- The disclosure and prior art relates to polishing devices and more particularly pertains to a new polishing device for inhibiting nail polish from spilling onto a surface when the nail polish is applied to a fingernail.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a nail polish bottle. The nail polish bottle is selectively manipulated thereby facilitating nail polish to be applied to a fingernail. A disk is provided and the disk is selectively positioned on a support surface. A finger is selectively positioned on the disk having the finger being positioned to have the nail polish to be applied to the fingernail. A holder is coupled to the disk. The holder insertably receives the nail polish bottle such that the holder inhibits the nail polish bottle from tipping over.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a nail polishing system according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new polishing device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , thenail polishing system 10 generally comprises anail polish bottle 12. Thenail polish bottle 12 is selectively manipulated thereby facilitating nail polish to be applied to afingernail 14. Thenail polish bottle 12 may be anail polish bottle 12 of any conventional design. Moreover, thenail polish bottle 12 may contain a liquid nail polish or the like. Thenail polish bottle 12 has abottom end 16. - A
disk 18 is provided and thedisk 18 is selectively positioned on asupport surface 20. Thesupport surface 20 may be a table top or the like. Afinger 22 is selectively positioned on thedisk 18. Thus, thefinger 22 is positioned to have the nail polish applied to thefingernail 14. Thedisk 18 has atop surface 24, abottom surface 25 and an outer edge 26 extending therebetween. Thebottom surface 25 is selectively positioned on thesupport surface 20. Thefinger 22 is selectively positioned on thetop surface 24 of thedisk 18. - A
pad 28 is provided. Thepad 28 is coupled to thebottom surface 25 of thedisk 18. Thepad 28 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. Thus, thepad 28 frictionally engages thesupport surface 20 thereby inhibiting thedisk 18 from sliding on thesupport surface 20. Thepad 28 may be comprised of rubber or the like. - A
holder 30 is provided. Theholder 30 is coupled to thedisk 18. Moreover, theholder 30 insertably receives thenail polish bottle 12. Theholder 30 inhibits thenail polish bottle 12 from tipping over. - The
holder 30 comprises apanel 32 that has afirst surface 34, asecond surface 36 and aperipheral edge 38 extending therebetween. Theperipheral edge 38 has afront side 40, aback side 42, a firstlateral side 44 and a secondlateral side 46. Theback side 42 is concavely arcuate between the firstlateral side 44 and the secondlateral side 46. Each of the firstlateral side 44 and the secondlateral side 46 angle outwardly between thefront side 40 and theback side 42. Thefirst surface 34 is coupled to thetop surface 24 of thedisk 18. Moreover, theback side 42 is substantially coextensive with the outer edge 26 of thedisk 18. - The
second surface 36 has a well 48 extending toward thefirst surface 34. The well 48 is centrally positioned on thepanel 32. Moreover, the well 48 insertably receives thebottom end 16 of thenail polish bottle 12. The well 48 has a boundingsurface 50 and the boundingsurface 50 is continuous such that the well 48 has a circular shape. - A plurality of
flaps 52 is provided. Each of theflaps 52 is coupled to and extends inwardly from the boundingsurface 50 of the well 48. Theflaps 52 are spaced apart from each other and are distributed around the boundingsurface 50. Each of theflaps 52 has adistal end 54 with respect to the boundingsurface 50. - Each of the
flaps 52 tapers to a point between the boundingsurface 50 and thedistal end 54. Thedistal end 54 corresponding to each of theflaps 52 is directed toward acenter 56 of the well 48. Each of theflaps 52 is comprised of a deformable material such as rubber or the like. Thus, each of theflaps 52 frictionally engages thenail polish bottle 12 when thenail polish bottle 12 is positioned in thewell 48. - In use, the
disk 18 is positioned on thesupport surface 20 and thenail polish bottle 12 is positioned in thewell 48. Each of theflaps 52 frictionally engages thebottle 12 thereby inhibiting thebottle 12 from tipping out of the well 48. Thefinger 22 is positioned on thetop surface 24 of thedisk 18. Thenail polish bottle 12 is manipulated in the convention of applying nail polish. Thedisk 18 inhibits the nail polish in thebottle 12 from spilling onto thesupport surface 20. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
