Description

    PRIORITY CLAIM
  • This application claims the priority benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/400,799 filed Sep. 28, 2016 titled “Decorative Container” of Jamie LeMaster, hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety as though fully set forth herein.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Disposable packaging is often provided for tissues and wipes to maintain the tissues and wipes in a clean environment until use. The packaging for wipes is often sealed to prevent the wipes from drying out.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1A is a front view of an example decorative container.
  • FIG. 1B is a perspective view of the example decorative container shown in FIG. 1A.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the example decorative container shown in FIG. 1B, wherein a cover of the decorative container is shown as it may be removed from a body of the decorative container.
  • FIG. 3 is a top view of the example decorative container with the cover removed as shown in FIG. 2, wherein wipes are visible as these may be provided within a cavity of the body.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the example decorative container with a lid shown in an open position so that wipes can be removed.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • Most tissues and wipes are often purchased with some sort of packaging. For example, tissues may be packaged in a cardboard box, and wipes may be packaged in a plastic bag or plastic box. The packaging is often disposable, and may not match or even complement existing decor of the purchaser. Packaging may be brand-intensive (e.g., labeled with the brand name or colors), or some random design and/or coloring. The packaging is typically not “child-friendly” even for child products like baby wipes. The container may be at least partially manufactured of a plush material and/or other material.
  • A decorative container is disclosed herein as it may address some or all of these issues with the existing packaging for tissues, wipes, and/or similar product lines. In an example, a decorative container includes a container portion with a cavity for wipes or tissues. A lid may be provided on the container portion so that the wipes or tissues may be removed. The example decorative container also includes a weighted bottom portion under the container portion. The example decorative container also includes a decorative portion.
  • Before continuing, it is noted that as used herein, the terms “includes” and “including” mean, but is not limited to, “includes” or “including” and “includes at least” or “including at least.” The term “based on” means “based on” and “based at least in part on.”
  • FIG. 1A is a front view of an example decorative container 10. FIG. 1B is a perspective view of the example decorative container 10 shown in FIG. 1A.
  • In an example, the decorative container 10 includes a container portion 12 having a cavity 14 (see, e.g., FIG. 2) configured to receive tissues or wipes 1. The example decorative container 10 also includes a weighted bottom portion 16. The weighted bottom portion 16 may be attached or otherwise provided under the container portion 12.
  • The example decorative container 10 may include one or more decorative portion. In the example shown in the drawings, the decorative portion represents an animal, such as an animal head 18 and tail 20 of the animal. The decorative portion (e.g., head 18 and tail 20) may be affixed to at least one sidewall 13 a-d of the container portion 12.
  • The weighted bottom portion 16 may be configured to provide stability and to aid in maintaining the decorative container 10 on a dresser top or other surface, even when a tissue or wipe is being pulled out of the container portion (and might otherwise tip or lift off the surface). Other weighting for the decorative container 10 may also be provided to aid in this respect.
  • The weighted bottom portion 16 may be decorative. The weighted bottom portion 16 may be consistent with the decorative portion of the container portion 12. In the example shown in the drawings, the weighted bottom portion 16 represents animal legs.
  • The decorative container 10 enables a new, decorative presentation for already existing wipes (e.g., hand wipes or baby wipes) or tissue container. The hand wipes or baby wipes may be provided separately and thus need not be included as part of the decorative container 10. The container portion 12 may be a part of (e.g., within the back of the animal or other plush decoration).
  • In an example, a color or pattern is added to the container portion 12 to match the decoration. In another example, some or all of the color or pattern may be permanently printed on the plastic container.
  • Other decorative containers may be provided and are not limited to those shown and described herein. For example, other decorative containers may include cars, cartoon characters, or licensed creations (e.g., comic book super heroes, etc.). In an example where the decorative portion is a car, the weighted bottom portion 16 may represent the wheels of the car and the decorative portions may include the front and rear of the car.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the example decorative container 10 shown in FIG. 1B, wherein a cover 22 of the decorative container 10 is shown as it may be removed from the body or container portion 12 of the decorative container 10. FIG. 3 is a top view of the example decorative container 10 with the cover 22 removed as shown in FIG. 2, wherein wipes 1 are visible as these may be provided within the cavity 14 of the container portion 12. FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the example decorative container 10 with a lid 24 shown in an open position so that wipes 1 can be removed.
  • In an example, the cover 22 is a removable cover. The removable cover 22 is configured to fit on the container portion 12 of the decorative container 10. The cover 22 may be hinged, or may lift entirely off of the container portion 12. The cover 22 may snap or otherwise engage with the container portion 12.
  • In an example, the tissues or wipes 1 are prepackaged for resale. As such, the wipes 1 may be provided with the packaging into the container portion 12 of the decorative container 10. In another example, the tissues or wipes 1 may be removed from the packaging to be provided into the container portion 12 of the decorative container 10.
  • Once the tissues or wipes 1 are provided into the container portion 12, the cover 22 may be closed. A lid 24 on the container portion is configured to operate between an open position and a closed position on the container portion 12 of the decorative container 10. The lid 24 may be opened to remove one or more wipes 1. The lid 24 may then be closed to help retain moisture in the wipes 1 and/or help maintain cleanliness of the tissues or wipes 1.
  • It is noted that the examples shown and described are provided for purposes of illustration and are not intended to be limiting. Still other examples are also contemplated.
