Abstract
The present discloses a clasp for jewelry chain, which comprises a housing combined by a first cover body and a second, a chain placing portion, chain length adjusting portions, and securing and adjusting structure that is specially designed for securing the jewelry chain and adjusting the length of the jewelry chain randomly in the clasp. After the chain is arranged in the chain placing portion and traverses through the chain length adjusting portions, the chain can be secured by the clasp and the length and tightness of the chain can be adjusted under the action of an external force. The structure of the clasp of jewelry chain of the present invention breaks through a conventional technology, which can satisfy various demands of different consumers.
Description
- The present invention relates to the field of jewelry, and more particularly, to a clasp for jewelry chain which can adjust the length of the chain randomly.
- Jewelry like bracelet and necklace is noticeable for decoration of modern people. The opening and closing ends of the bracelet in prior art are respectively provided with a hook and a loop that can be opened and closed. When the hook is opened, the loop is placed in the hook and then the hook is closed. Obviously, the bracelet has the defects that neither the length nor tightness of the bracelet can be adjusted.
- For example, China Patent CN101040740 B discloses a length or wristband of adjustable bracelet, which includes: a first link including two ends defining first and second secured points of attachment; a stopper including a through hole that allows the link to pass therethrough, releasable means for locking the link in the through hole, and means for securing one of the ends of the link; and a securing element associated with the first point of attachment, the link being on one hand secured to the stopper by the second secured point of attachment using the securing means, and on the other hand engaged in the through hole so as to be able to be locked at a variable locking point, by the locking means, or to slide therein when the locking means are released, and the link further comprising, a variable point of attachment located substantially half-way between the second secured point of attachment and the variable locking point. According to the technology, the length is adjusted by adjusting the position of the node through a manner of presetting variable nodes and in case of dragging the chain. Apparently, the technology has the defect that the length cannot be adjusted randomly.
- Therefore, there is a need to improve technology in prior art, and provide a novel clasp structure to solve the technical problem that the length of the chain in the prior art cannot be adjusted randomly.
- The object of the present invention is to provide a novel clasp for jewelry chain so as to solve the above technical problems in prior art. According to the present invention, the length of the chain can be adjusted randomly, if desired, after the jewelry chain is run through the clasp so as to satisfy the requirements of different consumers.
- According to the present invention, the following technical solutions are employed to achieve the above object:
- a clasp for jewelry chain comprising:
- a housing combined by a first cover body and a second cover body in a manner that can be opened and closed;
- a chain placing portion arranged on the first cover body to place one end of the chain;
- chain length adjusting portions arranged on the first cover body and the second cover body of the housing respectively to make the chain pass through the housing for placement, so as to adjust the length of the chain under the action of an external force;
- a first securing member for a first adjusting member arranged in the first cover body;
- a first adjusting member arranged in the first securing member for the first adjusting member;
- a second securing member for a second adjusting member arranged in the second cover body; and
- a second adjusting member arranged in the second securing member for the second adjusting member and matched with the first securing member for the first adjusting member; wherein after the chain is arranged in the chain placing portion and traverses through the chain length adjusting portions, the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are matched with each other to secure the chain and adjust the length and tightness of the chain under the action of an external force.
- Preferably, the chain length adjusting portions are arranged to be semi-circles mutually aligned on the first cover body and the second cover body, so as to form a through-hole after the first cover body and the second cover body are closed; and the chain placing portion is a hole arranged at one end of the second cover body. In one embodiment, the housing is made of metallic materials, for example, gold, silver, copper or stainless steel.
- According to one embodiment of the clasp for jewelry chain of the present invention, the clasp for jewelry chain is provided with a strut rod, wherein one end of the first cover body and the second cover body is provided with a through-hole to receive the strut rod, so as to allow that the first cover body and the second cover body can be opened or closed.
- According to one embodiment of the clasp for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are elastic silicon sheets. Preferably, the first adjusting member is shaped as an arc, one end of which is substantially shaped as an S.
- According to one embodiment of the clasp for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first securing and adjusting member and the second securing and adjusting member are made of silica gel.
- According to one embodiment of the clasp for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first adjusting member is a cantilever spring made of steel.
- According to one embodiment of the clasp for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are gears, in which the chain is provided with a concave-convex structure, so that a chain body can be locked by the gears.
- The structure the clasp of the jewelry chain of the present invention breaks through the conventional technology in this art, and adopts a novel elastic structure and a securing structure to enable that the jewelry chain secured and traversed through the clasp can be adjusted randomly by overcoming the elasticity of the elastic structure under the pulling of an external force, which satisfy the demands of different consumers.
- The invention will be better understood from a reading of the following detailed description in conjunction with the drawing Figures in which like reference designations are utilized to designate like elements, and in which:

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the clasp for jewelry chain according to one embodiment of the invention; -
FIG. 2 illustrates the jewelry chain after the clasp and the chain is connected according to one embodiment of the invention; -
FIG. 3 illustrates the jewelry chain ofFIG. 2 , showing the chain traversing through the clasp of the invention; and -
FIG. 4 illustrates the jewelry chain ofFIG. 2 , showing that the length can be adjusted by the clasp. - As shown in
FIG. 1 toFIG. 4 , aclasp 100 for jewelry chain of the present invention includes a housing which is combined by afirst cover body 110 and asecond cover body 120 in a manner that can be opened and closed. Thefirst cover body 110 and thesecond cover body 120 can be connected by means of a hinge, so as to open or close thefirst cover body 110 and thesecond cover body 120 conveniently. - In one embodiment of the present invention, the housing is made of metallic materials, such as gold, silver, copper or stainless steel. Certainly, the housing may also be made of other materials, which depends on the actual demands and the requirements of application scenes.
- According to one embodiment of the
clasp 100 for jewelry chain of the present invention, theclasp 100 for jewelry chain is provided with astrut rod 130, and one end of thefirst cover body 110 and the second cover body is provided with a through-hole 111, and thesecond cover body 120 is similarly provided with a hole (not shown) for receiving thestrut rod 130 therein so as to make thefirst cover body 110 and thesecond cover body 120 being opened or closed. - Further, the
first cover body 110 is provided with a chain placing portion to place one end of an entirelong chain 200. In order to adjust the length of thechain 200 placed, chainlength adjusting portions first cover body 110 and thesecond cover body 120 of the housing, so that thechain 200 can be traversed through the housing for placement. When theend portion 210 of the long chain is pulled forcibly, the length of thelong chain 200 can be adjusted easily. Specifically, structure adjusting thelong chain 200 includes first adjustingmembers member 150, in which the first adjustingmember 160 has elasticity and is clamped above the first securing member for the first adjustingmember 150, while the first adjustingmember 180 is then arranged in the cavity of the first securing member for the first adjustingmember 150. Further, structure for adjusting thelong chain 200 includes a second securing member for the second adjustingmember 140 arranged in thesecond cover body 120 and a second adjustingmember 170 arranged in the cavity of the second securing member for the second adjustingmember 140, wherein the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are matched with each other to attain adjusting and securing effects. - As shown in
FIG. 2 toFIG. 4 , after thelong chain 200 is arranged in the chain placing portions and went through the chain length adjusting portion, the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are matched with each other to secure the long chain and forcibly pull theend portion 210 of thelong chain 200, so that the length and tightness of thelong chain 200 can be adjusted smoothly. - Preferably, as shown in
FIG. 1 , the chain length adjusting portions are arranged to be semi-circles 112 and 121 mutually aligned on thefirst cover body 110 and thesecond cover body 120, so as to form a through-hole after thefirst cover body 110 and thesecond cover body 120 are closed, which can receive thelong chain 200, allowing adjustment of the length of the long chain by force. Further, the chain placing portion is a hole arranged at one end of the foregoing second cover body 120 (not shown). - According to one embodiment of the
clasp 100 for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first adjustingmember 160 and the second adjustingmember 180 are elastic silicon sheets, i.e., elastic articles made of silica gel. Preferably, the first adjustingmember 160 is shaped as an arc, and oneend 161 of the arc can be substantially shaped anS 162 or a shape similar to S, i.e., having inward or outward buckling. - Preferably, according to one embodiment of the
clasp 100 for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first securing member for the first adjustingmember 150 and the second securing member for the second adjustingmember 140 may also be made of silica gel, so as to be matched with the first adjustingmember 160 and the second adjustingmember 180 perfectly. - According to an alternative embodiment of the
clasp 100 for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first adjustingmember 160 is a cantilever spring made of steel, i.e., a securing member having elasticity, wherein the spring may be compressed under the action of an external force, so as to adjust the length of thelong chain 200. - According to another alternative embodiment of the
clasp 100 for jewelry chain of the present invention, the first adjustingmember 160 and the second adjustingmember 180 are gears, and thelong chain 200 is provided with a concave-convex structure, by which thelong chain 200 can be locked. - The structure the clasp of the jewelry chain of the present invention breaks through the conventional technology in this art, and adopts a novel elastic structure and a securing structure to enable that the jewelry chain secured and traversed through the clasp can be adjusted randomly by overcoming the elasticity of the elastic structure under the pulling of an external force, which satisfy the demands of different consumers.
- It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together, may also find a useful application in other types of constructions differing from the types described above.
- While the invention has been illustrated and described in detail, however, it is not limited to the details shown, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention. Without further analysis, the foregoing will so fully reveal the gist of the present invention that others can, by applying current knowledge, readily adapt it for various applications without omitting features that, from the standpoint of prior art, fairly constitute characteristics of the generic or specific aspects of this invention
Claims (10)
1. A clasp for jewelry chain comprising:
a housing combined by a first cover body and a second cover body in a manner that can be opened and closed;
a chain placing portion arranged on the first cover body to place one end of the chain;
chain length adjusting portions arranged on the first cover body and the second cover body of the housing respectively to make the chain pass through the housing for placement, so as to adjust the length of the chain under the action of an external force;
a first securing member for the first adjusting member arranged in the first cover body;
a first adjusting member arranged in the first securing member for the first adjusting member;
a second securing member for the second adjusting member arranged in the second cover body; and
a second adjusting member arranged in the second securing member for the second adjusting member and matched with the first securing member for the first adjusting member;
wherein after the chain is arranged in the chain placing portion and traverses through the chain length adjusting portions, the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are matched with each other to secure the chain and adjust the length and tightness of the chain under the action of an external force.
2. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the clasp is provided with a strut rod, and one end of the first cover body and the second cover body is provided with a through-hole to receive the strut rod, so as to allow that the first cover body and the second cover body is opened or closed.
3. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are elastic silicon sheets.
4. The clasp in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the first adjusting member is shaped as an arc, and one end of which is substantially shaped as an S.
5. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the first securing member for the first adjusting member and the second securing member for the second adjusting member are made of silica gel.
6. The clasp in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the first adjusting member is a cantilever spring made of steel.
7. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are gears respectively, and the chain is provided with a concave-convex structure, so that the chain body can be locked by the gears.
8. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the housing is made of metallic materials.
9. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the chain length adjusting portions are arranged to be semi-circles mutually aligned on the first cover body and the second cover body, so as to form a through-hole after the first cover body and the second cover body are closed.
10. The clasp in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the chain placing portion is a hole arranged at one end of the second cover body.
