Description
- The present invention relates generally to beds and more particularly, to an electric bed.
- When compared with a traditional bed having a stationary frame, an electric bed has a frame which can lift a specific body portion, such as shanks, thighs, or back, etc. by user, so that user can change a reclining posture freely, and the comfortableness would be enhanced. A part of users even likes to read books, watch TV, eat, or use smart phone or tablet on the electric bed with a comfortable posture. However, these things such as book, smart phone or tablet are usually left on the bed after being used by user, thus the user may feel uncomfortable during rest, and it's easy to damage these things. Therefore, user needs to purchase a nightstand or place a table or a chair beside the bed for placing these things. However, these nightstand, table and chair occupy space. Accordingly, current design of electric bed has no place for storing the things.
- The present invention has been accomplished in view of the above-noted circumstances. It is an objective of the present invention to provide an electric bed, so that users can store things in the electric bed with convenience.
- To attain the above objective, the present invention provides an electric bed including a frame, an actuator and a drawer. The frame includes a fixed rack, a movable rack movably disposed at the fixed rack, and two slidingly connecting portions located at the fixed rack or the movable rack. The actuator is disposed between the fixed rack and the movable rack in a way that the movable rack is movable relative to the fixed rack. The drawer is disposed at the two slidingly connecting portions by two sides thereof and movable relative to the frame.
- Accordingly, users can store things into the drawer directly, so that the users can take the things easily when they want to use the things. In addition, the drawer would not occupy space after moving back.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an electric bed according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is another perspective view of the electric bed according to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention. -

In this embodiment, themovable rack 30 on the left ofFIG. 2 has aback rack 31 movably disposed at a front side of thehip rack 23 of therack body 21, ahead rack 32 movably disposed at a front side of theback rack 31, twosecond supporting boards 37 respectively disposed at top sides of theback rack 31 and thehead rack 32, and twosecond cushions 39 respectively disposed at top sides of the twosecond supporting boards 37 corresponding to theback rack 31 and thehead rack 32. Themovable rack 30 on the right ofFIG. 2 has athigh rack 33 movably disposed at a rear side of thehip rack 23 of therack body 21, ashank rack 35 movably disposed at a rear side of thethigh rack 33, twosecond supporting boards 37 respectively disposed at top sides of thethigh rack 33 and theshank rack 35, and twosecond cushions 39 respectively disposed at top sides of the twosecond supporting boards 37 corresponding to thethigh rack 33 and theshank rack 35. Theback rack 31, thehead rack 32, thethigh rack 33 and theshank rack 35 are located correspondingly to user's back, head, thighs, and shanks, respectively. It should be noticed that, in other embodiments, the twomovable racks 30 can be other rack bodies movable relative to the fixedrack 20, alternatively thehip rack 23 of therack body 21, theback rack 31, thehead rack 32, thethigh rack 33, theshank rack 35 and these first and second supportingboards second cushions - Referring to
FIGS. 2 and 5 , in this embodiment, each of the slidingly connectingportions 40 is composed of two connectingmembers 41 and has atop plate 43 disposed at a bottom side of theshank rack 35 of themovable rack 30, a standingplate 45 extending downwardly from thetop plate 43, and abottom plate 47 extending horizontally from a bottom end of the standingplate 45. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 and 3 , the first andsecond actuators rack 20 and the twomovable racks 30 in a way that the twomovable racks 30 are movable relative to the fixedrack 20. In this embodiment, thefirst actuator 50 has two ends which are rotatably connected with thehip rack 23 of therack body 21 and theback rack 31, and thefirst actuator 50 can drive theback rack 31 to be swung relative to the fixedrack 20, so as to lift or lower user's back. Thesecond actuator 60 has two ends which are rotatably connected with thehip rack 23 of therack body 21 and thethigh rack 33, and thesecond actuator 60 can drive thethigh rack 33 to be swung relative to the fixedrack 20, so as to lift or lower user's thighs. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 and 5 , thedrawer 70 is disposed at the two slidingly connectingportions 40 by two sides thereof and movable relative to theframe 10, and thedrawer 70 includes abody 71 movably disposed at the two slidingly connectingportions 40, and ahandle 73 disposed at a side of thebody 71. Thebody 71 has anaccommodating space 75 for storing things. It should be noticed that, the two slidingly connectingportions 40 are used for combining thedrawer 70 and theframe 10, and there may be lots of connecting manners for connecting thedrawer 70 and the two slidingly connectingportions 40, the following description would be focused on the present embodiment. - In this embodiment, the
drawer 70 and the two slidingly connectingportions 40 are combined by the twoslide rails 80, and the twoslide rails 80 are disposed between two sides of thebody 71 of thedrawer 70 and the two slidingly connectingportions 40. Each of theslide rails 80 includes a fixedmember 81 disposed the standingplate 45 of the corresponding slidingly connectingportion 40, and aslide member 83 slidably disposed at the fixedmember 81. The twoslide members 83 are disposed at a side of thebody 71 of thedrawer 70, respectively. Thebottom plates 47 of the two slidingly connectingportions 40 are located under thecorresponding slide rail 80, respectively. Theslide member 83 is movable relative to the fixedmember 81 with thedrawer 70 along an imaginary line L. Referring toFIG. 1 , thedrawer 70 can move toward the bottom right of the figure and eventually extend out of theelectric bed 1. Referring toFIG. 2 , thedrawer 70 can move toward the left of the figure and eventually move back completely to a position under the second supportingboard 37. - Accordingly, when user wants to place things, he/she can just pull the
handle 73 to pull out thedrawer 70, and the things can be stored in theaccommodating space 75. On the other hand, thedrawer 70 would not occupy the space of the current environment after moving back. - Based on the spirit of the present invention, the structure of the
electric bed frame 1 can be modified. For example, the two slidingly connectingportions 40 can be disposed at any position (such as thethigh rack 33, theback rack 31, and etc.) of the twomovable racks 30 or the fixedrack 20. The connecting manner between the two slidingly connectingportions 40 and thedrawer 70 is not limited to using the twoslide rails 80. For example, each of the slidingly connectingportions 40 has a rail (not shown) for slidably connectingside fringes 77 of two sides of thebody 71 of thedrawer 70, so that thedrawer 70 is movable along the two rails. The structure of the connectingmember 41 can be modified. For example, thebottom plate 47 can be omitted. Alternatively the connectingmember 41 is a set of bolt and nut which can directly connect thefixed member 81 of theslide rail 80 with the fixedrack 20 or the twomovable racks 30. The fixedmember 81 of the twoslide rails 80 can be welded on the fixedrack 20 or the twomovable racks 30, and those connectingmembers 41 can be omitted. Thebottom plates 47 may support the bottom sides of thefixed members 81 of the twoslide rails 80. Each of the slidingly connectingportions 40 may extend integrally from the fixedrack 20 or the twomovable racks 30. - The above description represents merely the preferred embodiment of the present invention, without any intention to limit the scope of the present invention. The simple variations and modifications not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit of the invention are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
