 102.
FIG. 14 is a top view of an extension 104 of hair band 100 attached to a band portion 102; the tubular extension 104 may be attached to the band portion 102 in a manner similar to that described above with reference to fig. 4-5 and 12-13.
Fig. 15-16 are cross-sectional views of a band portion 102 of a hair band 100 and an extension 104 attached to the band, the extension differing according to different embodiments. As shown in fig. 4-5 and 12-13, the extension 104 may be sewn to the top two layers 102d and 102e of the top 102 a. After wearing the hair band 100, the user 200 can insert the extensions 104 into the wet hair strands 202 and then wring the wet hair strands 202 to effectively dry the wet hair, as shown in fig. 17.
Fig. 18 to 19 show an example in which the extension 104 penetrates deeply into the user's wet hair when the hair band 100 of the present invention is used. Fig. 18 particularly shows an example in which the user 200 wears the hair band 100. First, the user 200 first wears the hair band 100 on his/her head, and the band portion 102 wraps around the head of the user 200 and tightly wraps around the head, thereby restraining and securing the user's wet hair to ensure that the user's hair is secured in place without interfering with the user's activities (or blocking the user's view). The band portion 102 is preferably an elastic material sized to fit a variety of head types. The band portion 102 is worn on the head with the extension shown extending to the rear or rear of the head over the wet hair 202 of the user 200. The user 200 may then insert or guide the extensions 104 into the hair with his/her fingers or hands, as shown in fig. 19. Since the extension 104 of the present invention is made of a waterproof material, the extension 104 can suck/absorb water on the hair, and then dry and remove the sucked water. The above steps are repeated on the hair 202 until the wet hair exhibits a good effect other than natural drying. Different from the prior art, the utility model provides a hair band and relevant step can make the hair dry naturally to frizzy, fracture and the forked risk of hair have greatly been avoided.
The hair band of fig. 20 is substantially the same as that of fig. 18, with an annular band portion 102, in combination with a button 103, for decorative purposes in terms of aesthetic design. The extension 104 is similar to that shown in figures 1 to 19.
The hair band of fig. 21 is substantially the same as that of fig. 18, with an annular band portion 102, in combination with a knot 103 for aesthetic design purposes, for decorative purposes. The knot may be made of the same or different fabric material as the band portion 102. The extension 104 may be similar to that shown in fig. 1-19, as described above, with various spangles 106 attached to the extension 104 for decorative purposes. The sequins 106 may be sewn or glued to the extension 104. Although the extended portion is shown as a paillette 106 in fig. 21, it should be understood that this portion may be any other decorative article or a portion formed by combining such articles. Furthermore, the hair band proposed in fig. 22 is essentially the same as that of fig. 21, with the band portion 102 being flat and smooth, without any knots 103.
The hair band set forth in fig. 23 is essentially the same as that of fig. 18, with the extension 104 connected to various hangers 106 and attached to the extension 104 for decorative purposes. Decorative hangers 106 may be sewn or glued to the extension 104 in all directions along the length of the extension 104.
The hair band of fig. 24 is substantially the same as that of fig. 18, with an annular band portion 102, in combination with a bow tie 103, for aesthetic purposes. The ribbon 103 may be made of the same or different fabric material as the band portion 102 and attached to the band 102.
Although discussed above, the hair band set forth above may also be used with a hair dryer, using extensions 104 when in contact with the hair dryer ensures that the hair is supported and does not loosen, and also leaves the hair free of frizzy feel after it has been dried by the hot and cold air of the hair dryer. The use of the proposed hair band and the hair dryer at the same time even speeds up the drying process.
It is noted that the hair band can be used to make wet hair more tidy and can be worn by users in beach, swimming pool, hydrotherapy or make-up.
Moreover, the proposed hair band can be made of various absorbent fabrics (commercially available) specifically for the extension 104. This increases the likelihood of wringing out hair and allows air to circulate between the wetted hair. The drying properties of the proposed hair band also avoid dripping of water from the hair on the floor or on the clothing of the user.
Although specific embodiments of the invention have been described herein in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and extensions may be made without departing from the attitude and scope of the invention.
