Description
- The instant disclosure relates to a kerchief; more particularly, to a kerchief with two opening portions distinct from each other.
- There are various kinds of prior art multi-functional kerchiefs. Multi-functional kerchiefs can be wrapped over the forehead or the neck. Chinese patent CN202218626 discloses: a tubular elastic band applicable to a variety of people for different purposes, the tubular elastic band being multifunctional in a way that it can serve as a hair band, wrist band, or a neck scarf; in practice, the tubular elastic band can be wrapped directly around the head as a kerchief, and can be folded to form a hair band, a wristband, or a neck scarf. The elasticity of the tubular elastic band enables itself to fit different needs and to provide various alternative usage options; in addition, the elasticity makes the tubular elastic band comfortable to wear.
- However, the multi-functional kerchief described above cannot provide the users with various wrapping styles. In other words, only by changing the color of the multi-functional kerchief can the multi-functional kerchief provide an alternative look for the users.
- Therefore, it is an important issue in the instant art to provide a kerchief structure to overcome the aforementioned shortcomings.
- The object of the instant disclosure is to provide a kerchief that overcomes the shortcomings of prior art kerchiefs.
- In order to achieve the aforementioned objects, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a kerchief of the instant disclosure is characterized in that the kerchief comprises a first structural layer, a second structural layer, a first opening portion, and a second opening portion. The first structural layer surrounds a wrapping space. The second structural layer is connected to the first structural layer, the second structural layer surrounding the first structural layer and the wrapping space, wherein the first structural layer and the second structural layer are layered together. The first opening portion communicates with the wrapping space. The second opening portion communicates with the wrapping space. The first opening portion and the second opening portion communicate with each other through the wrapping space. The size of the first opening portion is larger than that of the second opening portion.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, a gap exists between the first structural layer and the second structural layer.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, the first structural layer and the second structural layer are made of an elastic fabric.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, the first structural layer and the second structural layer constitute a tubular body, the tubular body includes a first corner point, a second corner point corresponding to the first corner point, a third corner point, a fourth corner point corresponding to the third corner point, a first opening end and a second opening end, wherein the first corner point and the second corner point are located at the first opening end, and the third corner point and the fourth corner point are located at the second opening end.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, the first corner point and the fourth corner point coincide.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, the first structural layer and the second structural layer constitute a tubular body, the tubular body including a first opening end and a second opening end corresponding to the first opening end, the first opening end and the second opening end being offset and connected to each other to form the first opening portion.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, the tubular body is an integrally-formed structure.
- According to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, the second opening portion includes a twist structure.
- In summary, the instant disclosure is advantageous in that, with the technical features that the first opening portion M1 has a size larger than that of the second opening portion M2, and that the second opening portion M2 includes a twist structure, the kerchief Q provides users with different kerchief wrapping styles.

FIG. 9 , which shows a perspective view of the kerchief according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The instant disclosure provides a kerchief Q that is made of an elastic fabric. Depending on how the kerchief Q is worn, the kerchief Q serves as a cap, a scarf, a mask, or a hair band. Specifically, the kerchief Q is made by sewing the edges of a main body 1 (e.g. an elastic fabric) together in a specific manner. However, the instant disclosure is not limited to this. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure is described in detail below so as to specifically explain the structural features of the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. - Please refer to
FIG. 1 , which shows a perspective view of a kerchief according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure includes a step 1: proving an elasticmain body 1. Specifically, themain body 1 can be an elastic fabric, wherein themain body 1 includes afirst side 11, asecond side 12 corresponding to thefirst side 11. In addition, themain body 1 further includes afirst surface 13 and asecond surface 14 corresponding to thefirst surface 13. Next, please refer toFIG. 2 , which shows a perspective view of the tubular body of the kerchief according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure further includes a step 2: connecting thefirst side 11 and thesecond side 12. Specifically, thefirst side 11 and thesecond side 12 of themain body 1 can be sewn together using a sewing machine in such a manner that themain body 1 forms atubular body 1′. This way, thetubular body 1′ can have a first opening end S, a second opening end S2 corresponding to the first opening end S1, and an enclosed space S is encircled by themain body 1. In addition, thefirst surface 13 and thesecond surface 14 of themain body 1 form the inner surface and the outer surface of thetubular body 1′ respectively. - It is noted that the
tubular body 1′ formed bystep 2 can also be formed by other methods. The instant disclosure is not limited to this. For instance, thetubular body 1′ can be integrally knitted using a knitting machine. It is worth mentioning that prior art multi-functional kerchiefs, e.g. the aforementioned Chinese patent CN 202218626, have structures similar to the structure shown inFIG. 2 . - Please refer to
FIG. 3 , which shows a perspective view of the kerchief according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The method of manufacturing the kerchief Q characterized by being able to provide different kerchief wrapping styles is furthered explained below. First, thetubular body 1′ is laid flat to form a quadrilateral shape. Preferably, thetubular body 1′ is laid flat to form a rectangular shape. The laid flattubular body 1′ includes afirst corner point 15, asecond corner point 16 corresponding to thefirst corner point 15, athird corner point 17, and afourth corner point 18 corresponding to thethird corner point 17. Specifically, thefirst corner point 15 and thesecond corner point 16 are located at or near the first opening end S1, and thefirst corner point 15 and thesecond corner point 16 are opposite to each other. In other words, the fabric section between thefirst corner point 15 and thethird corner point 17 is flat, and the fabric section between thesecond corner point 16 and thefourth corner point 18 is flat. - Please refer to
FIG. 4 andFIG. 5 , in whichFIG. 4 shows a perspective view of the kerchief folded along a fold line according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, andFIG. 5 shows a top view of the kerchief folded along a fold line according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure further includes a step 3: folding thetubular body 1′ along a fold line T1 or a fold line T2 as shown inFIG. 3 . Specifically, the fold line T1 is the diagonal of the aforementioned quadrilateral joining thesecond corner point 16 and thethird corner point 17.FIG. 4 shows the kerchief Q after thetubular body 1′ is folded along the fold line T1. It should be noted that thetubular body 1′ can also be folded along the fold line T2, that is to say, the instant disclosure is not limited by the position of the fold line as long as the kerchief is folded such that the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 are offset with respect to each other. - Please refer to
FIG. 6 , which shows a lateral view of the kerchief with the first corner point and the fourth corner point coinciding according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure further includes a step 4: pulling thefirst corner point 15 and thefourth corner point 18 together. Specifically, the maker of the kerchief Q can pull thefirst corner point 15 and thefourth corner point 18 together, and pull thesecond corner point 16 and thethird corner point 16 together. Next, please refer toFIG. 7 , which shows a top view of the kerchief with the first opening end and the second opening end being sewn together according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure further includes a step 5: connecting the edge of the first opening end S1 and the edge the second opening end S2. Specifically, after pulling thefirst corner point 15 and thefourth corner point 18 together, and pulling thesecond corner point 16 and thethird corner point 17 together, the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 are sewn along the edges of the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 such that a suture E is formed as shown inFIG. 8 . Since thefirst surface 13 and thesecond surface 14 may have different patterns, or since the sewn together edges of the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 may have inferior appearance due the stiches, a section F of the edges can be left unsewn when sewing the edges of the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 so that thefirst surface 13 can be turned inside out through the section F during the rest of the manufacturing process. - Via step 4 and step 5, the
first corner point 15 coincides with thefourth corner point 18, and thesecond corner point 16 coincides with thethird corner point 17, and the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 are sewn together. - Furthermore, it should be noted that step 3, in which the
tubular body 1′ is laid flat and the kerchief is folded, can be replaced by a step of holding the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 respectively and twisting the kerchief in such a manner that the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 rotate in different directions relative to each other. - Please refer to
FIG. 8 , which shows a perspective view of the kerchief being turned inside out according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure. The process of manufacturing the kerchief Q according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure further includes a step 6: pulling thefirst surface 13 inside out through the section F that was left unsewn. This way, thefirst surface 13 that was located inside the kerchief Q is pulled to the outside, and thesecond surface 14 that was located facing the outside is turned to face the inside of the kerchief Q. Moreover, a first opening portion M1 and a second opening portion M2 communicating with the first opening portion M1 are formed after step 5, in which the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 are sewn together, is performed. Furthermore, via step 5, the single-layer tubular body 1′ forms a double-layer structure. That is to say, the kerchief Q includes a firststructural layer 1A and a secondstructural layer 1B connected to the firststructural layer 1A. - Please refer to
FIG. 9 toFIG. 11 .FIG. 9 is a front view of the kerchief according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure,FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the kerchief according to one embodiment of the instant disclosure, andFIG. 11 is a sectional view ofFIG. 10 taken along line XI-XI. The kerchief Q made through the aforementioned steps includes the firststructural layer 1A, the secondstructural layer 1B, the first opening portion M1, and the second opening portion M2. The kerchief Q surrounds a wrapping space M through which the users of the kerchief Q can wrap the kerchief Q around the head or the neck. - More specifically, the first
structural layer 1A encloses the wrapping space M, the secondstructural layer 1B being connected to the firststructural layer 1A, the firststructural layer 1A and the secondstructural layer 1B being layered together in such a manner that the secondstructural layer 1B encloses the firststructural layer 1A and the wrapping space M at the same time. Furthermore, the first opening portion M1 communicates with the wrapping space M, the second opening portion M2 communicating with the wrapping space M, the first opening portion M1 and the second opening portion M2 communicating with each other through the wrapping space M. - It is noted that, since the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 are connected to each other in an offset manner during the process of aforementioned steps, the size of the first opening portion M1 is larger than the size of the second opening portion M2. Furthermore, the mutually offset and sewn together first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 form the first opening portion M1. In addition, since the first opening end S1 and the second opening end S2 are mutually offset, the second opening portion M2 includes a twist structure.
- It is noted that a gap G exists between the first
structural layer 1A and the secondstructural layer 1B. Moreover, the elasticmain body 1 that consists of the firststructural layer 1 and the secondstructural layer 2 is an elastic fabric or a flexible material such that the kerchief Q is suitable to different users. This way, the kerchief Q can be wrapped fixedly around a user's head. - Please refer to
FIG. 12 toFIG. 16 , which show a user H wearing the kerchief Q according the instant embodiment in different ways. InFIG. 12 andFIG. 13 , the kerchief Q is used as a head band, and inFIG. 14 andFIG. 15 , the kerchief Q is used as a cap. Furthermore, the kerchief Q can serve as a scarf as shown inFIG. 16 . However, it should be noted that the way of using the kerchief Q according to the instant embodiment is not limited to the above description. For instance, the user H can use the kerchief Q as a head mask or a nose mask. - In summary, the instant disclosure is advantageous in that, with the technical features that the first opening portion M1 has a size larger than that of the second opening portion M2, and that the second opening portion M2 includes a twist structure, the kerchief Q provides users with different kerchief wrapping styles.
- The descriptions illustrated supra set forth simply the preferred embodiments of the present invention; however, the characteristics of the instant disclosure are by no means restricted thereto. All changes, alterations, or modifications conveniently considered by those skilled in the art are deemed to be encompassed within the scope of the instant disclosure delineated by the following claims.
